  1. YAMABOND without a doubt. This is great stuff i have used it in place of gaskets with no leak.
  2. I have recently installed a new clutch, I am having a problem when starting the bike sometimes. It seems if the bike is in gear and i pull the clutch lever to start. The bike moves forward, as the starter turns over as if the clutch is not disengsging the trans completely. I had this problem prior to the new clutch. Has anyone encountered this:think:
  3. I to have wondered this but after reading many posts on the subject, I have went to the rotella 15/40. just seem like it was the most recommended by other riders, nothing speeks better than experiance so i went with it.
  4. Since were on this subject any one know how to get that screw out after the head breaks off. Yep, went to remove the screw and the head popped right off.

    Jason Mod

I did the mod on my 84, couldnt tell the difference. as previously posted nothing more than a rough idle. My opinion, not worth the effort.
  6. Thanks for the great info, just what i needed Matt
  7. Well i went and done it. I pulled the clutch cover and removed seven friction plates. It appears that the last plate and disc are held in by some sort of retaining ring does anyone know how to remove them. Also i thought i was paying closer attention but i noticed one friction plate has a single square mark instead of the two circular notches like the rest. If any one knows where its supossed to be located this would be helpful. Any help would be great as i only want to pull it once and do it right the first time.
  8. Very funny my friends often ask " does your bike have an 8-track player".
  9. Thats interesting, it seems like there are more bikes on the road nowadays.
  10. Thanks for the tip I tried cleaning it but it didnt seem to make a difference.
  11. Thanks bobcat you were right, it was a bad conection at the bullet conector. I cleaned it and tightened it up now it works great.
  12. Any ideas on what to clean it with without harming the sensor mic.
  13. I have tried this as well it does'nt seem to make any difference im guessing the sensor may be faulty.
  14. Has anyone had problems with the auto volume control. My 84 has gave me problems since ive had it. I can set the volume to where i can hear it comfortable while riding and all of the sudden the thing blairs loud. So i turn it down and a few minutes later im turning it back up because its gotten to quiet. it does this constantly and it drives me crazy. I have removed the bottom unit where the auto volume control is located and tried cleaning it with no results. Does any one know how or if it can be by passed or do i need to replace it.
