  1. Your absolutely right there Randy and yes I did use it as I was watching the Grinch on the new TV....I like the Grinch, keeps the dark thoughts in my mind coming BTW....Thanks Buddy!
  2. When I talked with Kevin and he said he had a few Elves sleep over I knew something was up. He spilled the beans and I am happy to see that they surprised Shari and the kids. Nice Christmas present to be sure...glad you all had a good time
  3. Oh man that is a scary thought
  4. Merry Christmas to you and Don, hoping we can catch up with you folks again soon
  5. Merry Christmas Fishman!
  6. Barry, Congratulations on becoming a father! Life is a wondrous thing and it's good to hear that your wife delivered a healthy boy. I know all too well about the lord watching over us, some here know, but January 2 2008 my wife and I had a rear tire blow out West of Baton Rouge on I10 doing 75 mph. We walked away with minimal damage to ourselves, but a bike that looked like a pretzel. We obviously still have some work to do on the planet as we shouldn't have survived that accident. Merry Christmas to you and your family
  7. We get so much more living the reason for the season. People who have been able to do this know the feeling of the unconditional love that it brings to both the ones giving and the ones receiving. It still puts me in awe when folks that have nothing to give, receive, and it changes their lives. This is better than any gift I have ever received and I will continue to do it until I no longer can.....good on you folks too for all you do
  8. Thank you Lewis, may you and Charlene have a great Christmas and new year.
  9. Lonna and I dont usually buy for the family or each other. This year we decided to buy ourselves a new TV as we have been looking for one and ended up buying a Vizio 47" LCD. As we try to do, and have for the last few years, we adopted a family and sent them monies to help them along this Christmas season. Just being able to have a little money in the bank and help those in need is a far better Christmas gift we can give ourselves then buying each other stuff
  10. On this day, as I have for many years in the past, I'm wishing you, Jesus, a Happy Birthday. You, speaking for myself, have brought me many things to be thankful for. Walking away from an accident almost 3 years ago with my wife was one of the many blessings you bestowed upon me....and I Thank You. You have also made it possible in my life to have all my friends here. Many of them I love as much as life, and you continue to watch over us and keep us safe. While we celebrate your birth, and look for the goodness in mankind. I want to thank you for all the gifts you give myself and all of us. Just the fact that we are a family here, is more payment than I could ever hope for. To all my friends here, and you know who you are, Thank you for being a part of my life.....and Merry Christmas to all of you. May the spirit always be with you through out the coming year.....Amen
  11. Good Thinking Herb!
  12. Why Yes....Yes I do, silver and black, who wants what color?
  13. Keep it up you OLD bird Annie....were excited to have you both over here and we'll find you at some point along your adventure....maybe more BTW we WILL have a M&E here in Texas for you 2
  14. Besides the battery possibly being bad, I would check where the ground wire is attached to the frame and make sure it's spotless. Let me also say that just because the battery is new, doesn't mean it's good. I have seen a few times where brand new batteries puked within a month or 2. Something else to look at it your ignition switch, the G2 Ventures in the early years are notorious for switches going bad, Wings could be the same way....
  15. Jon, On the 1st gens there are 2 sealing points for the thermostat. The 1st one is internal and slides over the lip of the thermostat itself the 2nd is an O-ring that seals the cover to the housing. I would replace both of them with new ones so you dont have any issues. as far as the "New" part to the old, as long as one is the O-ring and the other slides over the stat lip then your good.
  16. Nice insight Tom, and I couldn't agree with you more. Don and I have talked before on just what you mentioned, this site has surpassed his wildest imagination. I too have made many, what I hope, lifelong friends...you and Vic are a part of that. This place is like Karma, you recieve more than you give, atleast that is how it's been for myself and Lonna. We wouldn't be where we are if it wasn't for several of the members down here in Texas. I pass your wishes right back to you both, and I look forward to seeing you 2 again next year
  17. Thanks Folks
  18. Happy Belated Birthday my friend!!
  19. Thank you Annie, may Alan and your 2011 be your best ever....looking forward to having you both stateside
  20. Sad news indeed
  21. Yes I do know I left myself wide open with that statement I'm getting to the point where I want to start looking at putting some time in on the '99. What I need from you folks here is this, I want to locate a smashed 2nd Gen, I dont care about the plastic. It obviously cant look like a pretzel, but I need the hardware off the bike and perhaps some of the sub assembly framework. I will go crazy trying to nickle and dime find all this stuff so I'd like to purchase a complete wrecked bike. I will be watching Crashed Toys and other such sites, but if you could pass on info if you see a wrecked RSV in your local Craigslist or any other listings I would really appreciate it.
  22. There are a couple of things it could be Brian. My phone is always on and once you can get a better look at it we'll narrow it down
  23. Heres the link Fellas.... http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=2919&title=several-accessories-for-sale&cat=7
  24. Brian, A little more specifics would help, where exactly is the water coming from? Front or back of the bike and have you done any maintenance to the bike related to cooling systems parts like hoses or drain plugs? Just trying to narrow it down a bit, if you could take a pic of where it's coming out from we can try to help you trouble shoot it. My cell # is in my profile, give me a call and we can chat a bit.
