  1. No brakes,,,NO GO!!!!!! Brakes????? Still NO GO!!!!
  2. I've been called Santa at times,,, so if you are asking me, there are some corrections to be made in your request letter. Maybe before 'Santa' loads up his sled with all the goodies, you should come clean.
  3. These holes will have to reamin open to allow for expansion and retraction as the forks go in and out,,,,, so you will need to cover these holes to prevent contamination in the forks. Question I have here though is, if you lower the triple tree, you will have to remove the ciriclip that prevents it from sliding down,,, so now how are you going to prevent the triple tree from sliding down the forks?
  4. You're right, NO Bull,,,,,,, all heifers,,and you know what heifers are like! Cute though,,,, seen that more often when I was a kid on the farm, but it is interesting.
  5. Did we meet????? or are you just crying for no reason.
  6. So now we won't talk about Becky!!! Neither will we mention any other forgetful minds that have a habit of popping up here once in a while.
  7. Scary stuff..... you must have Someone watching over you,,, best thank Him maybe. And yes,,, there are many times that our 2 wheels can get us out of a tough spot, where the four wheels would have left us in trouble. Mike seems to have a good head on his shoulders and uses it for more than just keeping his ears apart.
  8. Right in the head?????? Where's that at,,,, at least I wern't wrong some-where's else!!!! DOHHH
  9. Just watch what you say,,, you just might get there some day,,, and then you'll be older than dirt,,,, or have antiques newer than you!!!! Least that's what I've been told!!!
  10. Feeling sorry for yourself again?????,,,, you don't have to go so far as calling yourself senile,,, but if that what Becky says,,,,, it must be the truth.
  11. Wow,,, another birthday,,,,, how many can one man have?? Have a good one bud,,, you deserve it!
  12. You two will be on our prayer list for sure. If you haven't read the rest of the posts,,,,,,, get her checked out thoroughly, thoroughly!!
  13. Looking back on the issues of my 85,,,,, I would change the fuse panel, check out the final drive splines and change the brake and clutch fluids. You may want to change the rear tire, and if you do, the splines are right there, need to be cleaned, greased and checked for wear. The fuse box could be just annoying but the splines can leave you hanging for a week or so. Other than that, you could service the swing arm and change the rear wheel bearings. There is lots you can do as pointed out. Most important is to have a save ride, so check your brakes and tires.
  14. Going out to check our the lots we have to keep clean so the ladies can come to deal and work with their high heels on,,,,, in the middle of the winter,,,,,,, they spend lots of money on this snow clearing business,,,,,,, guess you're not the only one that hates SNOW. COME ON SNOW!!!! I LOVE SNOW$$$$$$
  15. Heights and bridges are not my forte,,,, try the Mac in Mich,,,,, but if you have Avon Venoms or Dunlop Elite III then it's a WHOLE LOT BETTER.
  16. Still got him in our prayers,,,, keep going Hippy,,, there's more life to live.
  17. Somebody has never rode a 1st gen before,,,, that is sooooo plain, even a blind man could see that!!!!!!!!!! There could be a number of reasons for this of course, but the most likely, is that the person in question may be too old to be able to handle such a machine.
  18. He did it right didn't he????? He was going where he was looking I bet!!!!
  19. Yaaa I'm sure sure it's not all that's it's cracked up to be.
  20. Yaaa, you bought a Victory,,,,, what???? you're leaving because WHY???? Naugh-T didn't leave just because she rides one,,,,, we almost lost Brad-T though, but he still rides a Venture,,, so even if you drop a Victory we'll still have you. AHHH man, stick around,,,,,,,, you know ya want to.
  21. Great job Abdul,,,, but the comments need some work. Don't know if I can invite you back to the next one. You know how to take pictures, but you have a problem with words and such. Maybe you could take an on-line course. All that aside, I had a good time watching. Thanks. Carl
  22. It's probably full of BS,,, better leave it there.
  23. My thoughts is that you lost me,,,,, but somebody else may claim to know something.
  24. I knew I should never had sold my '59 Poncho,,, or my '66 VW. There just is no comparison today,,, give me the old cars,, that's one of the reasons I still drive a '99 Saab 9.3. It's very simple with not a lot of extra goodies that can leave a feller stranded in the middle of nowhere. Didn't set me back for a 10 year payment either. Paid for it from my personal account, and Marca didn't even miss the funds, but she sure likes the car. So in another way: New car...... $25,000 and double the insurance. Used car: $4000.00 add $4000.00 for extra repairs just in case, that's $8000.00 Drive it for 8 years, that's a cost of $1000.00 per year. New car has to last at least 25 years to break even with the used SAAB. So far so good,,, now Saab is not looking good,, some Chinese company may take it over,,,, maybe the last one I own,,,,,, don't know yet what to do for the next one.
  25. What interested me was the time difference between the different patients. Out in 4 days and 18 days. Everybody heals at a different rate, but that difference is different. I'm all for it, when I need it, if I should need it.
