  1. Yep, can do and do your carbs as well. Bike needs to be running good before you do a sync, carbs should be working properly. I sync with a vaccum gauge, but I use only one gauge, as 4 different gauges will give you 4 different readings. I use a manifold to connect them together. Come on over, I wouldn't really mind meeting you anyways, and mostly I don't bite.. Carl
  2. So how did you torque the clutch basket back on?
  3. You maybe should ask Black Owl, if a name change was worth while. I still think that you're awesome but you'll never get rid of Aussie. Once an Aussie, always an Aussie.
  4. With that much pounding on the steering head, you may have seated it further than was normal, not likely, but it's a shot.
  5. Yep it's common, especially around 28 to 32,000 rpm. Varies in different bikes, either go slower or faster, depends on the road and the passenger. I changed my clutch basket to one from another scoot and nothing changed. Also, if you wear a headset the mic can pick up the noise and make it seem quite unreasonable, so then point the mic up a little.
  6. Sure glad this part is over for you guys, but it will take some time, and maybe never, to be able to put it in the past, lots of prayer still needed for that.
  7. Reef a little harder, then you get the wheelie gear, and boy can she take off,,,,,opps forgot, I was talking about a first gen.
  8. I thought washing hands was only required when oneself went pee,,, instructions don't cover what to do when it's somebody else's,,, so if there's no instructions doesn't that mean that it doesn't need doing??????????
  9. Glad to hear everything went well and you two are eh ok. Now I have a job to do to get that image out of my mind,,,,,,,,oh what image,,,the one of Tom's humungus licker.
  10. Now if that's too far I can do it as well,,,,,,fine for me to say EH???
  11. Thanks for all your input guys, I really appreciate your confidence, your trust and your willingness to help out poooorr little ole me. Just to inform you though, I have sold my Nuvi to a very deserving person by the name of Jim, and I'm sure that he will look after Nuvi just fine and will put her to good use. Now as far as Zumo is concerned, we are starting to wear on each other and it may soon come to the point where I become boss. It may take a little time, but I will persevere and the hammer is laying on the workbench just so there is no mistake as to who has the upper hand in this case. It's there all night long, so that it will be well inscribed upon the memory of the the one concerned.
  12. I guess you'll just have to go over there and give him a big hug
  13. KO so I screwed up, it's not an 885, it is an 855, one number difference, called dislexia or something like that, glad someone didn't buy it yet and already shipped before I was alerted to my error.
  14. Maybe he just doesn't want to talk to you,,,,ever think of that????????? Course maybe he is just a way tooooo busy getting a real bike all gone over so that he can ride. Now that 2 reasons,,, pick which ever one suits.
  15. He was in Canada again,????????? on Memorial Day Weekend,,,,???????? no wonder things got twisted, wrong place at the wrong time.....we need to make him Canadian,,, then maybe it will look up for him.
  16. Got a Nuvi 885 forsale, used very little,,, reason: I aquired a Zumo 660 by accident so I'm going to keep the Zumo. If anybody is interested let me know. $300.00cdn
  17. I knew I guessed it right,,,,,,,,better watch my backside from now on, or just keep an eye on Charlie
  18. If you Saab has an inline, which I think it does, my friend around the corner (used to do Saab's a lot) says it only takes him half an hour to change the clutch, really the easiest clutch he's ever changed. My was giving me greef when I had one, couple of years back, but it turned out to be a slow leak in the hydrolic system, maybe check it out with that in mind. Don't trade it if it's fixable,,, there's nothing like it anywhere's
  19. Keep her for a week and let us know how she does,,,,then sell her for the highest bid. Did she show up on your doorstep, just unannouced????
  20. Just call it BLACK OWL. he wanted to change his name it might be nice to name it after such a person,, looks just like him anyways..doesn't it bytheway, haven't seen him post much lately,,think he's ok???
  21. Planning a tour through South Western Ontario next week. I'll be somewhere between Windsor, Brantford, Orangeville and The Bruce. My focus is to rally small meat markets\butchers together in trying to change the way our provincial government is handling the inspection system. I suppose it could be seen as a holiday and I kind of like that idea, but I will be focused on this issue, as change is drastically needed in order to save businesses such as ours. Trouble is, most guys feel that they are all alone and have to deal with the government on a one to one basis, so I plan to change that thought somewhat,, maybe even start a new association. So if you know of a small meat market or butcher, let me know, I'll try to pay them a visit.
  22. Actually I plan on riding all next week, maybe even ride through a place called Woodslee, but I won't stop to see if you're home,,,,nah, you'll probably be too busy doing things, wouldn't want to disturb you,,,what you say??????Mary going to be there,,,,,,well I might have a look see I'll get you back, you watch.
  23. To Sleepy 2 for coming out yesterday and helping me put up shelves in my wifes new pantry room, and then eating all the left over burgers, as well as Wizard765 for helping paint that trailer box that's been here all winter that someone is getting kind of anxious to put on the trailer frame. Robin came along (Wizards wife) and helped load the pantry shelves, as well as eat, Phantom wife (Sleepy2's wife) also came for supper. Evan and Anne were by for lunch and we made them happy by getting the intercom working a little less noisey. All in all, we had a great day, but sorry, only pictures of the work done, I guess everyone was a Phanthom, because we got no pictures of people, everybody was camera shy I guess.
  24. Lucky for you, you was on a second gen, otherwise she'd been to late to take that picture
  25. Boy I tell ya, you got them pretty well cleaned up nice since the last time I saw them, question is, where do you get to find time to ride two of them, I can hardley keep one warm,, and you have 2. Enjoy Carl
