  1. hmmm. Appears to be working here. Mac pro os 10.7.
  2. I have the latest forecast update.
  3. I think they are on to us. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ez9t8SlXZz4]Canadian Bacon - YouTube[/ame]
  4. Regarding 2 wheel drive or 4X4, Diesel engines are very heavy and all of that weight is on the front axel. I have had to pull the 4X4 lever on level ground because the grass was wet. In 4X4 it will go through a lot of snow. I love my 1996 cummins 5.9L 12 valve mechanical because loud diesel knock saves lives.
  5. Ya know, considering that you live less than an hour away, we really need to get together for coffee sometime.
  6. Well, its a funny story; Last spring for a birthday present I got a wireless TPMS. I set it up on the handle bar where I could easily see it and tested it all spring. Its really quite impressive. Accuracy is as good as it gets and response time is very quick. It appeared to be an excellent toy for not only early morning checks but while in motion check as well. The system worked perfectly all spring and summer. We then went on holidays. About half way across southern washington the ABS light starts flashing. I checked to make sure nothing was falling apart and also checked the tire pressers with my fancy TPMS thingy. 44 psi in the front witch is about right for the conditions. We carried on. By the time we got to the next town the bike was decidedly pulling to the left and handling was going south. We stopped at a gas station and noticed a virtually flat front tire due to a broken valve stem. The TPMS was still reporting 44PSI. I then removed the sensors and it reported 44 in the front/0 in the rear. I tossed them in the cubby hole. 4 days later it was still reporting 44 PSI. (It has since dropped to 0 and now tests OK.) The unit is still in the cubby hole. I can't decide what to do with it. So my experience has been: its a great thing that works well but when I needed it the most.....epic fail.
  7. my guess is 550 N Geneva Rd, Orem UT Or at least thats where mcr recycling is:detective:
  8. It may help to check/adjust the standing wave ratio (SWR) but don't expect the world. The CB band is not well suited for short range communications. I have a SWR meter and can adjust your antenna for you. scotty
  9. Incredibly well. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eah-rARLjR4]Goldwing, gravel and deer - YouTube[/ame]
  10. With good technique they will come up very easily. If you do it all wrong you can hurt yourself. If you want to practice picking up a large bike let me know. Some friends and I get together in the local parking lot on thursdays. I would be happy to put my bike on its side for you. Scotty
  11. I can tell you are lying because roll up the rim doesn't start till the 3rd week in febuary.
  12. I like bridges and I love grated bridges. If you look down it feels like your flying. The funny part is 10 feet up an extension ladder I become the biggest knee shaking, stomach quivering, white knuckled coward you ever did see. We found this bridge in washington. We turned around just to go over it again.
  13. Congrats on the retirement! If you end up in red deer we will have to meet up for a coffee. If you end up in fort mac...your on your own.

    Engineers

Comprehending Engineers - Take Five Three engineering students were gathered together discussing the possible designers of the human body.* One said, "It was a mechanical engineer. Just look at all the joints."* Another said, "No, it was an electrical engineer.* The nervous systems many thousands of electrical connections." The last said, "Actually it was a civil engineer.* Who else would run a toxic waste pipeline through a recreational area?"

    Engineers

Comprehending Engineers - Take Seven An engineering student was walking across campus when another engineer rides up on a shiny new motorcycle.* "Where did you get such a great bike?" asked the first.* The second engineer replied "Well, I was walking along yesterday minding my own business when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike.* She threw the bike to the ground, took off all her clothes and said 'take what you want.'" The second engineer nodded approvingly "Good choice; the clothes probably wouldn't have fit.
  16. If you want very simple you don't even need a relay. -Connect the left audio, right audio and common audio wires to the I pod. -Wire in a switch to pin 1 and 7. This will produce a glitch being if the Ipod is playing while you are listening to the radio you will hear both at the same time. (you would have to shut off the ipod manually to listen to the radio) The relay just disconnects the audio from the ipod to the radio while in radio mode. The relay can be run by the same switch that connects/disconnects pin 1 and 7. Hopefully this helps and not confusing the issue beyond belief Scotty
  17. We just got home from there a week and a half ago. It is still there and pretty as always! Have a great trip!!
  18. I feel bad because you took a tumble but glad that your OK but bad because your bruised and sore but..... OHHH! the confusion in my brain!

  20. I plowed the driveway again today and hit paydirt in a couple of spots. I might get out tomorrow. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I'm getting itchy!
  21. If the fuel pump is bad I have gotten some of them to go by having someone turn the key to run and giving the bottom of the fuel tank a good kick then start it (all within about 2 sec time frame). They all ran long enough to get it to the shop anyway. Otherwise, yup, you need a tow truck.
  22. So a couple of weeks ago we noticed weird charges on our credit card to the tune of $400. called the company and as a result the card was canceled and the charges would be reversed. No big deal. Today my new card shows up but no new card for the wife, hmmm odd? She checks the statement online and.... are you ready for this......well in excess of $21,0000! Well over the limit I might add! We just got off the phone with the company and it appears they canceled the wrong card. It looks like it will be taken care of. Fingers crossed.
  23. You can use an ear bud as a mike. Not quite as effective but they will work. Really cheap at wallmart.
  24. Funny but true story, My 16th birthday was on a saturday in 1982. I went for my class 6 (motorcyle) on the friday before, as they were closed on saturday, and got it. He told me that I couldn't legally ride until tomorrow. As I recall I put 3 tanks of fuel though my yamaha 250 exciter that day, night and well into the wee hours. I got my class 5 (car) licence 7 months later when it started to snow.
