  1. I don't know what you'r complaining about brian? You have both Corner Gas AND the on ramp to highway #1! I will head west to the playground!
  2. This is likely a long shot, but make sure the throttle plate is opening on that cylinder. Otherwise I agree, it is probable a valve.
  3. Congrats on the first ride! Feels good don't it! I just got my daughters bike out of the shed and give the spring once over. Her first ride will be tomorrow. I have racked up 700 Km so far. Seems weird being out before you guys!

    Research

I still wonder if it is a perception issue. Smaller = farther away.
  5. Heavy duty with interprovincial for 22 years. First 12 were ag dealerships, last 10 has been independent truck shop. Average age appears to be going up here as well. My knees hurt, back hurts and i have only spent 40K on tools. Can't figure out why young people don't want to do it for a living?
  6. VE or VA for canada. 6 is alberta, 5 is sask, 4 Manitoba.... The last 3 letters you get to pick. I should blow the dust off the HF rig. I only have a 160M antenna up right now.
  7. Is the strock stator gone already? I was sleeping in. Scotty
  8. Very cool! I may have to play with that. VE6SCY
  9. As a mater of fact my wife saw a goose today. He was standing on a frozen slough. I think he's being a bit optimistic. Oh well, maybe I will just go for a ride tomorrow and enjoy the heat!
  10. I believe that the RSV serves a great niche market. Think of it this way, If a person had a list that that started out with... 1) full dress touring 2) cruiser styling 3) shaft drive / liquid cooling / 4 cylinder (pick one) What are you going to buy?
  11. I put mine in according to the book as well. As far as why they are indexed, I haven't a clue. Maybe its the type of equipment I work on, but I have never ran across indexed wet clutches before. PTO, drive, transmission, brakes in tractors and combines. (actually I haven't chased a combine in 8 years. I still don't miss it!)
  12. I somehow sense a tim hortons coffee run is in order here.
  13. I got my first ride in today as well! it was soo good. I wasn't the only one either, I waved at 5 other bikes, 1 quad and two snowmobiles. typical spring in canada!
  14. I'd like to see that in real life someday!
  15. I got my bike licence and my first street bike on my 16th birthday. 1981 yamaha 250 exciter. My daughter rides it now. I get to teach her all of the finer points of biking, like going for ice-cream!
  16. good! now I can give you a hard time about driving a mercedes:rotf:, cat killer:rotf:
  17. Is it a company truck? because......:mo money::mo money::mo money:
  18. i'm more concerned about the bad injector. M11, 60series, 3406E, what? If the turbo and flex pipe are staying clean and dry it's likely an electrical failure and should not cause any long term harm.
  19. I'm 3 hours north of you but any time you want to take a first gen for a root let me know. (insert miscellaneous first gen/second gen :stickpoke:comment here)
  20. It's a good thing he wasn't wearing a full face helmut. It would have been x rated.
  21. Haven't had to plow here as we haven't had any snow in feb. But with the current heat wave we are having, yesterday I saw a puddle of..er..umm..can't remember what you call it, but its liquid ice.
  22. My uncle once told me that if you ever get intercoms be sure you can always support them, because once you have them you can never go back. I hate it when he is right, he's always right.
  23. I plan to run for prime minister on the platform that we build a pipeline to australia. We can ship you some cold air to help you with your refrigeration needs and at the same time we get some warm air to melt the ice off of our roads as a safety initiative. Now being the overly practical person that I am, I realize that this pipe line can not be built over night, so during construction we will just use air freight.
  24. A lower tech approach I have use to copy a number of cassettes was just to connect the component out of the tape deck to the computer. Any number of applications can make a MP3 of the track. I like audio hijack and audacity. My motorcycles no longer support cassettes.
