    thanks dingy i understand you never get what ya put into it. i once sold a car for $25 over what i owed the loan company just to get the loan out of my hands and a second car i didnt need anymore. im not expecting a gold mine this bike needs some TLC. and as you can see i realy realy dont want to part with it. but times are tough my friend. if some one like mike eusa up in dixon IL and thats not far from here could put this up some where for free till next spring that would be great but i hate to ask him. pepole have done so much for me here . im trying to see if i could get help to just maybe put it right under my front window? i need some pepole to drive or push it up there and being its grass i need something under the side stand? and i can just cover it up till spring. please understand im not trying to beg someone to buy this. just trying to make it till another and hopefully a better year.

    i have talked to the loan company about my motorcycle there is a small loan on it that is now being paid by the insurance company. i took out that benifit in case of finance problems so far there paying the loan payments. but they will release the bike for the right price? as of right now its back together just needs some things tighten up and i will go up there and do this latter. as most pepole know im in a finance bind and can hardley make ends meet. the storage runs $75 a month and after august i can no longer afford this. so my thoughts are sell it give the money to the loan company and get out from under it. or if someone close by is willing to store it for free that would be great!!! im looking at this workers comp case to end by december. also the loan company said i could just trade it and they would hold the title to the new bike. and the insurance pepole will still make payments. so that gave me another thought maybe someone has a smaller bike that runs they would trade straight up for so i can do a little ridding this year? ihate to get rid of it. but here is a list if what has been done to it #1 new dunlop tires 404 last year less then 500 miles on them. #2 skydocks fuse up grade #3 nice exhaust put on used from ebay but all there from front to back includeing the nice collector. and turn down tips. #4 new brakes with new rear rotor this was a $1200 fix that was part of haveing the exhaust and brakes done. have recipet. #5 used radiotor from skydock and used hoses new antifreeze installed i ran the bike and no leaks thanks skydock and the other member who gave me the hoses. also installed the side plugs? that dingy sent again no leaks. #6 nice battery that i bought at a harley shop cost $125 gel type less then 7 months old and i used skydocks battery sender wire to stop the flashing light on the computer. and im sure there is other stuff im forgetting? now the bad she needs the carbs sync she idles ok but needs the choke to start it? after about a minute choke can be pulled off and she idles but a little rough? seafoam was added at storage and new plugs installed. she needs a paint job its faded and there are some of the usual crack. rear trunk passenger pad needs to be redone shes ripped. ihvae the chrome rack but nedds 2 screws removed they broke off but the rack is still nice and shinny. could use a new clutch and front brake master the sight glass is ugly. a little time by you experts here and this bike will run like it should. it has 77k on her. but if some one is willing to store it i would like to keep it or trade for a small bike till next year once again many thanks to all of the help from you great pepole sincerly oldgoat

    that is great news congrats im just waiting for one of these calls someday my daughter got marrried back in may i got a great son-in law and he had a child prior to them getting married so i guess that makes me a step grandpa? shes 13 and i like her but i want one of them fresh new ones so i can teach them all the anoying things that mommy did to me while she was growing up.

    trying to upload she did not like the burgandy so went brown i will leave it till next year then i will touch it up i made a promise that she can paint all the plastic i will let her do the fairings as well when i get to removing them and fixing the tabs and cracks she needs more exp on tapeing the stuff LOL but for a 13 year old girl shes learning

    congrats now you can load the grandchild up with lots of sugar treats so she can be wired when she goes back home to mom and dad. also make sure you buy lots of noisy toys to take home. so that she can drive her parents nuts. you also get to hear that famous saying but grandpa said i can have it. now enjoy her for they soon grow up,

    well today i was heading down to peoria IL on I 39 when this awesome black and gold yamaha venture passed me then went on toward bloomington /normal now i never saw a black and gold one before did they come out in that color? im thinking a mkII? as the bags looked larger at least what i could see of the bike that sucker was hauling arse. i was doing 80mph in the car at the time but i got a fair look at it when it pulled of and onto the exit toward bloomington/normal looked like AZ plates maybe ? anyways just wanted to say if it was you that is one nice looking bike.

    i just want to say thank you thank you thank you. as you all know i was faceing some real hard times. and im doing some what better. with the great support from to many to name here im doing a little better. its nice to know my lights and internet wont be shut off for at least 3 months with all of your help i paid in advance and my fridge is stocked with food maybe not steaks or even pork chops but its still food. cupboards have soups vegies and basic things. i did spend a few dollars for new socks and a pair of sneakers a man can wear boots just way to much sometimes they get heavy . i may not be out ridding but there is a smile on my face as i know i have a ton of of angels here watching over me. so once again my thanks and prayers go out to each and every one of you sincerly James aka oldgoat

    well its a nice day here today last night was the fireworks show and it was verry nice. in a few hours my sister and her husband will be haveing a cook out so i will head there for the day. we will be getting my aunt out of the nurseing home for a few hours to spend with us. she,s starting to forget who some of us are but thats ok. so every one enjoy the day and happy fourth of july

    prayers sent my new year has not been a good one either. keep your chin up. smile like it doesent hurt infront of pepole then when ya see the doc scream like heck. thats what i did. but then he just gave me more meds.

    sorry to hear this Tom i pray this gets better and you can hide them horse pills in ice cream you do know that dont ya. just make sure its your horse pills and not the de worm ones for the dog:rotf:

    i recall our first tv was round screen. you got up to change the chanels. you would have to whack it sometimes to get sound and stop if from rolling. my dad used to fix old tvs the tube type ones. i recall one day standing over him and watching him replace them tubes it was a old tv not working for like 2 years well he touched the back of the picture tube and got knocked on his butt. he latter found out there was a tool to discharge them picture tubes as they can hold a charge in them for a few years even after they sat not working that long. i laughed my butt off after i saw he was ok.
