  1. Finally a decent half time in a number of years. Larry
  2. Michigan tags are renewed on date of birth 1901 Dodge Ram pickup -- $93 2011 Kia Sorento -- $146 2005 RSV -- $38 personalized tag $23 for standard/ plain or Colored tag $30 total -- $277 As Carl noted trailers are a one time / lifetime purchase based on weight. My 150 lb empty mc trailer as is my 600 lbs landscaper trailer cost $75. Actualy any trailer up to 2400 lbs would still be $75. At 2500 lbs costs jump to $200
  3. That's pretty much what my area had today. Mostly sunny, dry roads and temps up to 42*F. Seems like winter hasn't even started here yet. No complaints coming from me thou. Larry
  4. Seems pretty high to me as well. Granted all the work done does take time to get it done right. An itemized bill would deffineately determine if this paticular bill is in line with normal shop charges or a complete rip off. Sure am glad I have the ability to do my own work thou. Larry
  5. Maybe they're wall queens? Larry
  6. Ya hard to get a read of the radar with all that Tupperware on them. Larry
  7. So what part of it they objected to? Larry
  8. Not that old yet but I'm with ya on this. Larry
  9. Finished up the valve adjustments on my bike and Ragtop69gs's bike yesterday. While both engines had at least one intake out of specs the rest were OK. We did swap some shims around to get them in the middle thou. All together about 6 shims were either moved or replaced on each bike. Two outright shim replacements for mine & one on Jay's bike that Skydoc's kit didn't have in it. To get those I went to a local dealer who swapped me for the two 270's and two 265's we needed giving him the 275 & 276's that were abundant in the kit. Larry BTW: the actual OD measurement of the shims is .985. On another note micing the shims I found them to be really consistant as to marked thicknesses.
  10. Welcome back Thom. Larry
  11. This problem is one reason I offer a crash bar brace for these bikes. Adding foot rests to the bars amplifies the flexing even more so. But I do agree with the others here that if the lower is cracked and still under the 5 year period since purchased then its should be covered under warranty. Larry
  12. Excellent news Carl. Wishing her continued recovery & good health in the years to come. Larry
  13. Thanks everyone. Forgotten about some of them mentioned and have delt with a couple in the past, such as Pioneer, Zanottimotor, Parts shark Time to check em out. Larry
  14. Ok I've lost my list of favorite online vendors when my pc had to be replaced a couple months back. Who do ya all recommend. I'm looking for OEM parts. Checked the local dealer with poor results on pricing besides the fact I still have to order all my items. That just sucks so may as well order all I need online anyhow. Had already checked Yamahapartshouse.com. Thanks in advance, Larry
  15. I have a set of those horns as well as the Stebel air horn. These Magnums TM80's are as loud as the Stebel air horn. I mounted one under the left lower cowling where the other stock one mounted and the other is under the front fairing. Because they have a chrome finish they'll look good mounted oustide on the bike as well. Larry
  16. That's certainly good news Squid. Glad to hear he's doing well enough now to be released to home care. Larry
  17. While waiting for the shim kit to arrive I checked some valves today. Found several a bit on the tight side so doing this valve check is deffineately needed. My bike has just under 49k on the clock. Larry
  18. Started my winter maintance on the bike yesterday as well. Striped off most of the body parts & drained the coolant. Will be pulling the carbs and checking float levels today. Later will do the valve adjustment check. Too cold to work outside but the garage has a nice warm temp of 65* or higher if I want. Gotta love a heated garage. Larry
  19. Speaking of the V-Rod Harley really is missing the boat by not offering that motor in a touring sized bike. Probably don't want to compete with the RG's & Ultra's. Larry
  20. Well what do ya know, another Jan birthday boy here. :Happy Birthday: Enjoy your day Gary Larry
  21. Nice Eddie. That Road Glide is my favorite H-D as well. Let the customizing begin. Larry
  22. Sounds like a very good plan to me. Keep us in the loop here as the project moves along. We'll either offer insight as needed or moral support as you progress on this great father/son experince. Larry
  23. After researching shipping costs my Canadian customers will now pay the same as stateside customers since shipping cost has very little differences due to the packages size and weight. So to make life easier on me and folks north of the border everyone pays the same price for the hitch. I actually do the same on crash bar braces, horn brackets, and wiring harnesses. Thanks, Larry
  24. Ah another winter b-day dude. LOL Enjoy your day Kreg Larry
  25. I'm sure you won't be sorry for this decision. Got any questions just ask and the triker folks here will be happy to lend what they know. Looking forward to seeing you on it sometime next riding season. Larry
