Its always sad when we loose our true friends....our critters become family and are missed greatly. Sorry for your loss.

I have them and actually just came back from my first ride with them on! It was a much better feeling for me than stock. Ok to install them ( this was a couple weeks ago)....I had my son help....I thought I was screwed with the cable thing cause there was no way I could get those bars back far enough to put the risers on! Enter...one brain wave...for me anyway....why not just get son to hold bar and slide the things in from the side!.....Well....that was easy!....I also discovered today that if I crank the handlebar hard to the right the throttle sticks or binds a little....all other moves are free of binding.

Still on my Christmas list of things I must have one day...this and the Wagner grill. I know I know....its a good value...but I have spent alot lately on bike stuff so I must wait. Hope they are still around when the time is right.....hmmmm maybe spring.

I knew I should have shared what I was smokin instead of hogging it all to myself! I remember now..... Gees it didnt seem bad enough for them to write that off! And I am glad you are getting better if not better looking!

First of all...Lou...are you okay? Is this the first we hear of this crash or have I been in lala land again? Now, the insurance company, at least here, will always undercut or low ball you with the first offer. That is to be expected as they want to save money. I would counter offer after getting the costs of everything and a same year bike. Again, this is a lower offer, but, the US folks may think its fair because their bikes are much cheaper than ours are. Then again it is enough to buy some good used ones from this site!

Dont think this would be you...but....I almost broke that bolt off once trying to get it off....by turning the wrong way...seems I got a little turned around whilst lying on the ground and couldnt figure out which was righty tighty and lefty loosy! Sure worked great once that little item was mentioned to me! -
Ha.....here I am at 608 am and just got back from my last night in the slammer. Off for 4 days now! Have a safe shift Dan!

Met all three Sonny. Great folks! Make sure you take a sample of the shampoo and little soap from the hotel for Ron (kantornado) if you meet em. Tell him Rick suggested it! He may explain the joke.

Lou and Vicki...we are sure glad you guys are ok. Un expected git offs are not good usually. You never did answer the question about if the stitches make ya purtier or worser!

I know this is too late, but for later consideration regarding gear you should have a peak at www.newenough.com They sell new old stock at bargain basement prices. Many of us have bought stuff from them. As long as you dont feel the need to have the most current up to date model then this is the place. They do sell the new stuff as well if you want. The best deals I have gotten have been found in the bargain basement and clearout sections of their site. They are great to deal with as well. You cant go wrong giving their site a look at.

I cannot speak for other motorcycle clubs, but I sure can for this one. I have opened our home to complete strangers whom I've know only through this site. They have accepted the bed, camper cot, sleeping bag or whatever I could give em to stay dry, warm or sheltered. Why do I do this? Because the very same thing happened for us. We have visited area's and wanted only to pop in for a coffee and ended up staying for nights. Total "strangers" who gave themselves totally Were else can someone ask if anyone could pull a small trailer to another spot in the country for them. A whole lot get involved including someone who drove a few hundred miles just to pick it up and then drive a few hundred more miles further away from their home..just because they wanted to help out. Were can else can you send your buddy a few thousand dollars to hold on to because you're buying a bike and know he will be there with the cash so you can complete the deal! Or send some more cash and he buys the camper for you, registers it in his name, rewires the dang thing, fixes this and that so I wouldnt have to worry about it later. Were else can one be told that "the key is under the mat, come in and make yourself at home". This from folks you haven't met yet except on the computer screen. Were else can one travel pretty much anywere now...and know that there is someone near you that will help you in any way possible should you need it and you will have trouble giving them at least the gas money they spent to do that? It is a refreshing restoration in my faith in fellow human beings. My biggest regreat with all that I've been through here, is that I cant do enough to return the goods deeds. Holy cow! That was long winded...wasn't it!!

Well...I've driven through Chicago twice...no three times..once was in a car. And you know what its like.....so ya gotta know then....that I had the worst experiance crossing that bridge to even think of going there again! I would do it again though....got to get over the fear! I was almost sick with it the night before we did the second crossing coming home. But...gees...it was for nothing....riding the grate brought back memories of the Lions Gate bridge in Vancouver. The second time was fun....I even looked down and through the grate. BTW Will.....great video...sorry to steal your thread with my own worries!
