  1. Cool Beans!
  2. Damn! are the dogs doing ok or did you have to take them in and have them checked?
  3. Jeff, I have to say to buy the HF trailer. I have put tens of thousands of miles on towing HF trailers behind several bikes. They work out nicely and will take much of the guess work out of building a trailer
  4. I see it has new EBC rotors on the front, and Kuryakyn highway pegs on it. You did real good for 7 bills, 44K she's just breaking in...have fun with her
  5. Cool Beans!!!
  6. Just put an eyeball on all your fluid levels to make sure they are good. If you have problems with a carb bowl tap on the side of it with the turning end of a screwdriver. Other than that you really didn't hurt anything. Make sure you test all your brakes out before you take off to insure there is good pressure on the calipers.
  7. I'll try and post up some pics of it when I get home.
  8. I narrowed a HF trailer when I made a trailer out of a diamond plate truck box. The frame was 18" wide and then the tires and rims were on the outside of the box. I think the total width was 34" and I never had a single issue with the trailer. I pulled it regularly going 90 mph and ran it through the dragon behind my '86 VR with no issues.

  10. ...and that would be the genius part of your brain
  11. Ed, While I agree with the others on some of their troubleshooting I see your bike is an '06. There have been issues with some bikes and the audio units. Is your bike still under warranty? If so I would definitely take it to a dealer and have it checked.
  12. Good luck with it Mini, you have some good guys helping you check it out. Looking forward to you telling us they accepted your offer.
  13. That tan MM bib looks great, is she local to you in San Antonio Rick?
  14. Good news James! Keep it up and just remember were pullin for you
  15. Oh no, never apologize to Swifty, it just makes his head and his ego bigger
  16. It's all good Bernie, we definitely can't take our bikes or ourselves too seriously. If I have unlimited monies I would have several different bikes in the garage...and a couple of them would be H/D's
  17. I have read the other threads on this and will offer this up on this thread. I have ridden Gunboats 99 RSV on a regular basis, he is running an Avon Cobra Radial on the front and a Kumho on the rear. I have probably 4000 miles saddle time on his bike, this is just my observations. I know many folks will come on and say that the tire pressure is important and I totally agree with that. I believe that Don's bike is right at 40 psi in the rear. I dont like how the bike handles in the curves, I like to play in the twisties, perhaps a little harder than most. I feel too much flex from the back and it's not a feeling I like. Lots of variables go into how any given bike feels when it's being ridden. None of us will agree on everything as we all have our own unique way that we ride and what feels "Right" to us. I can say that I WONT put a CT on a 2 wheel bike anytime soon. I will spend the extra $200 a year to replace a rear tire for the difference in the mileage. This is not a flame against CT's, if folks feel comfortable in riding them, thats cool. I'm the kind of guy that will try it before I make a comment on it, so I can 1st hand convey what I felt. If you live in Kansas and drive the strait as an arrow slab for most your miles, a CT might be for you. This site is for information and folks have to make up their own minds if this is for them. Never take anyones word here as the gospel on anything. Were are just like everyone else and make mistakes. Anything I tell folks is my experiences with any given subject. I recommend things to folks, I dont say that this is the only way to do any given thing. If you have done your homework, give it a try, the worst your going to have to do is take it back off and buy another bike tire. There will plenty of members that will buy a CT off you
  18. Different, not sure that I would use them, but different
  19. Dave, Just relax and let the process take it's due course. You have good recepits and maintenance records, we dont know the hoops that the dealer has to jump through either. Like I said earlier to you, there is another engine available if it comes down to that. Deep breath and just present them with the facts, I still dont believe your going to get shafted here...it will all work out in the end bud
  20. Hang in there brother, it's gonna warm up this weekend and atleast the sun will shine on your face at some point.
  21. All the best Randy, we'll keep you in our thoughts my friend
