yep for sure,,,,,,,,,and I'll bet you have a rule that states that you'll never be in a hurry either,,,,,,,,right? is that why you passed???????? yep, thanks for the reminder and the arm's length experience you just gave. Now I can remember this rule without having the 'fun' of learning it again.

I can'r believe all you guys,,,,,,,,as long as Cindy was in the hospital you said how much you were rooting for her,,,,,and now that she back home you all start to pick on her right away by ranting on her husband,,,,,,,,,who is now supposed to be taking time to help her get better Glad to see you've made it home Cindy,,,,,,and if there is some work left that didn't get done,,,,,,,,well at least you know you can't be missed that easy and there is a reason for your existance.

Bancroft Motor Inn is just on the north end of town,,,,,,,,we stayed at both this summer and for the difference in cost I would pick the Sword, Best Western,,,,,,,no real problems with the Motor Inn,,,,we slept well but Marca was able to swim at the B.W. and if you're early enough (8pm) there is ice cream across the road at the B.W.

1984 Wouldn't start

Agreed, carb cleaner and a weee bit of air to help out,,,,,careful with the air as there is still another diaphram in the carb that you really don't want to blow apart. The other thing is to get yourself some new plugs,,,, the old ones may look good but chances are that if they are of year previous to this one, there may be an issue with them. I replace mine every spring, whether I need to or not, that way I know if I have a problem it's not likely the plugs. -
Just for the record..............
Marcarl replied to igya's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Biggest issue is power for take off, if she idles too slow, sometime she will stall on you just when it is most inconvinent, like with another rider next to you or a Grey Hound bus coming up from the back side with all horns blaring. -
Guess from his last post he will post tomorrow,, I'm ready to ride nad eat and Green Acres sounds real good,,, can be ready at 4:30pm if that suits, sounds like Midicat and Wizard765 are interested too,,,,,,hope he doesn't wait all day to tel us what he is doing???????????????? A pastie::::::::::::at first I thought it was something I should try licking ,,,,,,but when I saw the real thing I found out it something you should sink your teeth into!!!!!!!!!!

Just for information, because I had this issue at one time: #1 cylinder is at the rear left side when sitting on the bike #2 is left side front #3 is right side rear #4 is right side front Sync # 1 to #2 first then sync # 3 to #4 then sync #4 to # 2 You might have to go back and start from scratch. Close all sync screws so that all the butterflys are closed, you'll have to look into the carbs to see this happen, You'll want them to be just closed, try not to turn the screws more than you have to to close them. do # 2 first with the idle ajustment screw then #4 then #3 then# 1 This is in reverse order from how you set the sync. Now fire up the scoot and adjust idle to around 1000 and then start the syncing process in proper order. You'll find that to start with, the idle screw will be turned in quite a ways and as you ajust the sync you'll have to turn it back to keep the idle steady. Maybe this will help.

I bought a Lowrance XOG, that is waterproof, and vibration resistant so it's meant for bikes. Little hard to see in bright daylight, doesn't accept all 4 gig cards and the screen is a little small for my liking. Paid $220.00 at RadioWorld.com. Guess new it's worth about 300. I would recommend the Zumo 550 if you can afford it, but then what wil they come up with next year??????maybe something cheaper and better, who knows? I like the voice prompts, that way my eyes can stay on the road where they belong and Naddie doesn't get all that bothersome, 'course then I only use it because I got for my birthday, I really hardly ever go the way I told. The music is nice though, and it doesn't matter how many songs I load.

K would be our place
-
It's not all that big, always fits nicely in the trunk, can't be kept alone, must have company of at least a dozen or so, can stand the heat for a little while, likes it better cool or cold, comes with skin attached, and full flavour for all to enjoy. A lot better than the pasties we dicovered in Michigan a few years ago. They were advertized all over in the penninsula. When we talk about pasties it's something only women use, and then not a whole lot of them, although they would need two to make things even. So of course we were somewhat interested in seeing just what was being sold, well we tried them and have not gone back for more as of yet. That would not be said about our pepperettes, once tried you'll not easily forget the experience. Maybe we'll see you tomorrow.

Hope this works, just an the alternative route: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=%3BFTaFgwIdKD7v-g%3BFay3jwIdhEUT-w%3BFTQCkAIdUGEh-w%3BFTcTkwId8Z8--w%3B%3BFcz_kQIdfMk1-w%3BFb_akQIdTo44-w%3BFbpejwIdXH89-w%3BFXiwjgIdKu9A-w%3BFZpHjwId_L5E-w%3BFYqjjgIdtCNB-w%3BFQh9jgIdXvRE-w%3BFRx7jgIdhIhI-w%3B%3BFf-ljgId5shL-w%3BFY7qjgIdluZL-w%3BFaBVjwIdMktL-w%3BFS3cjwIdbS1K-w%3BFTZ-kAIdjCBK-w%3BFRJGkQId0lxJ-w&saddr=17541+darden+rd.,+south+bend,+in+46635&daddr=I-69+N+%4042.173750,+-84.984280+to:I-69+E+%4042.973100,+-82.623100+to:HWY-402+E+%4042.992180,+-81.698480+to:Mud+St+W+%4043.193143,+-79.781903+to:6700+Fallsview+Boulevard,+Niagara+Falls,+Ontario,+Canada+L2G+3W6+to:Rest+Acres+Rd+%4043.122636,+-80.361092+to:CR-54%2FHWY-54+%4043.113151,+-80.179634+to:Munsee+St+N+%4042.950330,+-79.855780+to:Main+St+W+%4042.905720,+-79.630550+to:Forks+Rd+%4042.944410,+-79.380740+to:Chestnut+St+%4042.902410,+-79.617100+to:HWY-3+%4042.892552,+-79.367074+to:Wilhelm+Rd+%4042.892060,+-79.132540+to:42.905268,-78.946724+to:Albany+St+%4042.903039,+-78.919450+to:Niagara+Blvd%2FNiagara+Pkwy+%4042.920590,+-78.911850+to:Niagara+Blvd%2FNiagara+Pkwy+%4042.948000,+-78.951630+to:Niagara+Blvd%2FNiagara+Pkwy+%4042.982445,+-79.024787+to:Niagara+Pkwy+%4043.023926,+-79.028084+to:Niagara+Pkwy+%4043.075090,+-79.078190&mra=dme&mrcr=6&mrsp=14&sz=13&via=1,2,3,4,6,9,12,14,17,18,19&doflg=ptm&sll=42.923498,-78.988781&sspn=0.091133,0.133381&ie=UTF8&ll=42.942978,-79.106197&spn=0.091105,0.133381&z=13

Just looked at your map, you're going within 4 minutes of getting some of the best pepperettes ever made, and you're taking a bad way through Hamilton and down the QEW. If you want I can send you a much better route that only takes a little longer, or maybe even less time if the traffic is all tied up on the QEW (which quite often happens) and then you'll be within 30 seconds of our place, and enjoy the ride a whole lot more.

So when are you going,,,,,,,,,I'm already hungry and just ate 2 hours ago.

Butt Butler Update on Pillow Top Seats
Marcarl replied to Rick Butler's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Just a word to put in here,,,,,if you are going to do this and use a grinder to shape the seat,,,,do it outside,,,,that foam gets in everywhere and flies all over the place. -
Sounds like a fuel issue to me,,,,,,,,,but then what do I know,,,,,,,mine did the same more or less until I somewhat cleaned the carbs,,,,,,now no issue at all. How I did it was all in a hurry,,,,,well some what, seeing as the airbox had to go back on,,,,,,,pulled the air box,,,opened the diaphrams and then sprayed carb cleaner into every hole and jet I could find,,,,top and sides,,,,,,left it for a coffee,,,came back and did it again and then blew it all out with air,,,,,,put it all back together and it's been perfect since.

Check your air filter to make sure it is clean, and then run seafoam through it. I would make it a good strong mix, say a whole can to half a tank of gas and give it a few days to work it's way through any muck in the carbs.

My wife started riding with me in 2005, I rode my first scoot in 2004 and needless to say she was a little apprehensive. There was some lean when she got on, opposing lean when taking a corner, movement when we were stopped,,,,,,,,,,,,,all the good stuff. This year we rode Northern Ontario, hard packed roads, wash outs, sinking sand, and you name it, and every time she said,, wow, that was different,,,,,,not that she was looking forward to any of this,,,but as it happened she took it in stride, rode it out and enjoyed. I attribute this to the fact that I gave her time to catch up to me, we have an intercom so I can tell her what I'm about to do if it's out of the ordinary,, she has experienced things that were not within our control and came out smiling (called experience), she loves riding, and she sits like a bag of wheat in the back. Keep riding, get a new helmet, look over the proper shoulder, enjoy the scenery, and trust your rider. Oh by the way,,,,,,,the only time the bike will fall over is when it is stopped or almost stopped,,,,,,,not saying it can't fall down when pushed or shoved, but to fall over when your are moving is not about to happen, Tell Vic to slow down for the corners and then to throttle up on the way through, sure makes this leaning thing feel a lot different.

Truer words have never been spoken, enjoy the ride, and if you're in a hurry,,,,,,,,,take the cage, it gets there faster anyways. The other lesson that we learned at Riders' training: the throttle is your friend. Don't know how often in the three days of training we heard that, how many movie clips we saw to emphasis that rule, but as you think about it and put it together, it makes a lot of sense.

I think it will work out just perfect,,,,,she's already getting things started around here, so it's in her mind to do so once again.

Now did you ask Rhonda about this???????or is this your own opinon????
