  2. Do you have the extention from the faring or are you connecting at the cassette door? I had some noise and I placed a little of the electric greese at the connections and it quit. I have never heard noise when connected at the cassette door
  3. I think my problem is the iTunes format. It is MA4 when maybe the Zumo will only read MP3 ?? I just copied to the SD card but the Zumo does not reconize the SD card ??
  4. OK, I may be on my way (no pun intended) Do I understand you correctly as I could rename the MP3 folder on the Zumo to whatever I want? I may have fouund the extra drive as you stated and I am copying some music as I type. I guess it was never reading the extra SD card I had it it before?? If I placed pictures in the SD card I guess it would read them as well? Sorry to sound so stupid but this thing has me in circles. Maybe best if I walk away and come back to it. I did try to read directions but it seems I hit a roadblock with this task. I do appreciate your information
  5. When you go to the source and it plays music, I was thinking it was from the SD card It is not as I removed it and the music is still there

  7. Not true at all. + this is what you get by watching Fox News!
  8. Happy to hear Tom is OK. Quite a ride it sounds like to me like quite a ride. He did good job of riding for a rear tire to blow and with the the trailer.
  9. http://www.cattlemansranch.com/map.htm Exit # 49 off IH 10 them 5 miles into the desert (paved road) to Indian Cliffs Ranch It is a little pricey but the steak is damn good. If you go during the evening (note: hours of operation from link above) lot's of neat things to look at or just set on the porch and enjoy the sunset. There are a couple of good places in Laredo (good fish mexican style)Marisco's El Pescador - http://www.mariscoselpescador.com 207 Shiloh Dr, Laredo - (956) 795-8207 When in McAllen (mexican food) http://www.casadeltacorgv.com/Casa Del Taco www.casadeltacorgv.com
  10. Goose, how does your brother like the sound of the Bubs? It looks like he got them pretty dirty by the pictures. I am sure by the time he makes the circle, he will be able to hear them in his sleep. Shoot, if you ride behind him long enough, you may as well. When you make El Paso, I would strongly suggest driving 30 miles Southeast on Interstate 10 to the Fabens exit, then drive 5 more miles through the desert to Cattleman’s Steakhouse at Indian Cliffs Ranch. It is well worth the drive I will keep track of your travels and enjoy the updates. Be safe Jim
  11. I took mine off the tank and trunk. Prefer the cleaner look as opposed to all the advertizing. Note: if anyone wants the emblems from the tank, let me know as these are very expensive to purchase from Yamaha.
  12. Compairing the venture to an 1800 wing is apples to oranges. Or yamaha to honda? The Venture is a great bike and will do whatever needed when asked. I have rode my Venture in all kinds of weather, wind, mountains, and never had any issues with the power. I do ride with others that ride both 1500 & 1800 GW's and my Venture has no problem keeping up with them. + it looks like a motorcycle as well
  13. If the study done in Australia found the accident rate difference between running with low beams and high beams only 2.5%, I will continue to run high beams in the daytime. Maybe I will be lucky enough to be seen (one of the 2.5%)
  14. Since you stated a noticable difference in comfort between the stock and pillow top which one is the more comfortable for the long haul? I have read a hard seat allows for you to move around a little more thus a little more comfortable than a soft seat. I have the Rick Butler mod on my pillowtop and he made a big difference in the way it sits for a long day. As always, seats depend on the persons opinion.
  15. I tried the Bub Slip-ons but they were a little too loud. If anyone is interested, I would sell them as they are just packed up and living in a box.
  16. I have a set of Bub Slip-ons if anyone is interested. They are quiet a bit louder than stock.
  17. The triangle of light should assist with being seen on your bike. Look at the improvement on the train locomotives. They now run with the three lights to assist persons at the crossing to see the train.
  18. Sorry but I totally disagree. I have ridden for many years and many miles all over the country not only on a bike but in pickups, autos, and even big trucks. Most all of my working carreer has been in transportation of some type. As a spare job, I even taught Defensive Driving courses for 10+ years Highbeam headlights and auxiliary driving lights do get you seen. Just ride with someone and get quite a bit ahead of them, then have them turn on their high beam. Riding in traffic during the day with a hign beam head light & two "running" lights (or amber if you prefer) and you have a far greater chance to be noticed. Case closed. I do agree for better visibility to other vehicles in inclement weather (rain, snow, fog) other passive safety measures to increase your visibility, is a no brainer. Always wear a high-visibility retroreflective surfaces on your gear. I own a RSMV but I wear a white helmet to assist with improved visibility. (most visible color is yellow but come on.......) can't look like a bumble bee.
  19. Hang in there Don. All this talking about not smoking has inspired me to consider stopping again. I have smoked for a very long time and with everything the way it is and you (along with others) are working toward kicking this thing..............don't give up.
  20. I agree with Don, Roush Roush Accessories need to earn your business, not have you do their work for them. If I did not already have them, I would purchase them from Ron Ayers Motorsports for the $136.14 my
  21. I rode several long trips with the stock shield (2 years) Changed to the 13" and I love it! I know the bike even handles better as it goes into a strong sidewind and/or headwind think about it I also wear a 3/4 with a face sheld and the wind is over my head for the most part. 2nd person will receive quite a bit more air flow
  22. A couple of pictures for ya They are worth the $
  23. Damn, it sounds like I will not be able to keep up with all of you. I don't think I have ever even come close to the rev limiter mark. How many RPMs it it turning if you do hit it? Save me a spot at the table as I will show up a little later.
  24. I like Big Shell, put TD bars on my Venture. Best thing I have done to date. Much more comfortable and I like the way it handles
  25. Does anyone have one of these? Would be interested in knowing what you think if you do.
