  1. no scoot I delivered a hot melt glue pot to a customer. I went to Dyersburg via I65 then down to Canton Mississippi
  2. in Decatur Alabama this past week. Because of this site, a couple of great people came to my rescue by getting some pics of a piece of equipment in Decatur Al. I'm in Ohio and murph35640 in Decatur bailed me out by getting the pics and emailing them to me. As luck would have it, I had to go to Tennessee and Mississippi this week so on the way back I stopped in Decatur and met Murph35640 and his wife. Timing was perfect, I got in town just in time to take them to dinner at O'Charleys, the best steak in town. Bottom line - you meet some of the nicest people on the Venture Rider site !! THANKS Murph for all your help. Dick aka - Adventure 1943
  3. I got nuthin to say - - - -
  4. Good lookin pup - I can't bring myself to get another dog after we had to put ours to sleep 2 years ago. Chazz was with us for 17 years - enjoy your new companion
  5. I thought I was doing something when I regularly run a D-6 off the back of a float while it's still hooked to the tractor
  6. Triking is a different way of thinking - but it'll be there with a little practice. It took me about 50 or so miles to "get acquainted" with my first trike. Then I had to re-think when I went back to 2 wheels.
  7. Whichever wire you decide to use needs to be switched when you turn the key on & off, thereby integrating the relay into the on/off system.
  8. I put a small dose of motor kote in last fall. MISTAKE !! The wine is louder now than ever. I don't know whether it was the amziol or the motor kote but they are BOTH going before I start riding this year, back to Mobile 1 and no additives
  9. OH MY GOSH - Can't hardly type, got all the air sucked outta my lungs
  10. If you're talking about MD at Oberlin ( Don's place ) - yes there is going to be a pin striper, http://www.jaybirdcustomart.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=11&Itemid=10 He said he could be there Friday and Saturday. I've know him for 20 plus years and he's done several bikes for me.
  11. here's the link showing the relay wiring http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=525 A while back I emailed complete factory (Yamaha) passing lamp wiring instructions to somebody and they had them posted here somewhere - darned if I can find them
  12. It looks pretty neat in somebody else's garage
  13. Army 1960 - 1963 even in Germany we almost had a mess truck follow us when we were on maneuvers. I never developed an attachment to one, although I did have and use it. Geeeeez, I just did the math - 47 years I've been OUT of the service. Boy, time sure flies when you're having fun
  14. It looks like a persons anniversary date remains the same. I was due on the 4th of April when I paid it on the 24th of March. My anniversary date is still April 4th but in the year 2011
  15. Mine was listed - only had 10 days left. gotta year now Thanks Don
  16. Welcome home Mike - when you get a chance, please yell me about your Gamo's I was looking for something like that last year -
  17. This probably doesn't count since it's a second gen but I'll post anyway btw - it's a 2007 Venture, my color choice and layout
  18. oooooops - I have one with XM radio.
  19. As inexpensive as they are to begin with, you will be able to find one on the net somewhere for around $1500. There are too many out there not being used to bother trying to manufacture one.
  20. Ok - I just went to Amazon.com and found the set I have [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Chicago-Cutlery-Walnut-Tradition-10-Piece/dp/B00005AM7T/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1268848361&sr=1-12]Amazon.com: Chicago Cutlery Walnut Tradition 10-Piece Knife Set with Block: Kitchen & Dining@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41EojXiCxtL.@@AMEPARAM@@41EojXiCxtL[/ame] - the difference is the storage block, mine is not angled, it's straight vertical. I know I paid more when I bought them because Gore hadn't invented the internet yet.
  21. I understand that Chicago Cutlery is not considered a 'high end' knife set but I've had a set of 8 knives , storage block and steel since early 1980's and they do everything I need. As a matter of fact, I buy beef loins and cut my own steaks and have for many years and have yet to use all of the knives. There are a couple that just never get used.
  22. I'm cheap also but on top of that I don't like to impose problems on myself so I get my LED's from http://ledaccentlights.net/store/ - everything is plug & play with a lifetime warranty
  23. Presently, on my Venture I have both 'frost plugs' drilled out completely in the RK muffs. It's fairly loud when accelerating but quite tolerable when cruising, I'm wondering if anybody has just one 'frost plug' removed and which end did you remove ? I have a bit that will remove all of the plug and makes a real nice clean hole.
  24. Geeeeezz I bought mine last year, a lot more and no flap. I could have saved enough to buy my owners manual and the vendor is only 20 minutes away from me.
  25. I knew I could do that - however I wanted an original manual - but thanks
