The next target will be a Drive Inn Movie Theater working or not at least a pic of big screen or marque sign. Of course you and the bike must be in pic. Was reading back when this started made it to page 55 and my eyes got sore trying to find something original. I know there getting hard to find around here so good luck.

My new Road King Mufflers came with a wig?"
playboy replied to ablumny's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
09 mufflers on mine they were new too but nothing like that on the inside and no honeycomb cat that i could see they were made a bit different on the inside I suspect they were made to balance the the exhaust on the v twin. -
Does that mean you apologize for calling my bike a hardley wannabe and admit its a cool bike too just the way it was born. I am kinda of sensitive about such things.

DynoDon hope you're feeling better. These were taken at the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler Tx. Well all but the bike found these in downtown Tyler Tx.

And a 1st gen is so cool it doesn't need the HD look-alike faux air cool fins. Gary Seems to me like the 2nd gen's aren't trying to be anything they were not manufactured to be unlike some V-Max wannabes who never will truly be.

Serious cornering questions tips for an experienced Rider
playboy replied to muaymendez1's topic in Safety and Education
So glad you took that in the way it was intended and your last post I can really relate to I'm just not there yet and may not ever be and that's ok with me. Glad you started this thread I know it must have been hard for you and hope it's helped. When your riding you can have the peace of mind that your experience has at least helped someone else ME. Thanks Twigg for your reply -
Well I had never heard of using Rotella 15w 40 in a bike but I can tell you it's good oil. Over 250,000 miles on my Cat diesel and the inside is just as clean as the day it was rebuilt no sludge build up of any kinda and it gets opened up about every 80 to 100,000 for a overhead (valve adj.) and that's changing oil every 10,000 miles. Way more abuse than any of our bikes will ever see. do I use it in my bike not yet anyway just thought I would throw this out there for those considering it.

not sure about the one for cages but the dealer that finally fixed my twinkie leak pressure tested my bike to find it and to confirm it was fixed so there has to be away.

Serious cornering questions tips for an experienced Rider
playboy replied to muaymendez1's topic in Safety and Education
The following Questions I ask are for my information and in know way mean anything derogatory to anyone especially the OP. I know before I ask that they can be taken the wrong way but thats just me. I'm not very good at sugar coating it. Should someone take a riding course solo before taking a two up course and has anyone taken a two up course. That's 99% of my riding time. Is it suppose to be a badge of honor to be able to scrape something or a sign that your an experience rider. IMHO as a fairly new rider compared to the experience in this forum that's the message that I myself am seeing here. I worry about sending the wrong message to new riders like myself that that is where the bar is you have to reach to be a good rider. I may not be a good rider but I feel that I'm a safe rider a rider that constantly has room for improvement till the day I put the kickstand down for the last time. I know it must be a blast to be able to take a 15mph curve at 25mph over I question its safety on public roads while some may be able to achieve this I don't think that's something I could ever do I know a lot depends on the curve. Muaymendez1 I'm sorry for the loss of your friend and hope I haven't offended you but reading back over some of your reply's sounds like your pushing it pretty hard and I worry about your safety as a brother rider. We had some close calls last year with some of our other brothers here and would just like the chance to meet all of you someday. I understand your abilities and mine are probably know where even close just wanted to make some constructive criticism. sorry for being so long Vincent -

You might try a shoe store or western apparel store that sells boots if I'm not mistaken Kiwi brand shoe polish packages saddle soap in a can just like shoe polish. Not trying to mess up your excuse for ride just my 2 cents. -

My apologizes I'm out of WD 40 I did write on the shield with a permanent marker and a yellow tire crayon. Used a citrus based penetrating oil and removed the crayon. Goop removed the crayon and the permanent marker. Be sure the hand cleaner is the one WITHOUT the pumice. hope this helps
