Thought I'd check out Yamaha Australia's site to see the options available on a Venture, hell they don't even list one on their site...

Does your fuel light come on when your turn your key on?
dr_bar replied to LilBeaver's topic in Watering Hole
All of your dash lights should come on in the self test that happens when turning on the ignition. That's your first clue that somethings wrong when one or more of those lights don't come on.... -
I hope Mikes info isn't accurate... Check out the discontinued list near the bottom. http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2010models/2010models-yamaha.htm

That seat and back rest look like the Mustang upgrade offered when I was first thinking of buying an RSV.

Motorkote comments and tracking??
dr_bar replied to Judes Dude's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I guess next time I drive to Calgary, I'll have to get an order going for those of us on the west coast that want this stuff... I don't get there that often, but my daughters are there and I do visit ocaisionally... -
I haven't been home since July 26th, so I thought I had better get back there and see what damage my lady friend has done to my well cultivated mess... rumours have been reaching me of a tidy home and I'm afraid I won't be able to find anything... Actually, I love her for being so caring and getting home so I can see her is really what it's all about. (That and something called a job that I have to get back to...)

This is probably the last thing you want to do, he'll stop being free with his useless info and probably stop comunicating completely. At the end of it all, I would let him know what you've done, or forward a link to this topic to someone well over his head... Doug

So, is this up and working??? I still can't post to the reviews pages...

Well, without taking into consideration the mass of a car, or the drivers reaction time, a car doing 55mph will take better than 200 ft to stop. Now factor in the vehicle weight of that motorhome, the reaction time of the driver, and the fact that his front wheels were lifted from the ground, 500+ feet doesn't seem all that much...

Transformer - utility trailer to M/C trailer - pics
dr_bar replied to massey130's topic in Watering Hole
For a second there, I thought it was a Harley, because it's about the only bike I usually see trailered... Actually it looks like you did a great job... -
I've had my trailer up to 85mph and no issues. Probably safest at posted speed. The main issue with a trailer isn't speed as much as how it's loaded and making sure you have an adequate, but not over weight tongue on the trailer. 10% of the total weight of the trailer is the general rule, just watch your hitch capacity.

Normally, a fuse blows when there is a problem, usually a short.... Is it possible with all the monkeying around, that someone could have pinched a wire???

Take a good long weekend or two to three days of your holidays and do; Vancouver to Whistler, Whistler to Cache Creek Via the Duffy lake road, the Cache Creek return to Vancouver via the Fraser Canyon and Agassiz with a worthwhile stop at the Harrison Hotsprings Hotel... Lots of things to do and see for example; You could try out Whistler/Blackcomb's new record breaking "Peak to Peak" gondola, 4.4km/2.73miles long, with an unsupported span 3.024km/1.88 miles long.

Well, I'm hitting the road, so I guess everybody is looked after....

I'm at the Springfield Missouri KOA so I guess that puts me a couple of hours out from the Hub. Got a big cooler, if I need to fill it with beer, I will do that on the way in. I'll check here in the morning before hitting the road. Let me know drinking preferences as well, I don't know what beer down here is worth sippin' on. Oh yeah, at what point does it become "DRY"? I'd hate to have to double back to buy beer, etc....
