  2. Thanks guys as suggested I pulled all the fins off and everything is dry. http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=63684&stc=1&d=1327617560http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=63685&stc=1&d=1327617560 a couple more pics dont know if they will help. also couldn't find any sign of coolant dripping from anywhere else other than breather but it does look like its also leaking further up towards the right side and running towards the left side when on the side stand. P.S. those plugs your talking about have threaded insert in mine for approx 1/4 inch bolt.
  3. If it doesn't I got problems. Don't no how to download a link yet still having trouble with pics anyway pulled the service manual for a better look and it is shown in the lubrication diagram pg. 2-26 showing oil flow through it. From the parts diagram pg. b3 and b4 looks like it is directly connected to the cooling system. Service manual pg. 2-25 of the cooling system diagram it doesn't show coolant flow through it that I can tell. This is and 07 and somewhere I read there was a recall on the torque of the heads any chance of a blown head gasket causing this. I bought this bike used and don't know if the head issue (if there in fact is one with this model ) has been addressed. Hope it was my imagination that I read this somewhere.

  5. That's what I'm thinking they said they replaced the gaskets I'm suspecting a hair line crack some where close to that bolt. And no its not the rubber plug behind the fins if you look you will see where coolant has leaked down that bolt on the end. Any one had one of these twinkie things off. I think all of there good techs have jumped ship to the HD dealer just cant see letting them have a third crack at it.
  6. I'm ready to blow a gasket with my dealers service. Twice I have Taken my bike to the dealer to get my twinkie leak fixed and still the same thing. Never notice it leaking when the bikes running or hot always after it has set awhile after being ridden. Any clues at to what is going on I'm about ready to tackle it my self and be dam the warranty just hate to have to buy the freakin parts myself. Sorry but I'm pi never mind any suggestions. http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=63668&stc=1&d=1327596171http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=63669&stc=1&d=1327596171http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=63670&stc=1&d=1327596171http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=63671&stc=1&d=1327596171

  8. Great news. Don't know why they are always so scared of a warranty work I feel for the riders of there other bikes that don't have our warranty.
  9. Hey David I see your not far from me. I'm fixing to start building my own hitch in the next few days but a member has some for sale that he builds and all of his products are highly recommended. His name is Carbon One and he had a post about them just the other day you may have to look back a little ways to find it but the pics looked good.
  10. Hey I had to ride into the living room for that couldn't remember from the shop to the computer what the measurement was
  11. that is for a standard motorcycle jack. Not a floor jack for auto's
  12. 34 inches from end weight to end weight 07 rsmv
  13. Answer in original post
  14. If your jack has 12" bars place a 2x2x14 piece across the back section of jack and place 2 more 2x2 pieces approx. 6" in length on the front section of your jack. There are two brackets under the bike the full length section of wood will fit between towards the rear of bike line this up then watch as you raise jack and position the other two smaller pieces one on the frame on right side and the other one where it wont hit your kickstand safety switch. I found that it helps to have someone balance the bike upright while you are doing this. Hope this helps.
  15. Next target you your bike and a race track Nascar, dirt track, horse or dog track there should be a lot first gens hanging around a drag strip doesn't have to be open or a race going on. Have fun and

  18. Don do you happen to be on well water. Just wondering if the rust you describe is not Iron a common problem in well water that is not treated.
  19. Hey I know what you mean hard to see and hear what others see when your riding it. Glad you had a friend you could trust with your baby. Would like to hear what mine sounds like from behind it as for looking I just ride slow in front of store windows.
  20. You do know that the warranty is transferable if you can find a late model one whats left of the warranty is yours. I bought my 07 and had close to 18 months left. Good hunting
