Hello It has been awhile since I've been here but I have a problem! My 01 RSV has no horn working. I installed a stebel horn last year and it has been working fine today I noticed I had no horn. Anyone that can help please reply. Thanks

Just wanted to let you all know that I will have 4 sets of Mic-Mutes available at Maintenance Day. Bill won't be able to make it this year but has mailed me 4 sets for the RSV if any of you need one. The price is $139.95 so you can be prepared. It is a great product.

Over on the Ride On thread a couple of guys said they got 24-30k out of a set of tires. That is WAAAAY more than I get. I only get 11-12k per set. It got me wondering what kind of mileage your getting and how your set up. My set up is.... 2010 RSV 2 up most of the time. Combined weight 400+lbs I pull a trailer about 1/4 of the time. E-3s with 40f-40r Lots of mtn. roads.

Does anyone know if the 2012 stock harley mufflers have the cat inside the muffler? Will these work on our RSV or RSTD? Joe

Happened appon them at there first Hotel as I'm in Ontario, CA on busieness there was one lone RSV in the lot of Harley's and a few wings. Then the next mornining saw a couple groups and trailers on the way out of town. Pretty touching to see them all seemed like a great group of people but I never found the owner of the RSV. I have a set of fishtail pipes for the RSV that I'm trying to ID before I sell. No identifying marks on it that I have found. RSV mounting tab for under the bags. No seams, can't remove the baffles. I'm thinking Samson, but don't know how to verify. Any thoughts? I'll get some photos posted later this afternoon. Iz

I know a lot of you have seen the Youtube video on changing a Goldwing tire by laying the bike on it's side. I was wondering has anyone tried to do this with the RSV? If you start by taking off the saddlebags and the axle nut, couldn't this be done by laying the bike on the left side? I know there's more that has to be done, like taking off the brake caliper and stay, and the right exhaust muffler, but has anyone tried this? It looks like it would work if you're out in the boonies somewhere and don't have access to a lift.

After going on a 200 mile+ ride on the ST1300 last weekend the wife could barely climb off the bike. She was in pain for 2 days after. I showed her a pic of this bike that a local dealer had on ebay and she said "get it....now!" so I did. Another RSV was not an option since I won't put her on a non ABS bike since I totaled the '07. Hope yall like it! ps Mama is now a happy camper and you know what they say about that!

Stopped in the local Yammie shop yesterday to check on something and just happened to see an 08 Venture sitting amoung the other bikes. I thought it might be new until I got closer and saw it was an 08 with 23,000 miles on it. It was priced at $12,999 and I was just curious if that was a good price and if anyone might be interested. CBC Ottawa is showing pictures of a red RSV involved in a collision with a van today in Ottawa. Male driver killed and female passenger critical according to reports. Any Ontario members aware if it might be someone from the forum? Thoughts to all involved....Doug -
I had a custom LED setup for my rear lights, but one of the diodes burned out. I had a friend look at it and because he doesn't know what the diode types are he doesn't think he can fix it. He tried, but it lasted about 30 seconds and burnt out again. Any suggestions for a replacement? The one I had was like this - http://www.customdynamics.com/Yamaha_tail_retro.htm - but $90 plus shipping seems a bit much for a bunch of LEDs on a board. Does anybody know a reasonable replacement for a better cost? I have a regular bulb in there for now, so I don't think there's any kind of short. Bike is a 2001 1300 RSV -

a few weeks ago a friend of ours who has/had a 2000 zuki 800 intruder decided to sell. Deb was talking to her friend when she mentioned it was for sale and a couple potential buyers were looking. we talked and then made a higher offer that was comfortable for both us and our friend. she knew we like the bike and we were the highest bid - so the deal was struck. Debbie has an Intruder and I have the RSV. I put in a new battery and drained the tank. put in fresh gas w/sea foam and it cranked right up and I went for a ride. it is cold natured but it is a fun bike. It feels like a toy after riding the RSV, but it is responsive and fun. I scraped the left peg - I did not realize I was that far over but it was fun. we are the 2nd owners and we just hit the 5 thousand mile mark on it.

Can someone with a Corbin seat/backrest talk me through how to adjust the backrest fore/aft setting? I bought my RSV with the seat on and haven't figured it out just yet. Thanks in advance, Iz

Howdy folks. I am in the process of trying to identify an intermittent problem with my bike. unfortunately I think this may end up including needing to replace the ignition module. I have found some form Pinwall (and another member has offered me one that he purchased used) and I am aware of the Dyna 3000 as a replacement. I don't really have any interest in doing the Dyna replacement and my preference would be for a unit that has a reasonably well known history (ie out of someone's bike that got upgraded to a Dyna unit or something like that). So my question is does anyone have a spare module out of their RSV that they took out for the purpose of replacing the current one with a dyna or whatever? If so, would you be willing to part with it, for how much, etc etc. Thanks a lot!

Life changes and it's sucky at times. I need to sell the ride to pay for the divorce. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4042 I've been holding off on selling for a few months hoping I could get through this and still keep my RSV. That just isn't going to be feasible. I'll buy another one once this storm passes.

Hey all, flying down Sunday the 15th to buy a New to Me bike in Florida and riding home. I plan on buying a Side Car for the Grandchild were raising, and to help with weight balance if needed. Unfortuantly Reverse is not available on a RSV. Thought about a trike, but not for me, not yet. Charlene really liked the colors of the 105th Anniversary Edition on the Heritage we just sold. We both missed the RSV, and the touring line with all the extras, and I could never get comfortable on long rides with the Heritage due to my back. The touring line is a bit more than I want to handle, but the future side car will help out. We are buying a 08 H-D Ultra Classic with 2250 miles, like new. I hope the Ultra is as good a bike as my RSV, which is in great hands with Old School. Still enjoy being on this wonderful site and the Great people here. Later-James "Red Ryder" Beyer

Called Dave Quin Motorcycles and ordered the hagon shock product ID HA M62097U with 300 KG spring. $464.00 plus 17.70 shipping gave him rider 220, pass 180, 20lbs each bag and 20 lbs in trunk. It is an 06 RSV with 81K on the clock and the second factory shock just went. took about 3 weeks to get. As suggested in some of the write ups, I cross tied the bike to plumb then remover passenger foot rest on right side and the plastic underneath. loosened top and bottom bolts then raised on jack stand to rear wheel just off floor. whole job took less than an hour. did the test ride, I think it will be just fine, It's as sport as an RSV gets solo and perfect 2 up. The adjustments on the shock are just as the factory set it, That is red spring all the way to the top (loose). I think it's a winner

hey everyone. i'm new around here, but figure i'll just jump right in with my questions. this won't be the last, i'm sure. alright, i recently sold my '02 rsv and picked up a low mileage (16k) '05 rsv. the problem with the low miles is that it's been sitting up the last year and a half or so. well, i picked it up, rode it the 300 or so miles home. it runs great, better than my '02 did. however, after sitting overnight, my garage stinks of gas. i looked under the carbs. everything looks pretty wet. i see no evidence of gas running out of the overflow tubes. any suggestions?, or should i just take it to the shop? paul

I installed a set of Samson 29" turn outs on my 07" RSV. Should I consider rejetting the carbs? -
One of the people at work today mentioned that they are interested in getting an RSV (2nd Gen). Anyone know of one for sale in SW Ontario?
