r What Yammer said were not as close but still neighbors Arkansas is not that big and were already out numbered. Hope your happy with your new ride and enjoy it and if you haven't figured out yet that we all want you to stay well I dunno about you. How do you expect to have any meets and eats. You need any VR support for your Victory just call If I can't come get you I'm sure someone will and if its the twelve bucks I will pay it just to see that little Arkansas flag flying in the corner. Whatever you decide Good Luck to you and Happy Trails. Vincent

Rode my bike to the stealer today for some repairs and as I pulled up to the service entrance another man was going to his truck with his parts we exchanged a nod and I parked my bike and got off. Just as I was removing my "safety gear" a young man came out of the back of the shop on a Silver Wing ( it was a customers skoot he worked for the dealer ) anyway about the time the gentleman with the parts started backing out the young man gassed on the little skooter about 30' from where the little pickup was backing up hidden from view (almost certain his feet were dangling) the pickup appeared and the little show boat panicked grab the front brake on wet concrete and he went rolling right beside my bike. Found out the little Wing had just finished being repaired from a previous accident and this was the fourth incident with this young dude this week. General Mgr. came out to access the new damage so I explained to him what happened and that guy better not be on my bike. Don't think he will be there when I go back

Don looking forward to making some of these events next year but for some of us newbies can we get a little more information on the event itself and locations for example S E Texas is a big place here in Arkansas we have Porks in the pines everyday and I have never heard of a Kootenays. Are maint. days where everyone works on there bikes. Kinda exaggerating here and definitely don't mean to offend anyone just trying to explain how it is for me and probably a lot of new people here. From past post looks like everyone has a lot fun at these events and gets to meet old friends. Keep up the good work.

Interesting post on my recent trip I played around with my gear selections and what I noticed is that at the higher rpms the engine seemed smoother and quieter but mpg suffered. Running interstate at 80mph /5th gear around 39 to 41 mpg. Ran 55mph /4th gear mpg went up to 47mpg. Anything over 60 to 65 without going to 5th gear mileage seemed to drop anywhere from 36 to 38 and I know there a lot of other factors. What affect does the vmax rearend have on mpg and does it allow you to get into 5th sooner. Also have plans for a trailer next year is there any comparison on mpg pulling a trailer stock versus Vmax gears- 8 replies

Thanks PK I have been checking the up date only post but haven't seen anything recent just wanted to know how he was doing so many times a new crisis enters our lives and we tend to forget one that's not yet resolved. Best wishes to the family.

I have a flasher that does just that looks just like and emergency flasher but with 3 prongs one is for power the other two hook up one for each light will make them flash alternately or wig wag. Not sure where i got it but here is the brand and all the numbers on it. TRIDON SAE J1054 made in Canada electronic signal flasher EL 13a 12v max 25 amps I have used it to alternate head lights on my pickup so I know its heavy enough think I paid about 18 bucks for it but that was 15 years ago. With this flasher all you need to do is install a switch for the power supply. Galls may have them.

I helped my father in law remove one years ago. Check in the attic to see if its tied into the structure specifically the ceiling joist. You stated the hot water heater was in the basement so I'm assuming the chimney goes all the way from the roof to the foundation does the brick work match from top to bottom ? A lot of old chimneys were built free standing if you have ever seen an old house that has burnt to the ground and the only thing left is the chimney you know what I mean. If the brick work matches your probably safe taking it all down or at least to the basement ceiling. Without looking at I would still have a reputable contractor or inspector look at it. looking back at your post is the hallway a load bearing wall on the first floor and is there a load bearing wall close to the chimney on the second floor ? Load bearing wall should run in the same direction as the roofs ridge line. hope this helps.
