Personally I think the new Kawasaki 250 dual sport is about the best one out there. Better on and off road suspension and better engine than the Suzuki or Yamaha 200s, and less racy of an engine than the new Yamaha 250.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but the add says the bike is in Cumberland MD,, but that doesn't look like a Maryland bike plate to me.. Don't Maryland bike plates have 6 characters?

By EPA rules, any motorcycle produced after Jan 1 2010 must meet the new standards. What the model year is called is not a consideration. So any RSV assembled prior to Jan 1 2010 can be shipped and sold in the US as a 2010 model. The EPA laws passed in 2005 were in several tiers automatically implemented in 06, and 2010.. 06 >279cc engines were limited to 1.4 g/km HC, 12 g/km CO and 5.0 g/km HC+NOx 10 >279cc engines were limited to 0.8 g/km HC, 12 g/km CO and 2.5 g/km HC+NOx This brings motorcycles up to about the 1996 standard for autos. Carburated motorcycles have had to have their jetting lean, and their air screws extra lean and sealed to meet the 06 standard. I guess you can never say never but I can't think of any cars since 1996 that have had carburators. As far as the production run stopping, I saw an excerpt from one of the motorcycle industry subscription mags that said that, and I thought I saw it here is why I assumed others had heard it too.

I've never read the C.S Forester stuff, but I though the BBC Hornblower series with Ioan Gruffudd as Hornblower was great.

I have heard that BMW is discontinuing the current LT model, and it may be a few years for the next version with the new 6 cylinder engine. Honda has stopped production of the Goldwing in the US, and there are rumors that when touring bike production resumes back in Japan it may not be with the Goldwing. And of course we all know the current 2010 Yamaha RSV stopped production back in 09 so as to avoid having to meet the new 2010 EPA regs, and there seems to be no new model full dress Yamaha in the works yet. So for 2011 people looking at buying a new full dress touring bike will be choosing from HD, Victory or Kawasaki, or looking for unsold inventory from the other three. If anyone has any concrete info on what is or isn't happening, I'd love to hear it.

My son went through several Motorola Razrs, and he really wasn't that rough on them.. Every time he had to send it back for warranty repair he would put his sim card in his old Nokia 6110 to get by with which still worked fair after he had it in his pocket when he was thrown into a pool at a party. Now he has a Nokia 5310, he wants a fancier one but it works fine, and has an MP3 player in it. But he is old enough now if he wants a better phone he need to buy it himself.

Science fiction/fantasy Chronicles of Scar, Legacy of the Ancients, and Lanterns of God. By Ron Sarti. This trilogy reads like fantasy but is really a post apocalyptic science fiction. Very good read, especially the last one. Fantasy Lord of Light, and Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny. Science fiction Enders Game and Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card A Fire Upon the Deep, and A Deepness in the Sky by Vernor Vinge Any of the 13 Robot or Foundation books by Isaac Asimov Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command by Timothy Zahn (episodes 7, 8 and 9 of Star Wars (Lucas originally planned 9 movies, but contracted Zahn to do the last 3 in novel form. Non fiction Who's Your Caddy by Rick Reilly Humor/ Science Fiction How Much for Just the Planet by John M. Ford (this is a Star Trek novel, but is often disliked by the Trekkies as it completely slapstick) Classical Hamlet

It would have been a little less dramatic if he would have just stayed on the other side with the van!! Whew!!

bassets have quite a few characteristics that are not common to all dogs or even all hounds. Because of their length if they get over weight they are prone to back problems. Because of their bulk to height they should be considered short Big Dogs and be feed large breed food. Also because of a combination of lenght, bulk and short legs they should not be allowed to climb up and down stairs until they are full grown, otherwise they can develop leg, joint and back problems. Also because of their length, they may look short, but believe me, standing on their hind legs they can reach well onto a kitchen counter. Also unlike many breeds they are more motivated by getting attention than by trying to please their masters. If you ever laugh when they are doing something you don't want them to repeat, it is already too late. They love laughter and will repeat it. If you feed them when they whine, they will whine during every meal from then on. And they are very smart about it. My wife and I never fed our basset if she whined, so when we ate she would watch, act cute, roll over but she would never whine at us, but my son fed her once when she whined, so when ever he was eating she would sit by him and whine until he gave in. also remember to clean inside the ears weekly. basset forum http://www.bassetsunlimited.com/forum/ dog food review page http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/

If he really wants a sport-touring to standard style bike, think the best smaller ones out there are the 650 V-strom, the 650 Bandit, and the 750 ZR7S All three have Givi mounts available, before my RSV I rode a ZR7S with a three bag Givi setup and a custom Mayer seat and a taller touring wind screen. I had no problems going 400 miles a day and certainly could have gone longer if I were younger. they stopped bringing them to the US in 03. Wow, I found this pic on the web, I had the more streamlined Givi bags, E45 side and V46 trunk, but this bike is the same color and has the same seat and windscreen I had.

I've got this one on my 07. (the one with amber side LEDs) http://www.customdynamics.com/quad_license.htm Wiring is not real hard, but not easy either.

It is Jerry W,, I just got a spacer from him in November when I put my lights on.. The spacer is not threaded metric so you need to go to the hardware and buy 3/8" bolts with 16 threads per inch to mount to it.

My wife is from Louisville, in her opinion the two things that are a must see are Mammoth Caves, www.nps.gov/maca/planyourvisit/cavetours.htm and A Mike Linings fish sandwich. www.mikelinnigsrestaurant.com Don't let the price scare you away, it is really a fish dinner with a couple pieces of bread thrown in.

When I was a kid TV was so bad you couldn't see the puck at all. I use to watch with my dad and could never tell what was going on. Wasn't until I was in the Navy and got tickets to an LA Kings game and saw it in person did I really get what was going on. And even understanding it better, up until the last few years when they added the puck tracer, it was still hard to follow on TV.

Actually V-stars come in a variety of sizes, all V-twins. 250 air cooled, 650 air cooled, 950 air cooled, 1100 air cooled, and 1300 liquid cooled.

Hot Tuscan bean salad. 1 can garbanzo beans 1 can kidney beans (your choice white or red) 1 medium sweet onion 4 cloves garlic (more or less to taste) 1 large stalk celery 2 medium tomatoes 1 small zucchini 1 small yellow squash 6 meduim fresh mushrooms, or 1 small can 3 pickled artichoke hearts Mrs Dashes extra spicy seasoning. some basic spices,, (parsley, basil, oregano, thyme, pepper) McCormick salt free all purpose seasoning works. Dice onion and stir fry or saute on medium to medium high heat, in olive oil until they start to caramelize. stir occasionally through entire process dice and add garlic. dice and add celery. season with Mrs Dashes slice and add mushrooms lower temp to medium add spices to taste slice and add squash and zucchini drain and add beans slice and add tomatoes and artichoke hearts. Simmer for about 10 minutes on low heat. this is low starch, and the only salt is whatever is in the canned beans and cheese. can be served hot or cold, I prefer hot. if you are not worried about salt, sprinkle a little Parmesan or Romano cheese and serve.

I've lived in Chicago, San Diego, LA/Long Beach, Detroit and now Jacksonville. I would trust downtown Detroit before any of the other down towns, but that doesn't mean it is safe. Joe Louis area should be OK during the day or anytime a big event is going on.

Pangea or paganica was played by Roman troops with curved sticks and a leather covered ball or rocks, basically field hockey, across most of Europe in the 1st century BC. It is generally considered to be the basis also of both kolf and goff, which are generally considered to be the forerunners to golf.

???? And where did anyone call any group of people Neanderthals? If you are serious, you totally need to re-read the post. If you are joking, it is really not apparent.

Testing began in 1996, and the ACS program began producing test data in 2000, 2001, and 2002. The full program is expected to be implemented by 2010. The Department of Commerce has stated that those who receive a survey form are required to provide answers to a long list of questions about themselves and their families, including their profession, how much money they earn, their source of health insurance, their preferred mode of transportation to and from work, and the amount of money they pay for housing and utilities. Those who decline to answer these questions may receive follow-up phone calls and/or visits to their homes from Census Bureau personnel, and are threatened with prosecution and fines up to $5000. No person has ever been charged with a crime for refusing to answer the ACS survey, which several U.S. Representatives have challenged as unauthorized by the census act and violative of the Right to Financial Privacy Act. The Department of Commerce states that it is "not an enforcement agency."

I frequent several other motorcycle forums, and all have seem to have gun threads, even the dirtbike forum I go to. What is up with that, aren't there gun forums? I also frequent golf forums, surf forums, and Basset forums. I never see anything about guns on the golf or surf forums, and only occasionally in reference to hunting with hounds in the basset forums. Strangely enough, I have seen a basset thread here.

We just lost our Basset of 10 years,, plan on getting another, maybe two come summer. Basset stuff to know: Ears need to be cleaned every week They are short but big, really need large breed food for muscle and bone growth. They are short but LONG,, when they stand up on their hind legs they can easily reach up on the kitchen counter. Because of their short legs they should be kept off furniture until they are big enough to get up and down easily, and they should never be allowed to jump down from more than about a foot and a half. They should not be allowed to go up and down stairs until they are one year old. Because they are long, they can have serious back problems if the are allowed to get over weight. They are very smart, but unlike most breeds, they are not driven to please their masters, so you need to train them before they train you. Even though they are not driven to please humans, they almost always have a very pleasant and loving disposition. They only need a fair amount of exercise. They will often seem like they have only two speeds, wide open and sleep. They are very social and will usually get along with anyone and most other animals. Their hunt instinct is more of a sniff and follow instinct. They have great noses, and terrible sense of direction. If they get loose, they will follow their nose and probably not find their way home. One of their favorite games is Flat Basset, they usually decide to play this at bath time. It consists of laying flat on the floor and some how making themselves weight 20 to 50 times their normal weight while having the fluidity of a sack of potatoes. But they may play this anytime you want them to go somewhere they do not want to go. General dog stuff Most dog foods sold in the US contain lots of stuff unfit for human consumption, so it is really not good for dogs either. Dog food should be 70% meat and proteins, 30% veggies. With no corn, dogs cannot process corn. Best dog food fillers for dogs systems are potatos and brown rice. If the first two or three ingredients llisted are not meat or protein, it probably does not have enough. Meat by-products do not count. Some bad foods are Science Diet, IAMS, Purina. Some good foods are Wellness, and Blue Buffalo, both are very expensive. Some middle of the road foods are Eukanuba, and Kirkland (Costco brand) My sister is a champion lab breeder in VA, she uses Kirkland. www.dogfoodanalysis.com/ here is a dog food review site. They rate Science diet, IAMS and Purina 1 star, Welness and Blue Buffalo 6 stars, and Eukanuba and Kirkland 3 stars.. They generally do not recommend anything less than 4 stars. Most Milkbones are now made in China, lots of things come from China that are not good for people or dogs. Grapes, chocolate and onions are bad for dogs. Too much garlic is bad for dogs. Here are some good basset breeders www.longearedhounds.com/ www.huckleberrymtnbassets.com/index.html http://sperrysbassets-n-corgis.yolasite.com/ www.kennyacresbassets.com/ www.hydenshounds.com/index.html When we are ready we will probably get pups from one of the first two, the first one is the closest to us, and the second is in the same town where my sister lives. here is a basset forum www.bassetsunlimited.com/forum/ Our basset died of complications from surgery for a tumor, cost us $3,000, wish we would have had pet health insurance. here are a couple of pet insurance sites. www.petinsurance.com/Plans-And-Coverage/Dogs/Plans-for-Dogs.aspx www.petsbest.com/
