  1. December 7th 1941 is the day that our greatest generation were called upon to save the world....and they did. God Bless ALL our Warriors, past, present and future.
  2. Hope it all works out well in the end James.
  3. I have had 8 Ventures 4 1st gens (84, 2 86's and an 89) and I have had 4 2nd gens (3 99's and an 08) I wouldn't trade back if I had a choice, the G2 is much more comfortable for me and the wife. I'm not worried about carving up a road. If I wanted that I would have bought an ST 1300 or an FJR. 1st gens are great bikes, and way ahead of their time back in the day, but the foot position now is uncomfortable to me, 2nd gen all the way for me.
  4. Vern....you need a new dealer, they make the E3's in the sizes for both the 1st and 2nd gens front and rear.
  5. That would be one of the reasons we left the frozen north, sorry Owl, your on your own. Just remember that your more than welcome to come down to Texas and visit when you get sick of that white crap!

    Old Farts

I'll admit it....you guys are OLD Farts! I'm not, I just like reading some of the issues you geriatrics have
  7. Cool Beans!
  8. Tom, It was a 2 fold thing, we absolutely needed to get out of Houston! (Love our friends here, hate the city) I know you well enough to say that you wouldn't ask for help, I'm the same way. Christmas is about giving, and what we were able to do for you, gave to us in the same way it gave to you. We feel as good as Debbie does looking at the tree and knowing that it makes you both smile...so you see, you gave right back to us. As always thank you for the hospitality my friend, it's always good spending time with you folks. We'll see you again real soon and I promise we'll relax a bit more
  9. I agree with many of the others here, the Oberlin is a decent place and close to Don's, but after how they treated the group last year, there are a few choice words that I can't use here to explain to them how I feel about their establishment. The only way a place like that learns a lesson is by taking money away from them
  10. I would love to host one here at the house, as I have all the tools we'd need. My problem is time, I dont have any of it. Elder, how are you set for tools at your place I know several of us could bring the specific tools like Carbtunes and such.
  11. Congrats to all of you!
  12. That was VERY cool!
  13. Have fun and be sure to take pics so we can se what the world looks like upside down.
  14. You just keep digging deeper there Doodle
  15. I'm right with you Randy, got queasy watching it.....aint no way I'd go up there...ever!
  16. I hate that gravity stuff sometimes
  17. I see people are stampeding to give out their addresses
  18. Just shows to go you that your eyesight is going bad
  19. Love the vintage pic of you
  20. She's still a cutie, you done good with that one fishman
  21. All the best my friend, we'll keep you and the family in our thoughts.
  22. I'm with Kreg on this one, if you need a place to stay around Houston the door is open and we have plenty of room. Have a safe trip Bud, California....that explains a lot about you now
  23. Dick, What is the item of trade that you have worth? Obviously if your going to flip it I'd personally want to make about 40% minimum to make it worth my while and aggrivation. As far as it's worth go to NADA and get a rough idea of what the resale value is on it. Another good barometer is ebay and see what similar ones have sold for recently Here's a 1990 without a windshield that went for $4200 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-Harley-Davidson-FLHTC-ULTRA-CLASSIC-/160505344962?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item255edd33c2
  24. I dont know about the Saskies, but I know several Newfies and they can keep a brewery in business for a long long time
