  1. If your standard H4 bulb switches from high beam to low beam just fine then its not the switch on the Venture. The Hid I use moves the bulb to change the beam pattern. Sounds like something in the HID kit wiring isn't right. You do have to run the hot from the battery or a switched hot to the kit. The plug in to the existing headlight lead on the bike is just to sense the change from low to high.
  2. Weights or cracks, which would you prefer ?
  3. I will even tie down a single 1x4. Its stupid to think something cannot fly out of the bed of a pickup.
  4. If they were going to make changes there would be a bunch of advertising goin on right now.
  5. I did try the CT. The wobble can be compared to the buffeting you get behind a tractor trailer. But there were a couple of times in a turn that the wobble popped its ugly head out at me. The bike had basically become unpredictable and that's not something I wanted so back to a MT for me. Its under certain conditions ,speed, lean angle, and other factors that the instability of a CT on a bike shows up. Get yourself some slow s curves or 90s and some fast s curves and 90s (45mph or higher)on that CT and you may see what I mean.
  6. I was thinkin Moped

  8. You guys should check out Vipre. Made by Sunbeltsoftware. Its working real good for us. I dropped Trendmicro for them at 1/4 the cost. Its catching things even Trend didn't catch and the machines are not nearly as slow. http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com
  9. My speedohealer is set at 9%. I don't think a 2% adjustment is really worth it. I love my speedohealer. No more compensating in my head. Just look down and that's the speed. If you only adjust 2% out your basically getting nowhere because you still have at least 5% error so why bother. My CT experiment was a failure also. Got an elite 2 which they quit making but mine is only a little over a year old and really like this Dunlop. I had run Avons but won't anymore after all the cracking sidewalls and the fact it felt slick on theses Texas roads for some reason.
  10. Take away his ability to post till he goes off the deep end from not being able to talk here.
  11. I'm only making the replacement plastic for them. After a couple of years of opening and closing them they crack at the mounting bolt holes
  12. Tips. Be sure its in gear. They are hell to lift and walk with at the same time. Be sure the kick stand is down if it falls over to the right. Its kinda hard to put it down after lifting the bike and your now on the wrong side.
  13. I said I wasn't stable now didn't I ?
  14. No, not mental, that left long ago and will never come back. I finally got rid of the CT today and put a Elite II on the back. WAY BETTER. I'm not trying to control the bike all the time anymore and its fun to ride again. That's my take on running a CT and I tried everything to get it to work but you really just can't use a CT on a motorcycle IMHO. So I'll just .
  15. The reality of this is they are people to and prone to the same mistakes we are. Having grown up and been around them all my life I can tell you that for a fact. I can also tell you its gonna haunt him more than it would the average person for a longer period of time. And as its been said, riding has its own set of dangers. I hate reading these things but its a fact of life when traveling in any type of vehicle.
  16. Make her get her own bike.

  22. You have a 1 in 3 chance it was hacked from within. Somebodies checkin on you to see if your really working.. * For the fifth year in a row, more respondents (74%) cited their Internet Connection as a frequent point of attack than cited their internal systems as a frequent point of attack (33%).

  24. Somethings should always be a habit. Kill switch, choke, and in gear when parked and N when starting. We won't go into the why's and wherefores these have become a habit.
