Its not against the law using auxillary lights and high beam headlights together. There is nothing on the books in this State. Most manufacturers designs them to be used with the low bean because they fugure you're not going to see them with high beams. The term passing lights are from an old expression used many many years ago, that went away with the Model A's. It is one of them laws that is not enforced and our legislators never removed it from the books. Any extra lighting on a bike is safer, and even the manufacturers realized that because now most new cars are equiped with daytime running lights.....

"I'm now not saying that all accidents can be avoided" I agree Dan, ALL accidents can not avoided. The difficults areas is when someone pulls out at some place other than a driveway, or a intersection. A place other than you would expect someone to cross your path. The key word is "expect". Most accidents occurr at intersections, where traffic crosses paths. For this reason even if they may not have the right of way at the time, you expect they could cross........ Both of your accidents were at places you didn't expect some idiot to come into your lane.

Good luck Randy. I'm glad to hear you are getting checked. I've had both done more than once. Colon cancer has run in the family, so I definately believe in being checked before anything gets too far. As for the upper GI scope. Yep, been there too more than once. That is how they discovered my tumor this past summer. I very glad it was discovered when it was, it could have been fatal if not discovered. I am a believer that everyone should get checked on a regular basis, because IT CAN save your life......

If they want to sell motorcycles you need to have them on the sales floor. Kind of hard to sell motorcycles from a catalog.....

The relay for the Stebel horn is not that bad to wire up. I'd say if you need some help there is probably another member close that would be willing to help. I would but I may be a little far away. Or if you can wait till anothef VR get-together I'm sure there would be several volunteers.....
