Linda was on her way home from church, an suv was stopped in front of her to let another car turn. She made a complete stop - for about 2 seconds, then a 4wd pickup behind her didn't get stopped, didn't even find his brakes til impact. It appears that the damage to her vehicle is just exterior stuff, bumper, grill, core support and a few other things that I couldn't see because the hood was inoperable. The good news is that nobody was hurt, I reserve that statement because we're both 70 and tomorrow will tell the tale. There will no doubt be some whiplash effect show up tomorrow, just hoping it will be minimal and not long lasting. And how is your Sunday turning out ?

Good Morning All, Has anyone bought or tried the Potato Chip Seat offered by Pacific Coast Star for their Tour Deluxe? They charge $160.00 for the seat plus a core deposit on your original seat. They build the seats from the original seat chassis. Their claim is: that their mod will be much more comfortable than stock, and that it will lower you by three inches. The way it works is, you order the seat, receive it, and then you have to weeks to try it. If you like it, you send them your original seat as a core deposit and they credit your card for the core deposit. If you don't like the new seat, you send it back to them. Please see the following links: http://www.pacificcoaststar.com/pcs/royal_star_seats.htm http://www.pacificcoaststar.com/pcs/faq.htm I would appreciate any input. Regards, Tony

Toward the end of the season my 86 wasn't too appreciative of wet weather....it would kick up quite a fuss for about 10 -20 kms (as I believe the engine would warm up and dry the moisture of the plug wires)...then all would be just fine. I actually sprayed the wires which was helpful but didn't quite elieviate the problem. A collegue gave me a set of wires that he wasn't using to replace mine. Question lead in......if you look at a cross section of the current wire it is braided core with a black sheath surrounding it......the wires he gave me are braided core, white inner sheath then the outer black sheath........Is there a big difference???...can I use the wires he gave me?? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

My question for the know it all'rs, is why do our scoots use copper core high tension wires instead of carbon core. I have a lot of static in my radio coming from the ignition, it's still there when I unplug the stator. I put in new wires last year and new plugs. It's new plugs every spring for me. This year I tried non resistor type plugs but that was not a direction to go, runs great but the noise is deafening. So back to resistor plugs, but how about carbon core wires. Went through all the grounding issues, shielded cables etc.etc. can't seem to solve this problem.
