The ones I have looked at have lights and I was figuring I would need to move the License too, because I agree with you not good to block things, ESPECIALLY the lights for saftely sake alone.

Good Deal. Glad they got you taken care of. I'm still not convinced on the Ethanol issue. My 03 has almost 47000 miles and has always burned Ethanol, cause here in IL you can hardly find a non ethanol station. I don't put much stock in what HD says for their bike either, because they recommend 93 octane also and ours is 87 so there has to be something different in the way the engines are configured. I would bet it is more likely a change in Yammaha fuel pump supplier that has caused the issue. Anyway glad they got you fixed up. Looking forward to seeing you guys in ES! Jay

I sent Laurene at CycleGadgets an email this morning to see if they are interested since their headquarters are in Eureka Springs. They have already graciously offered to have donuts and coffee for us on Saturday 9/13/08, 10:30 am for this years Eureka Springs get together. They are great people.

Working on the wife to let me have a M & E sometime. After this add on, I'll have almost a 1000 sq ft of deck, so I'd say I have the room

Here is what has been occupying my time lately. New pool and now I've been working on the deck. This is better than a diet. I've lost 10lbs since Thursday! Thank goodness for my friend AJ:biker: and my blessed wife:2132:. AJ came and helped Sat. & Sun and my wife helps all the time. She is quite the woman. I've never had her shy away from helping with anything. One question though.........How'd I get so dang lucky!! I've taken the rest of the week off to finish the railing and the lattice around the bottom and then maybe I can relax and ride again. Later. Out to work! Jay

Mine did that and it ended up being broken. Dealer replaced the whole unit, cause you can't just replace the door, under warranty. Until the part came in I wedged a nickel in between the side of the door and the frame. It worked pretty well. Never came open. I would have probably left it that way if the dealer wouldn't have been willing to replace it.

I was wondering how you got along. Glad you made it safe and sound. See you next month my friend!!

The T-Shirt contest was halted. Our illustrious leader, Mr. Freebird came up with an awesome design and to give us plenty of time to research the best prices, we made a decision to use his design. Sorry for the confusion. Jay

I'm there with you! Part of the reason I got my nickname. Last week I hit 3, two on Thursday's ride home. One hit my Knee and the other the top of my helmet! Blackbirds/starlings seem to be my bird of choice

I have the XXL Clearview, Tinted w/vent. The nice thing about the Clearview is you can use RainX on it., however I have found Spray Lemon Plegde works better. Anyway due to the design it sheds wetter so much better than the stock that I have no issues looking through. Jay

I have a 2003 and feel it has a VERY smooth ride. I moved up from a V*1100 and at 80 - 90 it felt like it would come apart. I HAVE to use the cruise on the RSV just to keep from running it up to 90 because I really can't tell much difference in the feel, sound probably, but I have my music on. Coming home Thursday from work I accelerated onto the Interstate at what I thought was not even an agressive manner, just to get in front of an oncoming semi. GPS locked in my Max speed for the day at 97.7 and I still had 2 gears to go. I LOVE my bike. I would absolutely recommend riding one before purchasing though. That is the absolute way to know if it is right for you.

Dan, Private threads are only set up for planning of rallies/M&E and such to allow organizers a way to communicate without having to do it all by PM. We aren't trying to hide anything, but it gets really difficult to sort through all the thread to find info. The latest one was set-up for the 2009 Arkansas rally. We plan to come to the group for opinions on alot of stuff. Its everyone's rally and we are working hard to make it the best so far. Hope that answers your question. PS. If you don't want to see the private thread in your view there is a way to ignore it so it won't even show as a choice. Jay

sewing machine, extra material and restless nights = new bike cover

I might suggest you treat it with Coleman's camp dry or a similar waterproofing product. I have had success with it significantly improving the waterproofness with Nylon jackets, rain suits, bags and such. Its pretty cheap and easy. Just soak it down with spray hang it up till its dry then use it. only need to repeat about twice a year.
