  1. Keep up the progress Ponch. Been pulling for you & family.
  2. Yes, thank you Brad for the updates. Can not express my concern for David but I know he is a fighter and will come out of this. As we all are worried, please keep us updated when you know something.
  3. Just ride up to North Texas around the Childress area. It was 117 there yesterday! :225::225::225::225:
  4. Welcome to this side. You will enjoy your wing but I agree, the Venture would handle the long haul like no other I have had. Great ride.
  5. I had new tires & wheels, all ball bearings progressive springs & Centrmatics installed at the same time. The ride in greatly improved over a stock bike. I will say the wheels have no weights on them and the centramatics are doing their job as far as wheel balance. I do hope this will improve the life of my tires and time will tell. I will say I have spoken to several folks (some ride with the Dynabeads and some with centramatics). No one has told me they did not like whatever they were running. As you see my choice was to install the more expensive option but I do believe they will pay for themselves with the additional mileage I hope to obtain. Again....time will tell.
  6. Took a 100+ ride for breakfast this AM. Waiting on my son to call (hopefully today) to tell me he is back in the states returning home after his Iraq deployment.
  7. I resemble those remarks about Texas
  8. Our thoughts are with their families. Very sad indeed.
  9. Just wanted to say, I took my seat to Rick Butler yesterday and he performed his mods to my new seat. Very satisfied with the quality of Rick's work. He has made this improvement to both my Venture pillow top & this GW seat. Almost ready for Cody....
  10. He will relieve the tailbone issue. I stopped by Rick's house yesterday and he performed his magic on my seat. Sets almost as good as my Venture seat after he did the same thing. I would highly recommend him as he does a very good job at a very good price
  11. Jim you do need to see (& set) on Tom's bike. The way he has his pegs are damn near as close to comfortable as my Venture and it was very comfortable. The only issue I have with Tom's bike is that I live in Williamson County TX and they would arrest me for not having a Parade Permit if I rode this around here with that much Bling!
  12. 41 or so with varied riding. I am looking forward to taking a trip and I am betting I will see 44 or better.
  13. I really need to sit your yours to see how I am going to go. The one "issue" I am having is the seating position. Getting used to is but it is a change. Did you hear about the OFO sighting in Blanco. Someone stated they were seeing all these lights but then realized it was just Tom & his Bling Bling Wing!
  14. The intercom on my 07 RSMV worked as well as the one on my wing.
  15. Lights look very nice. On those Hoosier night up there it will be seen for sure. What brand of hitch do you have on your bike? That may one of my next items.
  16. Pearl White is my color. I bought it because it is the prettiest and I believe it may also be the fastest!!! I hope the storms up KY way were not too severe where you are located
  17. Man that thing would ride nice & smooth. Looks like room for my wife & a place for the dog....WE CAN ALL GO!
  18. Well I watched my Venture disappear toward Rockwall yesterday. Enjoyed many miles (42k+) on her and I am sure her new owner will also have lot's good trips. Still plan on keeping up on this site as it has too many good folks here and I have made many friends here. If you see a Pearl White wing, it just could be me so keep a look out. I bought the Pearl White because it is the prettiest & may also be the fastest! Jim aka... Roadhand
  19. Looks like I have made it 26. Found a low mileage 08 Pearl White and just had to have it. Plus the Pearl White is the prettiest color and possibly the fastest but that may be another thread. I will miss my Venture though as she is a great bike and was just damn comfortable on a trip. We saw quite a few sights together and will be missed.
  20. Pretty amazing! I have a hard enough time just keeping mine between the stripes.

My son is also in Iraq serving in the Air Force. I think it is deplorable that they have to spend their own $ on items when we have such a big budget for our military. I just can not understand. My wife has taught school for years and we have purchased items every year for her to do her job. At one year I bought her a chair as all the school provided was a "stackable" chair. The top 3% is running things and don't care one small bit about the young people except when it comes time to get their vote.
  22. Steve, how did you attach this? I did not see where you drilled any holes in the windshield.
  23. My little dog is a Shihtzu. In this picture she was ready to take a ride around the neighborhood. I will only take her slowly and I don't get out of 2nd gear as she might blow off BUT she does like to ride. Anywhere I go, she thinks she should also. You will enjoy your new dog.
