I will expect you to deliver it to my house by tomorrow.

I will take what's in the photo. If I can't have that, then an 83' 15th Anniversary Hurst Olds.

That's just not right! Harbor Frieght tools are not something I would buy if I made a living with tools, but for the Backyard Barney like myself, they work great!

Now those are cool. Very interesting.

The only time I got even with a texter was while I was in the suv. Jackhole was on a circular entrance ramp going from westbound I-96 to southbound US-23. We were doing 15 mph!. Got freight trained by traffic. I got in front of him once we were doing about 65. I locked up the brakes, he looked up, threw his phone, I seen it hit his windshield and go into about a bazillion pieces. It's great driving a vehicle with over 200k miles on it. Texters piss me off. Cell phone users are really starting to work my nerves. Poeple tell me I need to manage my anger. I tell then that I would not have to manage it if poeple would manage thier stupidity. Just sayin'

Congrats! I did mine about three weeks ago. 1065 miles.

Pikes peak 14,100 feet to the summit. No issues what so ever. Make sure your carbs are synced and go.

I noticed it on my bike. You know what else? Look at the RSTD, look at the front fender and radiator cowling, metallic black, but the bags are straight black, no metallic in the paint. Same with the battery side covers. Some have metallic, some don't. One bike at MD had one side cover with metallic and the other side was straight black. A few of use checked this out at MD. We looked at a few bikes and this is what we discovered.

But you were there in spirit Annie.

I would have to say, it looked like about half of what we had last year.

Welcome back Goose. I value your knowledge and have asked you a few questions for guidance in the past and look forward to tapping into your brain for more in the future. Randy

Rider Magazine talks about "Darksiding"
rickardracing replied to hi 05 silver's topic in The Darksiders
I agree with this. I am running Dunlop E3's and have over 10k miles on them. No signs of needing replaced as of yet. Just because a car tire fits and seals on the rim does not mean you should do this. All I can say is I hope I am not behind one when it decides to peel off the rim and send the rider to the ground. -
Going down saturday morning, coming back home satuday evening.

He did both my 07 and my trailer. $150 each. Both will be there on Saturday if you want to see his work first hand. He does an awesome job. Price is VERY reasonable.

MPG on the Venture
rickardracing replied to JohnMidnight's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I get an average of 41 mpg. -
My 1490t that's a refubished unit I got off of ebay has the same warranty as a new one. I paid $200 for it and it works great. A baggie and zip tie for the rain. It got wet on Saturday, never had a problem. Plenty of GPS's for under 2 bills. You DO NOT need to spend all that money on a Zumo. I would stick with Garmin, just my .02

Too bad your not close enough to make Freebird's Maintainance day. There is a guy, Jbird, that does awesome pinstripe. He did my bike two years ago and then did my trailer to match the bike last year. He could probably do something awesome for you.

Thank you Annie for the update. I have a spot on my vest all picked out for it. -
I paid $1400 for my Dart trailer. Plus I striped it down and painted it to match my bike. That's alot more than most would pay but it needs to add to the looks of the bike not take away from it. You will probably be told that so and so only has x- amount into theirs and works just as well, but in my opinion if it looks like crap it ain't worth it. Mine looks sweet behind the bike, does not look like something just thrown together and pulls really nice. I get alot of compliments and thumbs up while going down the highway. You got a nice trailer and your going to enjoy it. Being it was designed and built to be pulled behind a bike, you should have no issues with it.

When we went through there was a semi right behind us. Regardless, with the amount of traffic that was on the road, your only going to go just so fast. Plus as twisty as the road is, your not going to break any land speed records. Plan on it taking about an hour in the by-pass.

I went through there this past Saturday doing our Saddle Sore 1000. South bound was closed just inside Tennessee. They routed us off at exit 160 Jellico onto 25W going through LaFollette and back onto I-75 at Caryville. Traffic moved decent. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon. Nice winding road. I do not know if it is still closed or not, but northbound was open with one lane. I had stopped at a AAA office Friday and they said it was open one lane both directions. They were wrong.

what is most miles you ever put on 1 bike?
rickardracing replied to midnightrider1300's topic in Watering Hole
I will let you know in about 10 years. -
Why thank you Donald. Just so you know, I am already pre-planning the Bun Burner 1500....................

Well the ride is complete. Don (donaldj624), myself and two other guys, Darell and Stan on Goldwings left yesterday (Saturday) morning at 8:00 am. Had a beautiful day to do this. The only real problem was the I-75 shut down on the south bound side just inside Tennessee. That really was not a problem. They routed us through Jellico on 25W. What a nice ride!! That is one twisty road! All 4 of us enjoyed it ALOT. Excepth the douche in the red Ford Ranger that tried to pass us on the right side at the last minute. He was cut off by Don, it pissed the guy off and he messed with Stan a few times. There was a line of traffic and no way he was going to go any faster than us. Plus if Don would not have cut him off, he would have ran me into oncoming traffic. A$$. Once through the twisties, we were routed to Caryville. That's where we got wet. We pulled off into a gas station to get under a canopy, gased up and waited it out for about a half hour. We made our turn around point in Knoxville (Kingston Pike Rd sorry for the earlier confusion about this....my bad!) at 4:30 pm. We ate dinner at Applebees on Peters Rd. Stan (Goldwing rider) had never been to one before, so that's where we ate. After dinner, we gased up again, got our reciepts and headed back to Michigan. I-75 north was open. Down to one lane, but it moved at 45 mph. No traffic tie ups or issues on the ride home. But, I will say, the last 200 miles.............they hurt. We stopped just south of Maumee Ohio at a rest stop and got some coffee fron the vending machine and that's all we needed to finish the last 60 miles. We just had to get off, stretch our legs and wake up a bit. After that, back on the bikes and finished the ride in Ypsilanti at a gas station there. (only one open at 3:45 am). So we did in 19 hours and 45 minutes, 1055 miles. This ride is definately NOT for the faint of heart. It can be done with no problem in 24 hours, but you need to really plan it out good, have riders that like to ride long distances and have bikes in good shape. We had an awesome time and made a memory that will laast a lifetime. Next year, the Bun Burner 1500!!
