A lot of those houses use the Wizards in Winter by the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Missed getting tickets to see them last week... Darn!!! Amazingly, contrary to their name, the TSO was founded in Florida I believe in 1996, though if I'm correct, they are now based out of New York.

Not the same video, but it's the same guy... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GX2nIep59e8&feature=related]YouTube - Life without Limits Video[/ame]

Don't get me wrong, I'm just saying that this is the first "Combat" role for Canada since I believe the Korean war where we were a part of the Commonwealth forces.
-
Regrettably, with our mission in Afghanistan, we are no longer strictly peace keeping in nature. With this mission, we have taken a combat stance in that particular theatre. I believe that's what upsets most Canadians about our presence there. I give my support to our troops despite the reason they're where they are.

What a testament to faith and courage. We are so lucky to be able to throw a leg over our bikes and ride and we take it for granted... There is a program locally that takes handicapped children for rides on horse back. They get to feel the motion of the horse and it has therapeutic value. I wonder if riding on the back of a bike might have some value as well. I know it wouldn't work for someone like the gentleman in the video, unless there was a side car, but I know when I'm stressed, need therapy, the bike is where I head...

For those who have doubts as to Canadian ability, see the movie Pashendale. It is a story set against one of the worst battles of WWI.

Grandfather, Father, and two brothers, (one retired) put their time in the Canadian forces. My younger bro is a Major in the Airforce and like others, has made us all proud. Thank You to my family members that served and a big Thank You to all those others that have done the same...

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kX_3y3u5Uo]A Pittance of Time[/ame] In Flanders Fields By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-1918) Canadian Army IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow Between the crosses row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.

I was seriously thinking of making that purchase along with the master cylinder mount. How does that location for the tach work out for you?

First off, I would like to thank Dragonslayer for his post. That was very enlightening and also very brave of you to post such comments. I know many a person that would ridicule you for such a statement, but there's too many reported incidences of near death experiences to just brush these comments off. I believe you've been blessed to have experienced this phenomenon. I can't imagine what you went through but as horriffic as it sounds you are a better person for it. Now, I darn near made a similar exit from my first bike, but lucked out and made a last second movement that saved my bacon. My first bike was known by many as the widow maker, having not been married and being quite young and wanting to stay that way, I sold my bike after that near miss on a tight corner on one of BC's southern highways. The bike in question... 1971 Kawasaki H1, 500ccs of two stroke, nonstop muscle. In a straight line, there was nothing on the road at that time that could touch it, in the corners... damn, that thing just didn't do corners. Probably set in my bones the riding style I currently have. Never been agressive in a corner since that near miss...

Hell, forget about the international??? Not likely, but I'm going to have to take my whole 6 week compliment to make that trip as it falls right before a couple of other committments I've made. I'm escorting a friend to the AMA's womens conference in Colorado next August. She'll more than likely be with me for the Int'l then we'll take a leisurely ride tothe conference and I'll hang around the Denver area for the duration and meet up with her for the return trip. I'm then heading to the Okanogan for a week to recoup before going back to work. Dang, I sure hope that I'm able to book the weeks I need...

Maybe an email to this company can point you in the right direction, if they don't have it themselves... http://www.canadianstainless.ca/ CSFI@TELUS.NET -
At the shop where I buy my tires, they have a sign that actually says that Nitrogen is more effective in Car, ATV and Truck tires, but not as effective in Motorcycle tires. Even though this sign is there, just about every bike they mount a tire on, has Nitrogen...

Bought it new in Feb this year, and put on 27,000+ km. So about 16,777+ miles there abouts and still counting.

Well, I noticed a huge change. This site took forever to load a page, and now it seems to be much quicker... Was that suposed to be addressed in the upgrade, or did I just luck out???

I didn't know they had the same type of francophones in Oz as they have in Canada... You know, the kind that play 'Ockey and eat Happles... LOL.

Funny thing is, there's a few out there that are plug and play, at least for the goldwing and there's one for a harley as well. I think the only reason there isn't one for a Venture, is purely a case of numbers... If you have to ask you can't afford... Seriously, the basic unit cost $4500 for the 48" wide model and $4800 for the 54" wide model. Add accessories and upgrades and next thing you know, you could have bought a new house... I bought an isolator unit and will see if I can't buy some connectors and make my own plug and play. If that works, who knows, maybe I'll have a new part time job... lol

They both have their +'s and -'s... I have to load any cargo ontop of my bed, kinda sucks, but the quick set up is worth the trade off in my opinion.

Got up this morning, made a rather large withdrawal from my savings, and put a down payment on a tent trailer for touring... Did I fail to mention the nearly 400km ride to Osoyoos BC to order right from the factory??? This is almost the same as I ordered... http://www3.telus.net/public/a5a14519/pics/s2door.jpg A cut away view... http://www3.telus.net/public/a5a14519/pics/sideview.jpg How fast does it set up??? http://www.leesurelite.com/settingupvideo.mpg
