  1. I'm travelling in the USA, my bike has one flag pole and on it is the Canadian flag. What is the proper etiquette in regards to showing that flag? Should I carry on as is or remove it unless I can fly an American flag with it??
  2. they have it in black...http://www.cyclegiant.com/pgroup_descrip/2787/994/?return=%3ftpl%3Dindex%26category_id%3D2787%26%26%26page%3D7%26nothumbs%3D%26filter_1%3D%26filter_2%3D%26filter_3%3D%26filter_4%3D
  3. Are you talking about the lower fairings? Those are Yamaha parts available through your local Yamaha Stealership or a few online shops...
  4. Unless otherwise indicated, (ie parenthesis) don't you perform the math in the order it's presented? Then that would equal 35
  5. Gee... Too bad, I would have loved to see the entries for the contest. There's a lot of talent out there, and I didn't have such a bad idea myself... http://www3.telus.net/drbar/pics/sign_happens.gif
  6. Looks almost exactly like my Crossover, just a different colour. What IPX rating is it given for it's water-proof rating? The Crossover is 4 but I won't trust that again...
  7. Did I not see a post in regards to a contest for designing a T-Shirt for next years rally? Is it done and over with? Is it still possible to send in a design? Did it get squashed???
  8. Al, I received a torn open, soaking wet, empty envelope in the mail last week. It originally was sent to you for T-Shirts. Are there any left??? I'll remail the cash... Doug
  9. Oh my GAWD!!!! Is that shag carpet...
  10. I have one for sale... http://www3.telus.net/drbar/pics/~ad.jpg
  11. Chances are that someone tried to force it closed, the same as mine. The support bracket got bent and now I have the same issue with getting the helmet in the back...
  12. From the album: Misc

  13. Add the right sized allen key for the chrome trim on the fairing, as it's not included in my kit...
  14. Took my little trailer for a 14,000 kilometre jaunt last summer. Every stop I checked the temperature of those hubs, every time they were as cool as a cucumber...
  15. I'd like to second Red Lodge, MT as a location for the 2009 rally. As already stated, there is some beautiful country to see and then there's Beartooth... http://www3.telus.net/drbar/pics/Red%20Lodge%20to%20Red%20Lodge.jpg
  16. Download DrTCP from the DSLReports site, and see what your settings are, then run the tweak test on the same site, they will give you suggestions to set your computer up to have peak performance on the web (these settings can be changed with DRTCP...). When I first used the site, I doubled my download speed... Doug
  17. I pulled this with my Valk, (as you can see), but I didn't even know it was there. I took a 48" trailer and cut it down to 40" wide and extended the tow bar to improve handling. It's for sale right now because I'm thinking about a tent trailer... http://www3.telus.net/drbar/pics/Bike%20and%20trailer.jpg
  18. I'd also go with the better unit offered by J&M. I have one on my Valkyrie and never had a problem with it. For the wife's bike, buy the model without the intercom and it will save you a few dollars... http://www.jmcorp.com/SeeProducts.asp?PF=24
  19. I can't believe that Havre is still all messed up. Went through there last June on my Valk, it had been raining and Havre was 4"-6" deep in slimy mud, not a fun ride through that town...
  20. ...
  21. +1 on this... Same thing happened to me, got the holding arm back into place and all was well, right up until someone slammed the lid shut from the extreme open position. Hit the "holder upper," bent the bracket then bounced open then shut with a slam. I've straigtened the bracket as good as possible without removing it, I guess that will be my next project...
  22. And they are no where near as dark as they look in that link... In Canada, they make us pay through the teeth. With a discount, I paid $215 + taxes, list is $273
  23. It's a Yamaha accessory. I believe the part # is : STR1D6088000 (At least that's what's on my receipt. It may just be a Canadian # though...)
