  1. WOW another B-day hey. Well you better enjoy it before you get too old. Have a great day. Larry
  2. Campgrounds used to (probably still do) sell memberships in the various campgrounds scattered around the country. Basiclly they were time shares as well. Got offers all the time when we had our travel trailers. Nope , no way in He!!. Larry
  3. wow haven't had that happen to me before. Since your bike is raked and have a good tire and pressure I'm at a loss as to why this happened. But there is one thing I think of now and that would be that the steering head bearings are set to light. When I installed my EZ Steer raked trees their recommendation was 25 ft lbs of torque on the bearings. Which is a lot more than what Ma Yamaha calls for. I do know that over time mine loosen up a bit and I can tell that the front end will want to wander a bit at low speeds so re tightening the steering head bearings takes that away again. It's the only thing I can think of to cause you this situation. Larry
  4. Good to know he's somewhat OK. Miss his chatter here. Larry
  5. Wife and I have had a pair of Stearns from Wal-Mart for years that had done a great job of keeping us dry, even in the heaviest of downpours. They are the two piece breathable nylon type. I don't recall what they cost but know at the time it was very reasonable compared to others. Larry
  6. Mines been off for years too. I just like the looks better sans the covers and due to poor hearing I don't hear anything from them anyhow. LOL Larry
  7. Happy Easter from our family to all of my Venture Rider family. May we all be very thankful this year for a safe & fun filled riding season. Larry
  8. Tough call to make but there's always another bike to be had. Good luck with jobs this summer till you get back to working full time again. Larry
  9. Had that happen last year on my debit card. At least the wifes card still was good . But it sucked to have to wait the couple /three weeks waiting for the new card to arrive. Good news was like you the bank caught it so that ended as well as it could have. Can't ever be too safe with these cards nowadays. Larry
  10. Must be another April Fools joke. Larry
  11. A trike or sidecar rig YES, two wheelers NO as the rest here confirm. While the tandem axle would take weight off the hitch the tracking would be a killer on two wheels. And the extra weight of the 2nd axle offsets any carrying capacity you might gain. Still a neat looking outfit thou. Larry
  12. Have a great trip. Take your time and be safe. Especially if a new trike rider you'll want to give yourself some time to learn the finer handling characteristics of riding the trike. Looking forward to your trip reports. Larry
  13. Me neither.

  21. Regardless of whether Ponch comes back here or not I do wish him a full recovery and the best life can offer him and Kathy. Ponch on getting well. As to problems some folks may have had at any one of the VR gatherings, wherever they may be, I can't say much of anything to change outcomes other than say stuff happens sometimes and feelings can get hurt. I do think that the majority of members will go out of their way to see that everyone has an enjoyable time and be as helpfull as possible if something comes up. Larry
  22. I like it too. Wonder what price range it'd be in? Larry
  23. I'd 2nd the two previous opinions. If you really want to tow a small trailer with the bike for those odd jobs I'd say get a much smaller trailer. Larry
  24. I'd do them for you but I'm south of the border as well as way to far away. finding someone Larry
  25. What model & year of bike is he doing? Larry
