  1. I just shipped them out to Condor this evening.
  2. BTW: I just posted an ad in the classifieds for my Bubs slipons.
  3. Yes, I'm still around. Just been keeping quiet and digging out.
  4. No kidding! I have two different parts orders showing up this week and I plan to buy some more stuff soon. The only difference between buying stuff for the RSV and the Jeep is cost and color. I've gone from chrome to armor plate. :mo money:
  5. I know I've been absent from here for a while. I've been through a lot in the past several years. Friday I sold my RSV to a nice couple in Iowa. I hope they enjoy it. I suspect that eventually I'll get another RSV after my financial situation improves some more. But until them I'm only riding in my Jeep (see it here -> http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f96/bug-out-build-1568531/). If anyone is interested I'm selling the trailer I bought from Blackowl. PM me for pics and details. Later, Wilgeno (Juggler)
  6. Contact me. I'm interested in selling my '99 RSV. Look at it in my photo gallery.
  7. You could use JB weld, sand it and paint it. A plug like you mentioned would work. OR install your own antenna - there has to be a toy you need for the truck? right?
  8. I grew up with one of those and it in storage. My Dad worked for Shop Smith for a short while. Lay a tool across the bowl as its spinning. If the tool bounces it's either out of round or you do have a wobble. You can do the same on the inside with the rounded part of a caliper. Now if this power head has a wobble you can ship it to Shop Smith and they will refurbish it for a fee. These are great machines!
  9. I'd ride it across country in a heart beat. Just gotta get tires at some point either before or along the way.
  10. I need the , I'll get new bike once this is done.
  11. Life changes and it's sucky at times. I need to sell the ride to pay for the divorce. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4042 I've been holding off on selling for a few months hoping I could get through this and still keep my RSV. That just isn't going to be feasible. I'll buy another one once this storm passes.
  12. I used to get 39-40 when I first got the bike. It's not due to riding hard. I've spent the past couple years trying to figure this out. It's not the carbs, or fuel or air flow. There are other threads on this forum that document the #3 coil going bad but testing good when cold.
  13. I was getting about 32-35 mpg. I'm hoping this is the fix.
  14. I decided to put off working on the beast for a few days. Today I went back at trying to get the new coil in in place. It pretty much was in place but I could not get an Allen key onto the bolt heads to tighten them down. Just not enough room. A while back I made a shortened Allen wrench and bought this set so I could grind one to the proper length. So I decided to customize another one from the set. I took about 3/8 off the short side and a little over 1/2 and inch off the long end. That made the Allen key just small enough to get onto the bolt heads and tighten them down. After hooking up all the wires and putting a few things like the header pipes and gas tank back on I gave her a quick test. Wow!!! Did she roar to life. I dont have the mufflers on yet because I am still going to do tires. So far so good. After tires and my general inspection to tighten anything that should't be loose and vice versa I'll be back on the road. Hopefully in time for my trip to. Omaha this month. Laterz
  15. I've been sending the ol'Owl updates on who's signed up. My bike is still in parts. I have several things to do with it and I am taking my time. I plan to have it ready to ride again by mid September. I hope al'y'alls enjoy the pig. Oh, and I did add the count of people signed up to the front page of the website. 24 as of this post, you're gonna need a bigger pot.
