  1. Friday, aft lunch.
  2. Time to start this thread I suppose. If I count right there should be about 15 scooters travelling from our area to MD. Do ya'll want to have company? when do we leave? where do we meet. Here's what I have so far: Carl, Wayne, Jopie, Evan, SaddleBum, are available anytime, but plan to meet in Caledonia I think??????? How about the rest Now it's your turn.
  3. I did a bulk buy on Seafoam and DeepCreep. Got a customer who sells this stuff wholesale so I asked him for a couple of cases, so now I got me a case of each. Todays price is 10.00 all taxes in. This is only good for locals though, can't ship it, but if you're around the area you can stop in and pick some up. If I have to buy more the price might increase seeing the posts in another thread that the price has increased in th US. I try to get more next week and see what happens.
  4. 86's are hard to come by,,, but somebody will help you out I'm sure.
  5. It goes back together more or less the way you took it apart, piece by piece, or you could do it like the doctors do and just chuck it all back in, close the hood, tie it down real good and see what happens. Good luck.
  6. Mostly it's channel 29, but I hear some guys are trying to communicate on channel 9,, it's not legal, but it's easier if your CB doesn't have live power for some reason, you don't hear much and always have an excuse as to why you missed the turn,,, other than that I amazed at the consensus here, lucky there are aren't more channels.
  7. Looks like maybe that's changing now, what else can we bring?????????
  8. bet it's blondie
  9. You can't depend on all 4 guages to be exactly the same, and it would cost 4 times as much on guages, so you only use one guage, it's also easier to handle, less weight and less bulk. If you used 4 guages you would also need a longer manifold. I've used it lots of times and find it works as easy and quickly as one of those Morgan things, it's cheaper and less prone to damage, but it does not pack away as well, in that way it's a bit bulky, but it doesn't have to go to maintainance day, I can work wiith a Morgan for one day.
  10. Maybe Don could hook up a webcam for the day. Just a thought.
  11. Dono mattter atal den, i jus brring peace of paper, den you can right no????

  14. Didn't it end up in Northern Ontario just recently, thought I heard something about that, but then maybe I've been hearing things.
  15. Hope you is lucky, but it's Maintainace Day, in Oberlin Ohio, at FreeBirds, comes with good food, lots of BS and very little sleep,,, maybe just what the doctor ordered,,,,, most VentureRiders will be there I tink.
  16. Doesn't Yamaha need a bailout,,,,,,,, I wouldn't really mind to have to ride a second gen to work, but I would keep my first gen for speed and looks.
  17. Who said anything about kids???????
  18. We're booked at the Oberlin, but the room is full, had to take two little,,,, younger ones along and give them a place to sleep.
  19. I'll squeeze the cr**p out of him first, and then while I'll squezzin' Lonna you can have at him for a bit.
  20. Best I can figure from this and the cheapest way to go is not to take the collision, because you own your bike. If you loose it in a collision, do you want the insurance company to pay for it or not, is the $ 100.00 question. Option 1 Liability and Comprehension: 118.19 UN 32.00 UIN 17.00 Policy Fee 60.00 Credit Card Fee 4.89 TOTAL $232.08 Option 2 Liability,Comprehension, and Collision 220.00 UN 32.00 UIN 17.00 Policy Fee 60.00 Credit Card Fee 8.23 TOTAL $337.23 Am I missing something here??
  21. Numbers don't matter a whole lot, what's important is that they are all the same, and yes the sticks will wiggle a little, but if it's too much so you can't get a good read, you need to restrict the lines.
  22. My first question was: WHERE'S RONDA?????
  23. Or you might find that there is already a resistor attached to the wire, and if you haven't cut it off with the probe, just put an end on the wire and run it to the fuse block. You will need a resistor, don't wire it without it.
  24. Best maybe pull the whole bike apart and see what other surprises might be in store,,,,,there are pictures somewhere on how to do that,,,,, 'member seeing them somewhere,,,,,, nah, you may not have it ready for MD and then I'd have to make a detour. Glad you got a fix for that though,,,, seen enough other pictures already.
  25. You will need to have access to the butterflys, so off comes the top of the air box, out comes the filter, and then remove the inner piece sitting inside the filter, it has 4 screws which need not drop into the carbs, for fear of loosing them to the utmost neathers. Now you can place a long screwdriver on the higher side of each butterfly, and gently put your hand on it as you adjust the needed screws below. A gently hold will be able to tell you when that butterfly starts or stops moving. Hope this helps.
