I cut my windscreen down and went a bit too short, now I am getting blasted right in the eyes with the wind. If this stuff works as advertised it would be the perfect fix. Anyone used it? http://www.saeng.com/4000.htm

I was wondering if anyone knew when Yamaha...excuse me...Star Motorcycles is going to release the 2009 models on their website. I am kinda ichin' to see what new stuff (or not) that they are coming out with.

I have some used 1st Gen stuff I found in the garage that is free for the price of shipping...I want to make it very clear this stuff is used and in need of some repair....there is a grille cover that need tabs repaired, a chrome trunk support rack that needs work, the lower right "Elbow" portion of the of the fairing...again...needs repair, and two of the intake tubes from the front vents.

Yeah yeah, I know its not motorcycle related. I figured I would give any puckheads here a shot a some of this stuff before I EBAY it or whatever I decide to do with it. I am going to move to Florida and am gonna sell of a bunch of stuff I dont wanna drag along with me. If anyone is interested I have tons of autographed hockey pics and cards that I have collected over the years. Some of the stuff I have is: Gordie Howe, Wayne Gretzky (this is framed 8x10 with a die cut icon card included and a stat sheet), Rocket Richard, Terrible Ted Lindsey, Grant Fuhr, Bobby Hull, Brett Hull, Forsberg, Sakic, John Leclair. A Roy Sakic and Lemieux holding the Conn Smythe, Gump Worsley, Boom Boom Geoffrion, Bernie Parent, Mark Mesier, Tony Twist, Dominik Hasek...blah blah blah. Tons of stuff including a 1 year only promotional goalie stick ( a real stick not some cheap plasitc knock off) with the AVS logo and Miller Lite ( Coors Light became the sponsor the second year and still is) and thousands of cards. I am working on a story about our trip to Florida for the magazine I write for. I have posted quite a bit of it and am almost finshed. While sitting around shooting the breeze in Kitchener...the topic of good glues came up. Someone mentioned a really great glue that was better than crazy glue, invisible and they used it to glue some..."angel wings" back on a ornament. Anyone remember this conversation? What was the stuff and how does one get some? Thanks

Man it's smoky. Caugh...caugh...hack!! Nor-Cal is on fire. Last report I heard we have 800 fires going.... and the smoke is everywhere. The sun looks like a big ol' harvest moon. Wish a breeze would kick up and blow this stuff out of the area. Tomorrow morning I'm leaving for ID for a couple of days, and looking forward to breathing clean air.... FIRE MAP

went by my dealer the other day and he is going to get one new vmax with my name on it. no wait. he wanted to put my name on it. think i'm going to have to pass on that one. did get a brochure with all the specs. only going to make 2500. thats the plan so far. think it's strictly a test bed for the new venture motor. the max has possibilities, but it won't hold a candle to my zx14 for looks or performance. not to mention over $18,000 dollars. won't be any aftermarket stuff available for just 2500 bikes. the exaust would have to go. it's butt ugly.almost tops my warriors stock exaust. looks heavy, and for performance shaft drive is'nt the ticket.

my brother, Don H. fooled around and caught a cold. now a cold ain't so bad, for most of us, but for chemo patients, it can be "life threatening". he spent most of yesterday, at the hospital, "getting pumped full of stuff", as he put it. the stuff, was anti-biotics, and fluids. he is dehydrated. i think me and the cold, has convinced him , to stay at home, and forget about work, for a while. please remember my "adopted" brother , in your prayers. just jt.

I went with Sharon to the store today...not optional, so was looking around at Wally's for bike stuff. I washed my all black scoot on a freaky 68* last Monday. Since wax melts off around here whenever scoot is in the sun, I looked at alternatives. This is the 5th black scoot I've had in a row & I'm real tired of constant cleaning + waxing. Most 'wax' goes on 'white'....and I really don't like that, either. Today, I got some Polymer Protective Coating, made by "Mothers" & is called FX or FK...can't tell, but it's CLEAR & supposed to be way better than wax. Cost about $6. for ~10 oz of clear liquid. Not supposed to melt away on a sunny day or leave any white spots. Sure looks good. Can't be any more useless than wax. Anyone know about this stuff??

Ok Gals and Guys. M-Day is month away, and i can feel Pig Roast smel in air already. As Prevois Years, Maintenance Day is a Get Together and do a small fixes event, as, add accessories, Sync a Carbs, add Safety Chrome... etc, Not pulling engine a part, or mayor repairs. On My To Do List Is: Venture: Sync Carbs, and Flush Break, and Clutch Fluid With Speed Bleader. Or Stratoliner: If Somebody Know How to Sync a Trothle bodies. I Can Help with Wiring of any kind, like adding LED lights,Audio Stuff, Power for Accessories, or whatever you guys need. What Is On your TO DO List ? , so we can be ready with parts and stuff for job to be done. :080402gudl_prv:

I just put my new (2000) venture in the garage and started transfering stuff from my 89 venture to find I have more stuff that storage. Does anyone know if there is something like the leather pouches in the front and back on the 1st generation for the 2nd generation bikes? I will need to replace the seat as my better half would like one of the pillow type thrones. Any ideas on where I can find replacement seats? Bob

I've been so tied up with work so far this year I haven't been able to do ANYTHING! I bought a really nice '84 about a year ago and haven't really been able to touch it since. It's been in storage. I gotta be realistic and purge some stuff. I just listed it in the classifieds. I'll add more info when I get a chance to get out to it. Thought I'd give it a show with the "gang" before I put it on the 'bay. I've also listed some parts from the parts bike on the 'bay. It's such a pain, and so time consuming I didn't want to list them here and then there. If anyone from here is looking for any of the stuff listed I'll refund 15% if you email me your VR user ID when you win on anything I listed. with a couple of ABS welding rods, and a little patience, i have "healed up", the brake fluid breaks in my fairing! man this plastic welding , stuff is so much easier and cleaner, that the "homeade glue", method!! just jt

As some of you know this summer I am making a trip from my home in Ft. Collins, Colorado to Boynton Beach ,Fl. Besides my mother worrying about me ( ya know how moms are) and wanting me to keep in contact with her, a few folks at work suggested that I should have like an "online posting" of some sort. A- to let people know where we are and the we are alright and B- to relay some of the cool stuff we might see or do or whatever. Kind of a running documentary. Would anyone be interested in follwing something like that? Goofy question I know but ya never know unless ya ask, I guess.

Is anyone else having a problem when they click on the Ebay link at the bottom of the home page? It doesn't take me where it use to. I end up on a link that has a lot of stuff not for motorcycles and not for ventures. Not the same.

My son inlaw called me last night and told me that when he started up his 07 R.S.V. it had fuel coming out on top of his radiator and he could not tell where it was coming from. He said he could not see because of all the stuff in his way. I would think carb. or fuel line. He just got it in september. the way things have come lose on mine I would say that it could very well be. Dave

Dicided that the time had come for the major operation. With a little help help from a friend (Wizard765) we removed the heart of the machine. Second gear was to be fixed!!! HuH? Where do you find second gear? Couldn't be that hard could it? Must be underneath,,,,,,,,, so let's turn this baby upside down on the workmate and start taking out those little round things,,,,,,,,, yep that works,,,,,,,, oh no what's all this,,,,,,, some forgot to drain the blood first?,,,,, nah just some left overs, thank goodness because you got to put that stuff back in again you know, otherwise it won't run so good,,,,,,,what did you do with all those little sewing up dudads,,,,,,,,,lets put them in separate baggies so we can tell wher they came from,,,,,,,,,,,,now lets see which baggie goes where,,,,,,,,,,,,oh it don't matter, they all fit soemwhere,,,,,,,,,,here, throw them in acoffee can,,,,,I hear that works real good,,,,,, ooooh,lala,,,,,,, we're supposed to make sense of all this?,,,,,,, let's put it back before we forget where it all goes,,,,,,,,,let's just take one more layer off, maybe it will be self explanitory,,,,,,,ya high hopes, now we got more stuff on the bench, how can we work on anything this way,,,,,,,,what's all these pookie looking things,,,,let's read the book,,,,oh that's the gears,, look we found them,,why didn't they mark which ones were second, they all look first to me,,,,,,,,maybe there is another layer that's why they call it second,,,,,I always wondered,,,,,no we did it,,,, they all slid off just like that,,,,,,,,,,did you take a picture to see which one goes on first,,,,,there must be a forward and backwards,,,,,someone posted that he turned it around and it worked just fine,,,,,,,,,,ya but that was the washer not the whole motor,,,,, you don't think it will work the same,,,,,,,after you're done with it you'll need more coffee cans,,,,,,,,just think of all the help I can be to others who are missing parts,,,,might just have the right one left over,, I know, enough of all this, you want pictures RIGHT? Hi eveyone! As I stare at the poor girl in the garage, I can't wait for the weather to get better and get in the saddle again! Meanwhile I figured I would shop and by her some diamonds :mo money:but there does not seem to be much out there. Got myself a JPcycles catalogue and there's lots of nice stuff...problem is not much seems to fit the old gal anymore! Anywhere out there that still has chrome accessories, wheels, etc...that can still be added on? Or should I be looking at stuff perhaps for the Goldwing that would fit her? Any online links...maybe it's me but Google only gives me some batteries, brakes, etc...but no glitter. I'm also looking to replace the seat. Nothing is wrong with it but I want a nicer one. Any suggestions?
