Passing Lamps and Lightbar help
relic replied to wakers's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
The curved light bar accomodates the new driving lights and you use your existing signals. They attach below the driving lights. The straight bar you have now is removed.I have attached a picture of mine that are yamaha's driving lights and the bar came with them as a set. -
Great news to see they passed so fast. 1st bout I had the stone passed in a few hours. Second bout, three days in hospital and another eight days before it passed. That was two years ago. Xrays still show two on right side and I am not looking forward to when they decide to move. Again I can sympathize with your pain.

Money's sent Lewis. If not enough let me know. With no auction I saved a bundle.

Good come back Lou. I would still love to have the bike you have now if I could afford both. Happy to see people do what ever they want with their toys and would say most here would be hard pressed to compare to your mileage this year.

I agree totally. The Fedex part of my post was copied from a post by RED1. I was just using it to make a point. I beleive all the Couriers with their own custom brokerage houses would be priced higher than the post office
-
As for getting stuff into Canada - FedEx is definitely a better way to go. They have their own customs brokerage set-up and I have never had a problem with them either getting something delivered or bogged down in customs. I shipped with USPS once - never again. With FedEx I can get a crate from WI to Calagary in 4 days and they bill my client directly for the Canadian taxes and fees. UPS has their own custom brokerage set up as well The cost was Brokerage fee $29.55 Tax on Brokerage fee $1.48 which accounted for most of the COD. This is on top of the $18.00 I prepaid to initially ship the item! The Canadian tax part was $5.80. Brokerage fees from USPS or Canada post have never amounted to that much ever. UPS are just crooks, simple as that!

I have dealt with the last place that has UPS shipping only. Just bought 3 bottles of Ride on. Cost $37.00 shipping was $18.00 to Canada. I could live with that. However when it arrived it had a COD of $36.83 for UPS customs and the Canadian GST. Now it cost me more in shipping than the product itself. Can't see that happening again. USPS has never cost me anything near that. So much for free trade! UPS takes that away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Wayne: Dianne and I are going to try and meet up with Dogman and make this ride also. If you post a meeting address I can put it in a GPS also in case we miss Dave. I'm not familair with Caledonia either although I have ridden through there. Thanks

My memory could never be that good to pick a date but I bought the Venture in Aug 2004 and was told of this site shortly after that and joined. I remember meeting Reiny and some others at a Tim Hortons in Brampton Spring of 2005 so it was before that when I joined.I met a women from Newyork too. Wowskunk I think. Has any one heard from her lately? I am real glad I joined as the people I have met to date will always be in my heart.

Allen: Check the Y pipe for a leak on the top under the guard. I have had both sides replaced for leaks in the Y pipe. The first dealer tried to convince me it was the drain holes on the bottom. Not the case.

Sorry to hear this news Bob but real happy that you and Becky are here to talk about it. They build bikes everyday but you two can't be replaced. Take care and we will see you soon.
