Tom replied to 2Whlsrollin's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I think I know what hes talking about and if he clicks on ebay links to the left menu bar, then clicks parts and accessories I saw them on page 22...I will look later and post the URL to it if not found. Tom....$30.00 for a set OK I found the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Accessories___YAMAHA-ROYAL-STAR-VENTURE-SADDLEBAG-QUICK-FASTENERS_W0QQitemZ330281024762QQddnZPartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQddiZ2811QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item330281024762&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 -

RSTD oil level?
Tom replied to eazyduzzit's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
If you overfill you will develop an oil leak under the bike..1/2 way on site glass is good on alot of bikes but on mine I have to have it just below 1/2 or it leaks.Tom -
Buy a new bike with carbs?
Tom replied to keithert's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have an 04 with never a problem but I run seafoam thru it about every 6 months..I am waiting to see if Yamaha comes out with a more up to date bike in 2010..if not will be lloking at other bikes. That does not mean they are a bad bike but gauges ,FI and other things would be nice. -
Question regarding Front Brake feel
Tom replied to MickO's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Just a question, when was the last time you completely flushed the system? Mine did similar to that and the fluid was very dark so I bled brakes and clutch..All is back to normal. -
Squidley I ordered from a Scootworks yesterday,I think its the same place as his post http://www.scootworks.com/shop.cgi/page=index.html/SID=1224713527.21765

I guess I can say I got to see this first hand..A friend has a Venture with the 130 Avon And I have the Avon 150 stock size..He wanted to ride mine tio see the difference..He ordered the 150 That same day..I chose not to ride his.The stock sizes especially in what I run,Avon, handle superb!
-
My Metz chunked at 1700 miles and they were going to replace them,no cost to me..Would not give money back so I had them put Avons back on(I ordered them thru SWMOTO tires) and just ate the cost of the Metz...My life is worth far more than taking a chance on them..OHHH the only reason I put on the Metz is it was all they had in stock at the dealer and I needed tires for a run to Big Bend kater that day. Just My 2 cents worth. Tom By the way I run STOCK sizes as it handles so much better in my opinion.

No extra charge since the majority is in the tire,on the rim soap and water and just wipe it off.

I looked at it on their website..VERY nice setup..Are you going to go ahead and get the 6inch rake for better handling?

Debby and I rode in 21 at The Grand canyon 2 years ago but had the Polar-Tec underwear chaps etc..It was really not bad till the temp started climbing and the Snow started to fall..Then I got a little nervous but thank God It stopped . I like riding in cold better than Hot weather.

Also reminised when I saw some BSA 650s and old cushman eagles! Also there is live entertainment.Tom
