I have mine set up on a separate switch, I can then turn them off or on at will, I can also use them to do a battery check in some far off parking lot,,, but that is another story. I run mine day and night and the only time I use my low beams is when somebody is approaching me at night. I like to be seen,,,, I don't want to be aggravating, but to be seen is paramount. Often time when I see a MC coming towards me in the daytime with their low beam on, it says nothing to me, it's just another color of the bike, but when I see one coming with the high beam on I have no problem noticing their presence. That's the point I like to make to anybody approaching me. I need to be seen, and noticed and I like to tell them that I've paid for the piece of road that I'm on and so have a right to travel on my way uninterrupted. -
I've seen a ball snap off for no apparent reason and more than once seen them unscrew. Just don't think that it will never happen to me. And that trailer belongs behind the tow vehicle, not in somebody else's face that had nothing to do with it. The trick is to keep the chains as short as possible. Just put them on and then jack knife the trailer to see how short they really can be, you might be surprised how little room is necessary. When the chains are short, there is very little drop and so minimizes the effect on the tow vehicle, I'm not saying there will be no effect, but it should be controllable. If the chains are too long then the tongue will have more room to swing around and cause havoc, or worse, drop to the pavement and upset the apple cart and everything on it or in it. If you really want to tow a trailer, and I do, then it's our responsibility to ensure the safety of those around us,,,, sure we really don't want this thing coming off and then be swinging behind us and causing us to travel in unplanned directions, but then what would we say if somebody else's trailer came off their unit and run straight into our path causing us to do a rough and tumble. Two great minds think alike,,,,, I love my BIG lights and at 35 watts, no power issue,,, and they can be seen in bright daylight. Also no more shimmering, works great! Check out the brackets, original Yamaha I believe, re-chromed,,,, thanks Brad! -

Ya for me it's the truck, $125.00 the other truck $125.00, the bike $20.00 and the car $75.00 = $340.00. Time to go back to work, can't gas the lawnmower.

I know you won't be able to control yourself, so why not send it to me for save keeping and in the meantime Marca can test it out to see if it works the way it's supposed to. Keep it wrapped up though, that way she'll be happier, she likes her gifts in fancy paper.

When I did this in 2004 on Sunday morning they had us riding across car tires and over tettertotters and 2x4s and then over a 3' high ramp. That's when I thought that I went for MC training and and not stunt riding, and thought that the fun was over and I was going home,,,,,,, but I didn't and passed the course and had fun doing it,,,,, maybe should do it again. Have FUN!!!!

Need picture of cable from cb to tuner

This is the end that plugs into the CB unit. I made up my own so that I could run it through the faring and so try to get less static. I powered mine from the radio leads so that I had constant power to keep the preset, so the channel stays where you put it, otherwise it goes back to channel 9 everytime you shut it off. I did away with the splitter thought and now run 2 antennas. Looks better that way too, must be because Yammie decided on 2 for the second gens,, they had to have soemthing good looking! PS I put on my own power connector. -

Oil Leaking - 96 Royal

If you have oil coming from there, it's best to check it out, or sooner or later you'll run out of that slippery stuff and then you'll be on here complaining about some noise and a slow running engine that now refuses to start. Check to make sure that the oil is coming from under the clutch cover, it may be coming from up higher, so it's best to define the exact location. If it is the clutch cover, carefully try to tighten the bolts holding it on, don't over tighten these, and if you have one that is loose, that might fix your problem, if not, put the scoot on the side stand, remove the cover and then deal with a new gasket. If you need help with that,,, post again. -

And here I thought you were going to get a REAL bike,,,, oh well, guess this will have to do. Even so, we'll let you ride with us anyways, and join us at our M&Gs. Nice lookin' scoot, now get it off the trailer and on the road.

Retirement ain't all it's cracked up to be,,,,, everybody thinks that since you have nothing to do, they had better bring you something to keep you busy,,,,,( now if you're married and have a wife,,, you have no life,, not really that just rhymed so I threw it in). Why just the other day I had to work on 3 scooters, and I didn't even get to touch my own. What a life, look forward to it, every day is a new one. Congrats and blessings with the kids,,,,,,,YA!!!

You probably have an older unit using R22, R12 is used for freezers. The upgrade is to 134A but then the system needs to be flushed and a new TX valve is needed. 134A is now much cheaper than R12, so it would pay to get things switched over, and while you're at it, install a new compressor to make everything more efficient. Now you might be able to find a buddy who recycles R22, and maybe he can 'lend' you some for the time being, although they have to keep track of their stuff pretty close. Either way, you should have that leak fixed so it don't cost you anymore. On second thought I may have the R22 and R12 mixed up.

Don't know what kind of material you have to mount them on, but if it's plastic like the first gens, then I would go for four tabs, so that the plastic don't crack up on you. For the speakers, 2 tabs will work fine in metal, but in plastic there won't be much body to hold the music.

Just so you know what you are getting into. Check the brightness of the LEDs in the bright sunlight, almost any light will light up well enough at night, but what happens in bright sunlight is more important, and that's where I found LEDs to fail. Now that's about 2 years ago, so things have changed, but we ride more in bright sunlight than in the dark of night, so when you go to test the brightness for satisfaction, let the sun shine directly on the tail light for your decision.
