That is the right location, but I also like to ground the frame.

I am glad I bought my trailer from Rick Haywood last fall, but I would have been confused if I had won this one. I am proud to see so many members supported this cause. I hope Dano can get back on the two wheels soon.

I'm thinking that furring out the walls with 2x2 with foam insulation and drywall would be ideal. Gives you an attachment for shelves, cabinets and anything else you want to hang. Then WHITE paint the walls. I emphasize white because you will want that for light reflection.

I had an 1100 GW and the rear brake was the easiest to do. I always use a Mighty Vac for brake bleeding since it keeps continuous vacuum on the line so air does not get in. I have spent days on some lines. Tell him check his bleeding procedures and then keep at it.

If this machine has sat for thirty years without being turned over, you have a complete rebuild ahead of you. I learned this with a 67 Bonneville that looked great. Many dollars later it was worth more than retail value.

Where are the white walls? -
I can't believe that this thread is still alive. Yamer Dan must be ninety now...

Being from Bessemer City, NC, I have nothing to say about where to meet. But if you'all come up with a place, I will certainly try to make it.

I have used Dunlop 404 for eleven years, I get +10,000 miles from them always. They have served me well and I have 150K miles on my 02 RSMV. I will always run these. And I run the mountains of Nc all the time.

RSTD 2005 with 107,000 miles???
Sylvester replied to RSTDinFL's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
The miles are nothing for that engine. The dark fluids would make me wary. Although not an indicater of neglect it would leave one to believe that. If you buy it, change all the fluids (oil, clutch, brakes), pull the rear wheel and driveline and lubricate those. -
I am positive that this will make 600 posts. After all it took 500 just to get here and there is still no concrete layed.

I have not been able to access this site for 30+ minutes. What happened? I was almost in rehab.

Wouldn't you want to have a limit on the construction so if Ponch comes back to health he would be the default builder and you should receive royalties also. Just saying.

I built my own smoker and my favorite is beef brisket and it is not expensive. The secret is slowwww cook and inject lots of beef boullion for moisture and a hand rub. I ussually take twenty hours to complete the brisket. I will be doing a butcher"s brisket in a couple weeks for our small neighborhood. That is about 15 pounds and my neigbor on my left is doing pork butts on his smoker. Mmmmmm Can't wait.

Well there you go. You may find someone to make them while Ponch is recovering.
-
I would think that someone else could make the plates using Ponch's design if he OK'd it. I doubt if he has any patent or other such legal papers for his design. I would not make them without his permission.

Are you complaining or bragging? It is hard to tell.

Two years ago I went through the symptoms you are describing about tiredness with little exercise. After six months of heart catheterization, lung inhalers and other tests, they discovered a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung). I should have already been dead by then. I will be on coumidin the rest of my life, but I feel great now.

I wired my Gerbing's to a marine grade toggle switch locate by the left side passenger floor board. That was nine years ago and never a problem. Use a relay and it works great.

Good thing it missed the garage site, or it would be next winter and Dan would be looking for a concrete contractor.

How to search the forum

Easy for you to type this, but what about the hunt and peck members? -
They are not behind the saddle bags but under them and to the front. I have had them on my 02 RSMV since 2002 and they work great. Once a year I take them off and squirt WD-40 down the trumpet and shake them good and then drain. Very loud and give sound on both sides of the bike.

1959 at 13 years old I had a Cushman Turtle back and then a Cushman Eagle and by 1963 I had a Honda (250 Scrambler I think) and then it was "Katy" bar the door. So many since then.

I always book the Golden Nugget. It is downtown and the gambling is slightly better at the Four Queens across the street.
