it's good you're back up. i went for awhile without riding, but i was the bike being down, not me. it is good when all comes together. it reminds us not to take our RSV for granted.

very nice. that blue really stands out against the black backgrnd. here is a non shopped shot of our white 04 RSV on green backgrnd.

well, yes, but in a warm way. i could not pass it up. -
congratulations, now just take care ofit so it lasts long enough to pay off another scooter!

try some foam tape on the clutch handle. it may be the clutch handle "digging" into the tender area of the fingers. after awhile, you may be able to remove the foam. sort of like a new beginning guitar player having to go through building caluses on the finger tips. will be sore for awhile, but eventually you toughen up. just another thought

as straight forward as changing oil & adding motor kote. -
when we got our 04 RSVa couple months back, i began to ride. i do woodwork, leather work, yard work, computer work, hunt, fish, reload & sport shoot. i was surprised at how weak my clutch hand was. i went wally mart & bought a pair of those hand spring excersiser thing-a-ma-bobs. they made the difference for me. i use when i am at the keyboard to strengthen my hand & forearm.

i have often wondered where all the Louisiana motorcycle laws are. i searched the internet & only found a few. how do we comply when we are not informed or given an avenue to go & look periodically for changes to existing law or new law going to the books? the passing along of information would go a long way in helping out the folks like us or the young man who wound up in a tangled mess. this is an aggravation that does not need to be. i had seen where one of our members was an attorney (texas maybe) that may have a clue to where we may be able to look. If there is a VR member who would like to help out the uninformed, some of us would like to know our state laws & where to find them. Dale in La.

Lower Carb Boots

i believe you are correct. i have not had that problem, but the stuff i have had to do, it should not be difficult. maybe time consuming. just hav all the stuff you need before taking it all apart. -
there is no pic or link to the trailer you have in mind - so i can't answer your question - but - my open trailer was transformed from a utility trailer. i can move the front wheel chock - just unbolt, move, drill new holes & bolt down. that won't help me though, as my trailer is only a singel trailer. the one you are looking should have specs as to how customizable it is. dale in La

just like heavy machinery that added a third sproket to route the chain link belt up & over forming a triangle. I don't see a lot of practicality in it, but at least the will call it art. i call it a Ninja. dale in La

is there anyone close to a bandit retail outlet that can buy it & ship it via slow boat??

we are interested, we are not far from Lake Charles. there is a tentative M&E in Ms in October, also to note. dale in La

does it hit at full turn? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I don't know. i will check tonight. from what i remember, though, as i am sitting at work, i don't think so. it seems about level with the radio unit, so it should swing right over. I will go into the garage & swing the bars L to R full lock & find out. I will post after that for a defininite answer. Dale in La

as far as i have seen, when i was shopping for mine, the GW is compatable with RSV as well as most bikes with audio/music devices. you will either get the patch cord or not. ask the seller if you get the patch cord. the patch cord patches the headset to the bike. one end is the 5 pin connector going on the bike and the other is a half flat connector that connects to the headset. i say this going by the fact i bought J&M and you are looking at J&M. if the sale doesn't include the patch cable, you will just have to buy one. dale in La

i forgot to mention that the cup does swivel to and fro. after tightening the bolt that holds the cup to the mount, it moved when i went to check something else. that was an added bonus in my opinion. it has some friction to keep it from freely swinging like the boat styled cup holders. that saying, after some time of riding, it may wear and swing freely. the mount is sturdy and tightened up well. here is an excerpt from the advertiser - capable of holding drink containers, beverages, cell phones, sunglasses, radios, and keys. It features a separate inner insulated lining that detaches easily from the stainless steel beverage/accessory holder and chrome-plated mounting hardware. Foam inserts accommodate 12 oz. cans, 16 and 20 oz. bottles. Fits most 7/8" to 1.25" handlebars. Comes individually boxed with an Allen wrench for easy assembly. one reviewer stated "don't use windex to clean it" so far so good. dale in La.

that is a good pic. you are really getting good at this. once mastered, you will be looking for another photo to master - then another - then . . . .

last week i was surfing & came across a chrome cup holder. i ordered it & it came in. i could not wait to get it installed. i have been on call & the hours don't leave good mechanicin' time. today i got it installed as well as re routing the driver audio cable. the pictures will be mixed up due to naming conventions, but you will get the idea after reading this novel. one pic shows the factory ad. it is/was on sale for 36 bucks and some shipping. go to www.cruisercustomizing.com and do a search for cup holder. there are a couple of pics checking out which side to mount the holder on. i put the handlebar mount on the right & just held the cup there. that won't work for me, so it is off to the other side. i really wanted something to hold my Mp3 player & the included extra foam for smaller containers is great for the player & cord. i feel the friction fit will it sufficiently, but a ride down I-10 in Louisiana will be the ultimate test. there have been improvements to I-10, but only because of Hurrican Katrina, Rita, Ike & Gustave to improve hurricane evacuation routes. the cup holder comes with 2 sets of inserts to fit 3 different handlebar sizes. i took the smaller of the two to get it mounted by the radio unit. i took several pictures of after mounting for different view. included in the pictures are my re routing the audio cable. i did not like that it hung over the tank left side. the previous owner had removed the rubber holder. it was in the trunk among the other stuff that came with the bike. i cut velcro type material to fit the rubber holder, cleaned both surfaces with al -key - haul & mounted it to the tank cover. i used my dremel rotary tool with a similar size stone to make the new hole so the cable would come through the inside of the ingnition cover straight down the tank. i can't test ride as i won't hear my on call phone ringing, so i will wait until coming wednesday for a ride when i am off . i hope all holds up. dale in La.

for those needing rain, i would gladly send some of what we are getting here in south east Louisiana. it seems to rain when i am either off work or on Friday when we can wear jeans & is the best day for me to ride to work. although 2 days after a rain is the best condition for our gravel road to take me to asphalt. anyone have a cheaper source for air filters than the local stealer? dale in La.

I am at work, so i don't have a choice. well i could not show, but i do need gas money. So, what are some of the reasons members are on the forums and not riding?? dale in La
