  1. You may want to check out a trailer dealer that sells lights for trailers. I picked up a LED light bar for around $30 and then a 5 wire to 4 wire adapter so that it had full function. I also picked up some small LED running lights, a pair of amber and a pair of red, and mounted them on the saddlebags between the chrome crash bar on the rear, and hooked up the reds as running, and the ambers as turn signals. OIf course I also did a set of strip lights, LED, on the sides of the bags as running lights as well. Then again, I have been accused of turning bikes into Christmas trees as well...
  2. He's right, each pickup actualy has 2 inside them, for a total of 4. I was thinking more on the linres of the cdnter tap being bad which would in effect kill both of the coils. The 110 ohms is from the center tap to each coil. Each block has a center tap and 2 windings. If the center tap line is out you will see around 220 ohms between the 2 other wires...
  3. Hmmmm, I was gonna say between 9K to 12K depending on condition and aftermarket. Is it a regular RSV or a Midnight (or whatever the '08 extra chrome model was called)?
  4. '83 - '93 will fit, they are all the same. I have one... somewhere... that I will gladly part with it if you are sure that is the culprit. Unless the rheostat winding is broken, they can be cleaned and adjusted for tension. Even if they are a lottle bowed they can be made to still work. Just PM me your addy...
  5. Yeah, like a nice rack mounted luggage piece for a 2nd Gen...
  6. Hmmmm, you can still try running a tap thru and hope it cures that, or go to a slightly larger SAE thread but that's a last resort...
  7. You may also be having an issue with your pickup coils or wiring associated with them. If one of the pickup coils. located along the stator cover, is dead that will knock out 2 out of the 4 cylinders. There should be around 110 ohms per coil as measured from the center tap wire...
  8. Yah! that they do!! You can adjust the tension slightly on those. Also, I have a spare in unknown condition of you need one, n/c...
  9. Exactly where were you working and on what?? Maybe the dash needs resoldxcering at the input connector, a common problem... sorry, deleted info was for Mbrood...
  10. Hmmmmm, I sense road trip at MD...
  11. Yah! replace the bolt but run a tap thru the threads first before installing the new bolt, or you may end up damaging the new bolt as well as the threads it goes into is probably already damaged...
  12. Yah! shop around, there is bound to be a desaler who is inexpensive and eager to make some money. It doesn't HAVE to be a Yammy dealer...

  19. Hey Mike, if you are planning on upgrading to a MK2 headlight you will need the front and left side fairing frames as well as the front chrome piece, and the headlight bezel...
