1/4 inch osb board???? may as well have wallpapered it.... tear off and redeck?? ony if it was 3/4 " exterior grade, tounge and groove. Of course That would give you the strength you already have... I bought a 1850 farm house and 15 acres for a place to retire to. To say it was a real fixer upper would be an extreeme understatement. Back then the roof were built solid using 8" wide 3/4" thick pine lumber, on top of a true 2" x 8" oak roof joists. There must have been 15 leaks in the house ... I had to completely gut it... Can you guess why? Guess we had the same jackwagon ... Maybe he traveled west up to your place. wherever the wood ended it ended... so...naturally when someone walked on a unsupported plank it broke both the shingles and the edit thick felt so i got up on the roof, took the shingles off and chopped the pine plank down the center of the joist and screwed new planks down... also removed the areas where there were huge knots that broke out... Now who'd have guessed that a 5"knot on the edge of a plank would give out? that's the way i went... i figured 98% of the roof is good to go... why tear off something that is good.... when i went after the shingles and the rolled roofing the guy at lowes said i didn't have to use edit thick felt anymore?????????? I said "might not have to but i will".... are they using edit thick felt roofing on yours??????????? I to am a little curious as to why your having your roof done in december?

We recently spent $2500 on a young Black Angus bull. We put him out with the herd but he just ate grass and wouldn't even look at a cow. I was beginning to suspect he was gay, if that's possible with a bull. Anyhow, I had the Vet come have a look at him. He said the bull was very healthy, but possible a little young, so he gave me some pills to feed him once per day. Holy crap! The bull started to service the cows within two days. All of my cows! He even broke through the fence and bred all my neighbor's cows! He's been breeding just about everything in sight. He's like a machine!" I don't know what in hell was in the pills the Vet gave him but they kind of taste like peppermint.

I've seen it quite a few times. Cars will dirft to the center because they can't see and they don't want to go off the edge of the road.(specially here in WV as there are deep drop offs.) My rule of thumb is: if their low beams with running /fog lights are brighter than their HI beams............................ I will turn my HI beams on and leave them on till they get past. Hopefully they will get the point and either adust their lights properly or run legal lighting.

And then... they would take credit for making it happen...

looks like i will be reinstalling somethings on this computer as it seems to be locking up a lot lately... Oh well... helmet mount location, although probably the best location as far as vibration is concerned just looks funny to me. I had a camcorder with an invideo port along with a pencil cam and you wouldnt believe all the ribbing that created. As with skiing the best thing to do is include people you know and it will be make the video interesting. just going down a hill gets boring after a while. Your not going to be in the shot unless you have a good mounting system that allows you to trade off with the other bikes in your group. I'm sure this group has a few with these cams... Would be interesting to hear their views on what they found they liked as far as mounting and logic behind it...

The best thing to do in this case is to call landlord and hopefully if he's not competent he'll call a qualified technician.... I've been a landlord for longer than I care to remember and 99 % of the time I can fix the problem. Some can some can't... When I'm in over my head, I know B&G heating and cooling in Ripley WV has got my back... I hear what Dan and Jay are saying about cleaning the Flame sensor... same goes for a temporary fix to a 220 volt well pressure switch. or a thermocouple...Key word there is temporary... and yes sometimes a inducer fans needs replaced... Unfortunately things are not made to last the way they use to be? And I'm told by my AC tech that with this new Freon... well let's just say don't expect the units to last like the older models.

If its a newer gas furnce there is a small exhust gas fan in the middle right hand corner. When the thermostat calls on heat, this fan has to start first or the furnace won't light. try tapping on it. They are a PITA but ever couple years you have to take off and put two drops of sewingmachine on the bushings. a unscrupulose? repair man will replace fan... most when called will use just use the oil... Im told the fans are notorious for this as the as sit all year long without moving as it is a heat only function. before you do anything... there should be a circuit board with diagnostic light in middle... If a malfunction is detected it will flash 3,4,5,6 etc. times.... that along with the make model serial numbers and you can go on-line for the trouble code. If our lucky it will be written under cover or in general vicinity. PS or it could be something as simple as a bad thermostat.

+1... A half decent HVLP will be alot easier for someone to use that is less experienced. cleanup is easier. For someone that is experienced though... it will be impossible to distinguish the finnish between them. loss of product: siphon gun: when spraying(overspray) and what it can't reach in the bottom of the cup. I figure it this way, if you already have it mixed ... you are going to be throwing away what is not used as there are activators and hardners in the newer paints...

Harbor Freight sells some really neat tool chests on wheels... If you ever went into a garage of a really good mechanic, you'd see them take a tool out, use it, wipe it off and "put it the heck back where it belongs".. They can do it, cause it's on wheels and you can get it really close to the work area.(and they usually have thousands of dollars invested in their Snap-on tools) I take it one step further and push a work picnic table in the garage (cause I hate bending over or working on the floor). So for me the tools either get put back where they belong; or, are on top of the picnic table... never on the bike, never on the floor etc... Really drives me crazy to look for tools.... -
Even in jest what we say can hurt. My wife saw this and was hoping that none of your singer friends would see this... we certainly hope not. Did you get the Ural yet?

Has anyone ever ridden a sport touring bike??
CaptainJoe replied to we2riders's topic in Watering Hole
I write this with pause because I haven't ridden one. So take that with a grain of salt... I have however tried multitask bikes and have been very dissapointed to date. Bought a DR400 Suzuki (enduro) and it was to heavy to climb or descend steep hills and was barely able to sustain 70mph. I've had a 2007 midnight for over 3 years now and it's like driving a caddiliac?. drove to keywest in march +500 miles a day and didnt want to get off. I also rode a 650 vstar to washington state and back +500 miles a day for 12 days... and will never do that again... It's all about comfort and how the bike fits you, as well as protects you from wind buffeting and vibration. After a while, that is what will ultimately get to you... EDIT Some things to consider: How far are your trips going to be (Miles per day) Is the wife going (is she going to be comfortable) 0-300 mi. per day, any bike +300 mi. per day, touring bike. IMHO END EDIT -
Neither ... I'd take the insurance money and move... Exactly like the laffer curve predicts...

Wonder why Hannigan hasn't tried to create a trike with a bench seat (for two)? would add a little to the length? EDIT To be more specific, the driver would still be seated in the front center, but, behind him instead of a single passenger seat there would be a 2 place, bench seat. It would also allow the weight to carried lower. (slide the rear axel back about a foot and lower bench seat about 6"... That way 3 people could ride... just a thought... END EDIT

You're getting into an oil/tires conversation... I still use siphon exclusievly?.... sharpe... And I'm happy with the results... like I said before smaller orifices.... experimented with the cheaper HF HVLP and lasted about 10? paint jobs?
