  1. Mike, i've seen such a System, but i can't find the Link right now. I researching my Brain and will come back with something. They even compute Tire Temperature. I have it on my Wish List for the next Tire Change on the Venture. Not cheap though, but my Bacon is worth more than Money.
  2. I'm not willing to stir a Pot, but i'm very sad that there seems no Way to discuss different Points of View and Economy/Politics in a polite Discussion and without getting into emotional/personal too deep. I like to discuss Things with the People i 'know' and i for one i don't disrespect them for having another Opinion than i have. We are all coming from different personal Backgrounds and for sure we have gathered a Lot of different Experiences in our Lives. The Fact that those Discussions go South almost every Time and are gone in the End is a Loss in my Book. A big Loss.
  3. I think it would be quite helpful when you mention the Bike you're relating to ?
  4. Ya know Mini, with Friends like that, you don't need Enemies
  5. Gerald, did you happen to see Die Hard 4.0 ?? If not, watch that Movie and see what's possible. I'm far away from saying this will happen, but it could. Besides that, i just love Bruce Willis, but this Time he wasn't covered with his own Blood 10 Minutes after the Story began. It took more than 30 Minutes, which makes me think John McLane is getting weak over the Years.
  6. You're right on, i'm absolutely with you on that.
  7. That's a Steal and a good Investment.
  8. 80 into the Carb Throat 117.5 is the main Fuel Jet in the Float Bowl 170 goes behind the Diaphragm Slider
  9. Hey Dan, many many Thanks for the Invitation. I really appreciate it as well as all the other Invitations i received in the Past. I'm truely sorry to say, but it won't be happening soon for what it's looking at the Moment. I wrote this in an Conversation with StarFan and you can believe it's the plain Truth and nothing but the Truth. If there would be any Chances i'd be in US. So please read what i told Jonas ... This no whining or whatelse, it's just the Way it is. If i could make it, i'd have had the Flight planned already.
  10. Well, that can be a Problem. If it's only the O-Ring sealing the complete angled Gear Housing, you can fix it easy. Take the Wheel out and Swingarm out open the three Bolts which hold that Thing in place and pull it out. Replace O-Ring and be mount everything back in Place. If it's not this O-Ring, well that's bad News. This involves a Lot of Work and special Tools.
  11. I don't think they will develop this Engine and only use for the Vmax. The Venture Flag will rise again. My Guess is ... no Venture in 2010 (doesn't change the Emission Laws in US in 2010 ??) and a new Long Distance Tourer in 2011. "Detuning" this Vmax Motor ??? It's no where near where it could be in the Vmax. The Power and Torque Values aren't that big when you take a Look at all the Technology they involved. I'm currently reading the '09 Shop Manual, and i dare to say, give that Motor calmer Cams and forget the YCC-I and you got a perfect Tourer which will hold on 300 000 mls at least. Just as the V4's have been, bullit proof.
  12. OMG MAN Jonas ... i'm sooooooooo sorry for you. You have to stay 12 Days on Vacation instead of 9 Day ... let's hope it's not getting any worse than that. Say, they cancel the Flight and you have to stay another 2 or 3 Days ? ON VACATION !! !!:bowdown::fingers-crossed-emo:fingers-crossed-emo
  13. Well, i don't want to speculate but take a Look here ... Yamaha Patents concerning the Vmax have surfaced end of July 2007 .... http://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/motorcycle-news/2008-yamaha-v-max-patents-revealed-ar40715.html Does this first Picture look like the 2009 Vmax ?
  14. Talking ??? WHAT ?? :whistling:
  15. Must have been a Typo, i guess that should be ... kind of innocent
  16. The FJR is smaller than a 1Gen, underequipped when compare Storage Capacity and Touring Gimmicks AND it's got the all wrong Motor Design(inline Four).
  17. Dan, i can't believe you didn't you know of that ?? http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3384
  18. I'd keep my Fingers away from the Airbox/Airfilter System. Yammi made an Art out of the Intake System and just to save some Money on buying a Filter every two Years, I'd stay off the System. You could find yourself in the middle of an neverending Story tinkering with the Carb Jetting. If you consider K&N Filters as a Saving, go that Route and be a happy Camper.
  19. 19507 on the first Try, funny, but i haven't got enough Time, so i stopped early.
  20. Now that you mentioned it, I thought something along the same Line, but was hesitant to come up with that. But you also have to see what they aiming at ... Dedicated to offering riders of http://starridersusa.org/images/buttons/StarLogo.jpg and All Motorcyclists in general, a family-oriented organization to promote respect, friendship, and rider participation in local and countrywide events. They even don't acknowledge the Existance of out of Country Riders nor do they seem to want them in their Family .... :255::crying:
  21. what Poll ?? :whistling: Get yourself a Vmax or FJR Final Dive and be a happy Camper (i believe). Edit .... ok, the Poll is showing up now ....
  22. :thumbsup2::thumbsup2: I just love the Idea !! !! Lewis, may i suggest you to start the Hunting for the Gift early and get ahold of it before End of May 2009. Because ... if the Gift could make it's Way to Don's Maintenance Day, Chances are very high that the Trip to gather YOUR Gift would finally lead you to an Island way up in the northern Atlantic .... :rotf::rotf:
  23. Bummer, there's something wrong in the VMAX Section. YCC-T doesn't provide a second Set of Butterfly Valves in the Throttle Bodies. http://www.starvmax.com/News/V-Max-News/Inside-the-2009-VMax-Literally.html The YCC-T System is the Fly-by-Wire System. The Throttle Cables are connected to a Throttle Position Sensor and the G.E.N.I.C.H. called Computer operates the Butterfly Valves, the EXUP Valve in the Exhaust and the other Components involved, such as Igniter Unit, YCC-I Lifter Unit. The YCC-T computes all the Input of the Sensors and calculates a fast as in a Millisecond the best Throttle Postion and Ignition Advance, EXUP Valve and Injection Time.
  24. a Red Neckless Dress ?? ??
  25. At least you have something to lose ...
