Probably not or so it seems...

What I ewnded up doing was I relocated the resovior bottle as far forward on the inner fairing as possible by drilling out the rivits on the mount and drilling new holes, then I mounted the MK2 CB where the MK1 goes. I had a busted MK2 mount thanks to Mother, and cut out the bracket and morphed it onto the stock MK1 panel. It literally just fit! Maybe I can test the MK1 setup in the very near future somehow, and if it works you are welcome to it for a VERY reasonable price...

Hmmm, we should not assume it is even motorcycle related. Is this going to be something that the final stop is here, or is it's final destination north of here?? Is this going to be one of those you gave it to who and he is sending it to what to drop off at Idunno's...?

That almost looks like it could be a wheelchair rig... Waaaaay cool!

exhaust leak
bongobobny replied to Dr. Psycho's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
A little dab of grease may do the trick as well. It might stink for a day but will envetually bake off. You don't need to coat the entire gasket, just 3 or 4 spots just to make it sticky enough... -

Hmmmmm, something for the trike then??? He knows I need a wiring harness for a 1st gen radio, and a right side dash piece from a MK2 for a CB, but he said wrong to a 1st gen part! I hope it's not catching!!! Is it bigger than a breadbox???

First Gen Clutch Replacement
bongobobny replied to Harmonicashawn's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Hey Shawn! Hope you get the clutch done before riding season, but you still have a couple of months yet! You should join us for rides this summer, don't miss Big Tom's Regional Rally in August, Rickster's Angellica ride, etc etc!! Earl does have a pretty decent setup if you want to go that way. Is the clutch slipping? Sometimes just replacing the springs with the Barnett springs helps out. -
The MK1 CB is a controller unit similar to the tuner control module and mounts in that removable square plastic piece above the CLASS controller. The main electronics mounts in the fairing. If you have a standard just get a MK1 panel, there is currently one on Fleabay and block out the CLASS controller dection or use it as a box for stashing small things...

Yah! I agree with Mike! If you are going to trash tour anti dives then do a rebuild and put in a set of progressive springs, you will most likely never bottom. IMHO I feel the anti dives do help with stopping as it does restrict the downward plunge when stopping but what do I know, I'm just the 800 lb gorilla in the room...

Hmmmm, tough choice! The Yammi is air cooled, which can be a pain in hot weather in city driving, but looks as if it would be a little more comfortable of a ride. You are the judge of his riding skills and emotional maturity, and have already made the decision on getting him a bigger bike. He can hurt himself on a 250 just as much as a 750 or a 500. Both bikes appear to be cosmetically in very good shape, but as brought out, how about mechanically? Check date codes on the tires, and do indeed look in the resovoirs for fluid condition.

Must be Pawn Stars didn't offer them enough money. Got to pay off those gambling debts some how..

I always listen to the little voices... No you don't!!! Shut up! I'm doing the talking here...

I ran the Interstates at 80 -85 MPH 2 up towing a trailer with no problem whatsoever. Now with it being a trike I tend to keep it under 80 to save fuel but it seems to hold up just fine!

Bolts are driving me nuts!
bongobobny replied to VentureT's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You can always switch to hex head bolts as well. Use SS and they will look fine. As Eusa1 stated, make sure you are using good quality metric allen keys and make sure they are properly seated before you start to turn them. I give them a gentle tap with something heavy to make sure they are all the way in firmly as well...
