  1. I have to discipline myself to stay away from that place, I spend waaaaaay too much money there...
  2. Yup! To go with the bigger trunk you want an '85 trunk. The newer trunks are the exact trunk but the mounting hardware is different, and the racks are too. Actually they are the same as the 85 but with two arms welded to them and the rear subframe of the bike is different as well. If you have a little McGuiver in you then it can be done by hacking the arms off and maybe making a bracket. I have a MK2 bracket in my snowbound shed so next time I'm in there I will check for you as to what's involved. Also if you switch to the bigger trunk you will also need a MK2 antenna mount. They are interchangeable, it puts the antenna out farther to the side...
  3. Y'all just duct tape two clips together 180 degrees apart for quick change...
  4. Yah! Glad to hear you can tell us about your emergency landing! Good thing you found a spare, I just sent Dano a spare handle a couple of weeks ago so I can't help you out with that. How bad is your mirror? I may have a spare in fair shape for the asking...
  5. This is starting to sound more and more like a great idea!!!!
  6. Well, there has been threads on everything else Super Bowl, so how about the commercials?? I for one was disappointed this year. I think the clients should demand some of their money back...
  7. Actually I enjoyed the techno-creativity and the energy of the routine but other than that I didn't feel it was the best Super Bowl halftime entertainment they could have come up with. I honestly can't say it sucked, and I'm an old geezer myself. I'm just saying they could have come up with a better choice of groups to perform. I definately agree with the comments about God Bless America and The National Anthem as they were some of the worst renditions I've ever heard.
  8. The word "suicidal" comes to mind...
  9. Hmmmmmm, shades of a similar problem I had a few years ago with Verizon land line. Ended up giving Verizom their walking papers for both the land line AND my cell phones. Unfortunately you can't do that with cable service around here...
  10. Well, you got to do SOMETHING with all the money Jeff will be making, don't you?? Just hope it doesn't turn into a money pit...
  11. Thanks, Crash! Good luck with your surgery as well!
  12. Yes it's possible, and don't ask how I know this...
  13. Almost wet myself laughing so hard!!!
  14. Yah!! That price sounds a little high! I bet there are members that would fly in and do it for a lot less!!!!! You should find someone in Mich that would be glad to do it for a lot less money. Of course, if 2nd does go out, some members don't even bother to fix it. They just skip 2nd...
  15. I hate to say it Don, but so far the site seems to be running fine now...
  16. Things aren't quite as fuzzy today, but the eye looks like somebody got lucky with a right hook!! Jaycee, there is a nice bottle of Berringer White Zin already chilled and waiting for you!!!
  17. We always have a spare coffeemaker just in case!! I do not function without my morning java... By any chance was your coffee maker a Cusenart?? We had 3 of them go bad! They were handled under warranty, but I will never own another one. We have good luck (so far) with Hamilton Beach ones. We like the programable ones so the coffee is readsy when I get up. We have hard water, so for us to get more than a couple of years out of one is doing good, but at least they still work unlike the Cusi's we owned that went completely dead.
  18. You're always welcome to use mine, Tom...:stirthepot:
  19. Yes, but for oil changes, a personal journal of dates and mileage of oil changes should suffice. Just use a different pen for each entry, and a couple of oily fingerprints on the log should be convincing enough! If you can make them in your owner's manual that would be even better! Hopefully your owners manual is NOT in your trunk...
  20. Now that you mention it, I haven't seen you post in a while! Welcome back! Becky and I just may make it to the PIP for our first time this year so maybe meet you in person there, or MD if you "Venture" out that far...
  21. We wuill be prayomg for you, Crash! Best of luck, or if you are in the actor's Guild, break a leg!!
  22. Yah! Me too!! Must have lost something in the translation...
  23. Awww, doesn't Frigid Pink sound as good as they did in the 60's?!!?
  24. Hey, on military terms, at least they have the date in the right order as far as divisions, ie day, month, year...
  25. OK finally home! Surgery went well, and instead of my follow up for yomorrow, they decided to have it at 4:00, so Becky and I spent the day shopping instead of driving almost an hour home and then an hour back. Follow up was to remove the patch over the eye. My vision is a little blurry but already at 20/25 and will improve! The maun thing I notice is that everythoing is about 2 or 3 shades brighter in the one eye!!! Should have the other eye done next month. Will then have great vision for riding season after that, and now I can wear the really cool looking shades instead of perscription ones!! In the meantime, no alcohol for 24 hours,,,
