  1. Anybody out there have a Morgan Carbtune for loan or sale?
  2. A blonde walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the Loan officer. She says she's going to Europe on business for two weeks and Needs to borrow $5,000. The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of security for the loan, so the blonde hands over the keys to a new Mercedes Benz SL 500. The car is parke...d on the street in front of the bank, she has the title and everything checks out. The bank agrees to accept the car collateral for the loan. The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the blond for using a $110,000 Benz as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then proceeds to drive the Benz into the bank's underground garage and parks it there. Two weeks later, the blonde returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says, "Miss, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?" The blonde replies, "Where else in New York City can I park my Car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?" Finally... a smart blonde joke.
  3. Hey All, Anyone in the GTA (west end) with a carb sync tool to loan?
  4. ok it is now 5:40 here in good old IL im up because i have been having sleep problems for that past week. doc says its stress and gave me pills to help. well about 5 minutes ago my cell phone that my daughter got me rang so since im up i answerd it. this is what happend them- hello this is a bill collector we are trying to reach a james hack me - yep you got him how may i help you? them well you owe us xxx amount of money for a loan you have. me ok i understand that. but im now dissabled and i can not work. i did take out insurance on this loan that in case of loss of job and dissabilty they would make the payments? them -well mr hack they cant do that because when you took out the loan you said you where working? and your doctor said you been dissabled since 2008? and we gave you the loan in 2010. so we dont cover pre exsisting dissabilty? me-- well let me get this right i paid a fee of around $150 for this protection and you wont honor it? and for your information yep i was dissabled way before 2008 but i got a work ticket from social security to try and work. so yes i was dissabled and still able to try and work now i can no longer work so you should do what your insurance on the loan says it will do. them-- sorry mr hack but we cant you must keep up the payments or we come for the stuff you put down as collateral. me thats fine if you get anything out of my small apartment thats worth that amount feel free to come for it. and this was an unsecured loan. high intrest i put nothing down as collateral. and hey since your going to come and get my stuff i have an alarm clock. you might want that because i think you cant call at this time of day. but im willing to pay the intrest till i can do better. them we cant accept that amount. me so your refuseing money? them yes MR HACK thats to low and it will take you at least another year more to pay it off. me so lets get this right you dont want any of my money so i consider it paid since you dont want any money? they hung up
  5. i have talked to the loan company about my motorcycle there is a small loan on it that is now being paid by the insurance company. i took out that benifit in case of finance problems so far there paying the loan payments. but they will release the bike for the right price? as of right now its back together just needs some things tighten up and i will go up there and do this latter. as most pepole know im in a finance bind and can hardley make ends meet. the storage runs $75 a month and after august i can no longer afford this. so my thoughts are sell it give the money to the loan company and get out from under it. or if someone close by is willing to store it for free that would be great!!! im looking at this workers comp case to end by december. also the loan company said i could just trade it and they would hold the title to the new bike. and the insurance pepole will still make payments. so that gave me another thought maybe someone has a smaller bike that runs they would trade straight up for so i can do a little ridding this year? ihate to get rid of it. but here is a list if what has been done to it #1 new dunlop tires 404 last year less then 500 miles on them. #2 skydocks fuse up grade #3 nice exhaust put on used from ebay but all there from front to back includeing the nice collector. and turn down tips. #4 new brakes with new rear rotor this was a $1200 fix that was part of haveing the exhaust and brakes done. have recipet. #5 used radiotor from skydock and used hoses new antifreeze installed i ran the bike and no leaks thanks skydock and the other member who gave me the hoses. also installed the side plugs? that dingy sent again no leaks. #6 nice battery that i bought at a harley shop cost $125 gel type less then 7 months old and i used skydocks battery sender wire to stop the flashing light on the computer. and im sure there is other stuff im forgetting? now the bad she needs the carbs sync she idles ok but needs the choke to start it? after about a minute choke can be pulled off and she idles but a little rough? seafoam was added at storage and new plugs installed. she needs a paint job its faded and there are some of the usual crack. rear trunk passenger pad needs to be redone shes ripped. ihvae the chrome rack but nedds 2 screws removed they broke off but the rack is still nice and shinny. could use a new clutch and front brake master the sight glass is ugly. a little time by you experts here and this bike will run like it should. it has 77k on her. but if some one is willing to store it i would like to keep it or trade for a small bike till next year once again many thanks to all of the help from you great pepole sincerly oldgoat
  6. A Cowboy from Sweetwater, Texas walked into a bank in New York City and asked for the Loan Officer. He told the Loan Officer that he was going to Paris for an International Rodeo for two weeks and needed to borrow $5,000.00 and that he was not a depositor of this bank. The bank Officer told him that the bank would need some form of security for the loan, so the Cowboy handed over the keys to a new Ferrari. The car was parked on the street in front of the bank. The Cowboy produced the title and everything checked out. The Loan Officer agreed to hold the car as collateral for the loan and apologized for having to charge him a 12% interest. Later, the bank's President and it's officers all enjoyed a good laugh at the Cowboy from Texas for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral for a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank's private underground garage and parked it. Two weeks later, the Cowboy returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest of $23.07. The LoanOfficer said, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very well, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out on Dunn and Bradstreet and found that you are a highly sophisticated investor and a multi millionaire with real estate and financial interests all over the world. Your investments include a large number of wind turbines around Sweetwater Texas. What puzzles us is why would you bother to borrrow $5,000?" The good ole' Texas boy replied, "Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $23.07 and expect it to be there when I return?" Don't mess with TEXANS!
  7. As some of you may know, I got rid of my 97 RSTC months ago when the word "baby" came into the picture... Well, after budgeting things out for the new baby boy, (who is due to get here in December) we came to the conclusion that I can afford another scoot! So, we plan everything out and decide that I've got to keep it under $6k, in order to stay within budget on the monthly payments for a loan, which means I am right in 'The Zone' for another late 90's Tour Classic. We head to my favorite financial institution to do the paperwork, spend a few minutes talking about everything and right as everything is coming together... (Insert loud derailing scratching record sound here) Apparently I'm a victim of identity theft. I owe LOTS of money to people and places I've never heard of. I'm no dummy to the credit game, so I'm taking appropriate actions, but whoever has been doing this to my credit is good at being a ripoff, so I'll be caging it for even longer. Unfortunately, I have to wait at LEAST 1 year after the last derogatory item is removed from my Equifax report before either of my loan institutions will allow me to take out a loan. It's company policy that cannot be bent, broken, or moved. All 3 bureaus are 'working on it' and a credit advisor said I may have to contest some items several times before they get removed, and request 'proof' in writing where I opened the accounts. Anyhow, sparing the rest of the details... No scoot for me. I'm mad and sad at the same time, because I truly miss riding, and some a-hole is cruising around with a total of $13k worth of merchandise purchased in my name and never paid for it... and I can't even ride. On a side note, here's Gibson Lane Henninger in 3D, one of the few things that help keep me sane through a time like this.
  8. Put my bike in the classifieds. It's either sell or let it be repo'd. That happens some times when you're out of work for a while, for me, that's been since May. The loan companies won't cut you any slack and I guess my partial payments didn't cut the mustard with them. Any way I got to do something quick. Thanks for looking.

  12. So I like to price shop. (yeah I am part dutch) I called credit union "A" for a loan for the Venture I want to pick up this weekend. they gave me a quote of 8.5% and a 36 month term. Called credit union "B" and the loan officer said off the cuff, without looking at my credit history, 7% and 48 month term. Called credit union "A" and asked them to match credit union "B" for terms (7% and 48 months). They said they would get back to me. Credit union "B" calls back and says I am approved for 8% at 60 months. I tell them I don't want a 60 month, but a 48 month, they tell me it's the same interest rate regardless of the loan. I tell them I will get back to them after "A" calls back. Credit union "A" calls back and says I am approved at 7% for 48 months. I accept the offer. Looks like I am going to pick up a second Gen for Valentine's day!

  15. 62 and want to retire? Just take out a Reverse Mortgage on your house.Buy a new scoot, travel, live it up and never have to pay back the loan in your lifetime. No credit checks either. After your gone the house is sold to pay back the loan. Talk about spending the kids inheritance. The sad thing is many will take this option when they find out it's the only way to afford retirement.
