    I already did that,, but thanks for the suggestion. The reason you didn't get one, is that you already said you were coming, so I didn't need to bug you again,,,, I didn't get one either.

    That would be real nice,,, but I think I did mention no gifts for the missus, we don't have any room at our house. We might have been able to keep that camel in the garage, but now she is filling it with garden stuff,,, and it isn't going to lodge in our bedroom!!! So Thanks, but no thanks,,, on a live one anyways.

    Hey, I have 12000 family members,,, but they can't all come,,,, OOOOOOOO that would be a party. This is just for VentureRiders or VentureRiders wantabes. The immediate family thing comes later. So to get 60 riders (and passengers) that will be the point. Mostly we don't don't reply very early,,,as seems to be normal in the VR circle, so I'm not tooo concerned yet, but by Monday I will have to decide if it's a go. So, if you all can plan that far ahead,, IT WOULD BE HELPFUL INDEED.

    Here it is November and a beautiful afternoon, so I took the time off and went for a ride. Even had to fill up the tank again,,,,, maybe some more yet before SNOW.

    I always get excellent fuel mileage,,,, that's one thing I like about the Venture,,, so far it has always got me to the next service station before I ran out. Can't beat that!!!

    I found that SS metrics were hard to find but not the SS10\24. So I experimented with the 10\24s. The threads seems to go in perfectly and the screw holds tight. Going this route, both sides would have the same screw, and they would be stainless so less chance to strip out the phillips head. Open for discussion. Carl

    If you look at the picture, you can see 2 plates on the end of the shaft with pins between them. This is part of the shift mechanism. The ones on the right tend to have the bent tabs, that hold them in place, bend out and so release the pins, which makes it impossible to shift. The one on the left doesn't have the tabs. The pins are set it the casing and can't come out,, problem solved.

    Ok, I think I got it done,,,, so far. Engine cover plates, both sides, 18ga mirror stainless, laser cut. Bracket for left side, 12ga plain stainless. You can't see it so no need for mirror. 4 x stainless 10\24 screws. You'll need to tap out the right side to #24 thread. 2 x1\2" nylon spacers to adjust the right side out so that it fits flat Shipping to US or Canada If I get one order the cost will be $150.00 for the package. If I get 10 orders the cost drops to $105.00

    Kick stand down or up???? With the kick stand down it won't start!

    Next time if you have only one bar, set the bike up straight and you'll get gas. We pushed mine around the back yard a couple of times with a dead battery and a low tank. One bar is enough if it's up straight, but no works on side stand.

    Alright we set the menu: Soup: tomato macaroni or cream of broccoli or garden salad Roast Beef Roasted 1\2 chicken Ribs Smashed real Yukon gold spuds Veggies,,,, not peas and carrotts Desert: Apple crisp with that cold white stuff Coffee, tea etc. Cost: $14.00 ea If you can't eat all that, you can order salads. He's want's to look after us. All served country style. We have until this weekend to make up our minds if we can do this,,,, numbers count and 60 would be awesome.     That's been done before. Some years ago I needed to have some antibiotics. So the doctor asked me what I usually used and I told him ampicillian. (something like that). Anyways, he wrote out the perscription and told me it was a new drug and might work better. He also said that he had just recently been informed about it from a salesman, and then during the following conversation he said he was hoping to go out golfing with this salesman. I went to the pharmacy to fill the prescription and it came to $35.00. I nearly jumped over the counter, but left the prescription there and went back to see my doctor who then apologized and wrote out another for ampicillian,, $8.00, thank-you very much.

    Carl hasn't got it all figured out yet,,, but we mean to get you to Niagara Falls, get a good view, enjoy the ride and have a good time. Just how that will happen is still in the planning stages,,, but it will happen. Plan is for Monday,,,, so far.
