AVONS...Will never run anything else. 14000 on mine now and still look good..Mileage varies,I run very conservatively,65 most of time 2up 90 %of time.

Im in Lufkin,Tx tonight waiting to head back to Blanco in the morning..I have my pickup loaded with firewood and my trailer loaded also,so if I make it back in one piece I am going to have a rip roaring fire in the fireplace tomorrow night! But the good thing about Texas is it will probably be 70 degrees again Thursday so back to riding!

Kelly,Friends are leaving Sealy,Tx at daybreak,heading to Boerne,46 s to bandera and 337 to Camp wood,334 to Uvalde to marathon..540 the first day,474 the next riding around Big Bend Balmorrea ETC then back to Marathon for the night. Next day Home..390 for me,514 for Sealy bunch..Check Motel in Marathom,the Marathon Motel is booked but I think the Gage has a few spots..Call if you need to.Welcome to come along as we are just gonna enjoy some February riding. Ole,I like them OK but I do see where they would split easily..Mine hasnt in over a year though but as cheap as they are I bought 2 more sets. Yes Ole Coffee is on the agenda when all settles down. BTW A few friends and I will be riding to Big Bend area on Feb 20th(weather permitting) If you or any other wants to come along all are welcome..3 days Appx 1200 miles round trip where we have it routed.

I have the foam type grip puppies on mine..Have an extra set if you like them..Will cost you a cup of coffee here in Blanco though!

Don,I read where you dont care about the phone when riding but I just wanted to relay a situation that came up 2 weeks ago with me. Ponch,Gunboat and I were going to meet Lonestarmedic and after about 2 hours or so of riding my phone rang (hooked in with BuddyRiches cable)It was my wife and She was FRANTIC as her Mom had just had a Stroke in Junction,Texas. Needless to say I was SO glad I had the phone hooked up as Debby was going to try driving there by herself and I was able to whip around and get back home to drive her to Junction. It is really good to have in that kind of emergency.I hated to leave Ponch and Gunboat but they understood. Just my 2 cents worth. She is doing OK now a few problems but OK.Thanks again to Ponch and Gunboat for their calls!Tom

I havnt had any problem cleaning it out..Just use sopy water and wipe it clean. The "Slime" product is messy cleaning it from wheels in my tractor. Online is the only place I know to get it.

On Christmas day one of our members called me from a town close by needing help.He had a flat tire and wanted to know if anyone close repaired tires,well since it was Christmas day an obvious no but I offered my trailer(he had family with a truck there) and then I thought hey I have a few bottles of ride on in my garage so I asked where the leak was coming from and he replied the center of the tire it looks like a thorn in it.I went to help him and took the ride on.It fixed the flat and he was able to get back to Houston without loosing any air. I use it in my tires and although it is a great product(IMHO) I still look at my tires every time I ride and if I ever find a nail or whatever I will replace the tire ASAP.

Print out a copy of the memberslist here and if you have troubles trust me someone WILL help you out in case of breakdowns or just meet and eat. Other than that I use Ride-On in my tires and sit back and ride..

I read that one but if I am reading it right it downloads on the hard drive..I was thinking of having it only on a SD Card..Thanks though.Tom

I knew I had already registered but had to look to make sure..I was surprised that with all the rooms sold out at the Hub that there arent that many registered....I will say from the Ft Collins Rally,I just about missed out on a Tee Shirt because I forgot to Register..Thanks to Squid they had a few left over and I got 2! Glad I did. Anyway for those on the fence about going just ask my wife..She had a blast....we were only going to Ft Collins for the night and go on to Yellowstone but SHE said "No Way, cant we stay here?" I was SHOCKED as this was the first Rally She had EVER gone to! Tom

It is extremely nice in these parts of Texas,Alot of riding around Kerrville,Tx and Fredericks burg,Tx..The 3 sisters ride is about as good as it gets and in Feb could be cold but more than likely around 65-70s highs..Let me know and I will keep track of the weather but 9 out of 10 times it is great riding around then. Tom

If I understand this correctly our member and moderator BuddyRich makes a patch cable that basically does what you are looking for.I have it hooked thru my Garmin Zumo and hear Phone,Radio,Directions etc. Send Buddy an IM and he can help you. Tom

Don the cable allows you to hear the Zumo directions in your helmet and answer the phone and or talk if needed..I have talked to people running 70MPH and they thought I was at home on the couch it was so quiet..I know dont talk on cell while driving,some can and some cant..Anyway it is nice as a New VR member called me one day when I was over in Llano,Tx and I was able to get the call and arrange where to meet him..It is nice..Also it was REALLY nice that Buddyrich installed it for me..

OK For the more Electronic whizs can you download the VentureRider Members List onto an SD card and if needed put it in your Zumo 550 when needed to get to the Members list? Since it will do the picture thing I was just wondering if this is possible?Tom

Got a little ride in today,was 65 and sunny this afternoon..Also got to meet a fellow VentureRider that was staying over in Fredericksburg today,so it was a good day. Tom
