  1. Why in the World i should dride(no Typo here) one of these ... A 3 wheeled Vehicle is strange to me, be it a Sidecar, a Trike, Can Am Spyder, whatever ... Mostly it's because you got the best of both Worlds. Your outside, exposed to Wind, Rain, Cold and you can't overtake as fast as an Motorcyle. No Thanks... I admit it might be Fun anyway, but as long as i'm able to ride a Bike, i'll do so.
  2. On the other Hand .... if there would be a Ramp into the Dog House, wide enough to ride and not too steep ... There seem to be Feeding 3 Times a Day .... some Tools, a Mill, a Drill Press and a Lathe, maybe a Plasma Cutter and a TIG Welder.:crackup:
  3. The newer Bolts for the Rotors from Yamaha (i.e. FJR, R1, ...) come with the Thread Locker already applied. It's BLUE ...
  4. Nope, they hasn't been reported a Fix for the Switch. The Contacs mostly are toasted. You need to replace the Switch, because it will go out, only Question is when. Usually this happens in the worst Situation.
  5. I'm really sorry for ya Brad, but i have to ask .... Where's the "Donate to Squidley Fund" Button ??
  6. I've heard, it's back to normal on the second try. I suspect the Starter Clutch Housing also. Sometimes the Rollers get a good Bite on the Wheel and sometimes they don't. It doesn't help, you need to undo the Stator Cover and get that Rotor out. You should replaced everything related to Starter Clutch Assembly. Housing, Wheel, Rollers, Springs and the small Spring Cups and the three Bolts which held the Starter Clutch Assembly on the Rotor. Don't try to reuse some Parts, they will mess up the new Parts in no Time and you'll back in there soon.
  7. Does that mean the Starter is working normal on the second try or doesn't do anything at all ?
  8. Mike, you got that wrong. His refer to "Comments" didn't meant your Comment, but the Comments he heard at Scene and which he had marked in Bold Text.
  9. I'd go after whoever is held responsible for this and the other Accidents happening. Small Town or not. I'd make them pay for my Losses and Injuries. It's not only about your Health and Wealth, it's also about remembering them on their Responsibility and try to stop this infamous Practice.
  10. You can look up what you need to know here .. http://www.starmotorcycles.com/star/myyamaha/prompt/L3N0YXIvc2VydmljZS92aWV3bWFudWFscy9zdGFyX21hbnVhbHMuYXNweA==/Owners%20Manual/starthere.aspx
  11. There are Shim's on the Gear Wheel to sett the gear Lash. Taking one of them Out will reduce the Lash in Gear, replacing one with a thinker Unit will increase the Lash.
  12. It's still there ... Why should it get lost ?
  13. Wiggle on the Starter Button and see if that cures the Problem. There is an Opener Contact inside which opens all unnecessary Circuits during Starting. If the Contact is corroded or the Button itself is stuck before it completely traveled out, the Light won't come on. If you determine that as the Culprit, go ahead and undo the Switch Assembly and clean all Contacts inside. Use a CRC 2-26 or similar Quality. Once all is clean up, add some dielectric Grease on all Contacts to prevent them from corroding again. I'd take a Look at the left side Switches also and give them the same Treatment. If the Starter Button isn't Culprit, there may be an Issue with the Computer Board in the Dash, where all Solder Joint need to be resolderd.
  14. Ya know Swifty, that bad Habit of abusing Alcohol makes them 2Genner always feel faster than Light Speed, but it's mostly only during the Talking. On the Next Day, what remains is the Memory of a good Time and a speaking of fast Bikes.

  16. There have been a some Members (maybe 10 or so) which have had the Tire come apart or the Tire Thread loosing more or less big Chunks out of it. I ride them by myself, because our stupid Law more or Less forces my to. I have had no Problems since.
  17. I'm with Lynn here. My Laptop runs 1440x900 and almost half of the Screen is unused. It isn't annoying for me, but i thought why mess with a self adjusting System in first Place ?
  18. Could you please elaborate in the Differences between those two ?? Why do you prefer the Gusset over the Draggin ?
  19. Here are the Draggin Jeans in US... http://www.dragginjeans.com/default.aspx
  20. But you can always go this Way .... :stickpoke: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27962
  21. I don't know, but i'm thankful for it being not enough, finally it didn't work out ...
  22. The Price is good, who ever would mount them in a Venture would have a good Gain in Power. But i'd prefer the earlier Cams from the '85 or '86 VMX Model. These Cams would be fine for Venture, though. The Valves from a MKII are VMX Valves, but the Valve Springs should be changed to prevent the Valves from floating at high RpM. Regarding PMS, yes i think w're on a loooooong Journey .... started early this Year and hopefully doesn't last that long. :255:
  23. Lewis has had a Overdose of Black Owl's Beverage lately ...:whistling:
  24. Yes, c'mon rub it in !!! Keep them coming !! I had a 'wonderful' Day in the Office and i will have an even more wonderful Weekend with my Income Tax Declaration. Has to be in at Sunday night 'til midnight. I LIKE IT !! :crying:
