1. Reduced the price on my 84 in the classifieds.Bike MUST go.Someone is missing out on a good bike for the price.
2. Ok, before I hit the fleaBay curcuit again I know some of you are parting out some 1st gens. I find myself in need of at least one, if not both of the jointed mounting studs that tie the signal housings to the fender stays. I don't need the entire signal body, just the long angled stud that runs through it with the rubber joint and the short stud to the stay. But if the price is right for the whole assembly that will do to. Found why mine started wiggling so bad. The rubbers joints are breaking up. Let me know, Thanks, Mike
3. what brand bi xenon for 2nd gen rsv and price paid? also is it worth it? what about a projector? brand, price how does it install?
4. At last after spending alot of time researching the bike, I picked up my '08 Midnight Venture today. I was a little uneasy about the purchase as here in the UK the bike isn't well known & I couldn't get other dealers to give me a valuation as it doesn't have a book price. Fortunately as the dealer I bought it from has had it for at least 3 months, I got him to drop £3k on the price - so I couldn't say no!! The wife & I did 150 miles this evening & as the miles went on, our smiles got bigger & bigger! What a fantastic bike, it just got better & better. Did country miles with loads of twisties. Really impressed with the handling & the power. I can't believe that these bikes didn't take off over here, it's a real shame we can't get them new like you can. Thanks for all the help you gave me when I asked for advise prior to my purchase, I'll post some pics tomorrow & look forward to being around here. Who needs a Hardley, when you can ride quality like this?!
5. While I was working at the Speedway this weekend I met a guy who offered me an 86 Venture that he bought from a lady whose husband died. It had sat since 1996 so he took the tank off and had it lined and installed new tires. The carbs are off and he assumes they need to be gone through. He wants to move on to another project and I can get it for a good price. I don't do carbs. I had carbs redone on the Cavalcade I flipped. Does anyone on this forum rebuild carbs and what can I expect to pay. I really don't need another project as I want to finish up my 65 F100 but this one is tempting me!!!!
6. A brief history...had a new 06 RSTD midnight for 3 yrs and got the urge to try an '07 ST1300. Which the wife stated she would not ride it...looked to Tokyo. Which led to another m/c. Looking for either a good used RSV or a HD Glide, RK, I found an '08 RK near Beaumont with 4700 miles before I could find a RSV within 200 miles for the right price. Needs some TLC from sitting up, but other than that all checks out. Still gonna hang out here, don't post to much or do any meets, but I do enjoy reading all the goings on. Yes, it does have the factory mufflers and yes I'm keeping them...I'm not into loud.
7. Hey guys I've got my 99 RSV all apart and I am ready to get it painted. I live in Hickory NC and am looking for someone who would do a good job at a reasonable price. Any suggestions? Also, what in you opinion is a reasonable price to have all the parts painted from a RSV [front fairing, lower fairings, tank, side covers, fenders and saddlebags(not doing the tour pack)]. I want everything sanded and painted back in only one color. So a little help on pricing and any painter suggestions will be appreciated! Pics will follow afterwards.......
8. Just had an bad experience with Motorcycle-Superstore.com . I bought a set of Avon Venoms for my 99 RSV. I looked at a couple of different sites I felt like their prices were good, saw their low price guarantee and decided to go ahead and buy. Another user on here afterward suggested checking the prices over at DennisKirk.com and what do you know, they had their rear Venom for $17 less, may not seem like a lot but we ride for 200 miles on that much. So I called M-S.com to get my price match guarantee this morning and they refused..... Go check it our for yourselves 150/90v-15 at DK.com = $153.43 at M-S.com 169.99. Both offer free shipping. So what's the deal? Motorcycle-Superstore.com will not get any more of my business!
9. I was in Costco the other day and they had a pretty nice looking motorcyle trailer. tried to look it over but they had it standing on end so I could not see the under carriage as it was against the wall. Had nice 12" tires with chrome rims. Nice finish and a fairly low profile. I did think it was a bit long but other than that it looked to be built pretty good. Price was $1400 Canadian. I think you had to buy a spare tire as that was not included. Weight was 150 lbs and cargo load was 250lbs Check out there link http://www.pod-ium.com/PODIUM-motorcycle-luggage-trailer-aluminum.html Bob:301:
10. OK, we all know that all of the model year Gen2 Ventures are pretty much the same. well, I'm fixin' to buy a new ignition switch and a new factory shock. Mine have both gone almost totally, splooey. Yes, I know there are probably better aftermarket units out there (Works, Hagon) but I feel that I need the adjustability that the factory air preload shock offers, so that's what I'm buying. Partshark has the lowest price that I've found, but. I'm finding two part numbers and two different prices. The Partshark diagram shows no vent hose before 2005. Those shocks show a price of $512.84. 2005 and after show the vent hose and a price of $434.50. Now to confuse things worse, one of the years showing the older part number, more expensive shock shows the newer part number at the higher price of the older part number shock. So, the question is....is there a difference between these two shocks and/or price. I don't think there is, and I'm thinking that Partshark has just listed the new updated part number with a wrong price. Why would the older non-vented style shock (if they even make that version any longer) be more expersive than the newer vented style?
11. My local shop wants 65 labor to change the tires each for me---is that a fair price? Thanks everyone chris
12. I picked up one of these yesterday for my shed. The size is just right to keep the bike tools and "stuff" in and the price is right at $150.00.
13. Hi ... It broke this morning. Fortunately I was at home, and not 1000 miles away. Part is: 41V-26313-01-00 Cable 3, Throttle (1986 Venture Royale) If anyone has one in new or good condition and can get it in the mail in the next day or so I would be very grateful, and pay a decent price. Otherwise I will have to wait the regulation two weeks it takes any of those retailers to get one to me, because they won't drop-ship. Thanks Steve
14. How much would it cost for me to get 2 new seats for my 08 RSTD the stock one's that came with the bike. What would be a good price for new one's from some where? Joe
15. OK guys and Gals what model of toggs to I get ?? there are so many to chose from. togg that and toad this.. sheesh Just wanna know what most are using and the price I should be looking at. Thanks for any input. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle-rain-gear#v2-facets%5B%5D=72&page=1&page_size=96&sort=featured Oh and should I go with XL as I wear a large in clothes? to go over the clothes? Jeff
16. I have been sanding the wheels on my 99 to begin polishing them. I still have a long way to go. I looked around at several chromers and polishers and was amazed at their quotes. One polisher, who I liked his work alot, came in at a price higher then some of the chromers. Best chrome price I can get is about 700 bucks. The polished wheels came in just over that. Guess ill just have to knuckle down and finish what I already started myself. The cost is just too prohibitive to farm it out.
17. Here in Ontario Canadian Tire has Rotella T on sale for two weeks at 25% off which puts their price for a 5 gallon pail at $56.99, eh.
18. Anyone out there have a five pin headset they want to part with. I have a 2004 Venture R/S and too many helmets and not enough headsets. My newest helmet is a full face. Give me a price. Thanks.
19. Now that I have the "Taylor Trailer at Atlantic Beach, I will be riding down more often; just discovered that my cover for the bike is too small and I need one to cover the "big" bike. Any ideas where I can buy one at a reasonable price ASAP?
20. OK, I'm going to put my 2008 venture S on the market. Need a little input as to asking price. It has about 12K, new Dunlop Elite 3s last summer. Still under warranty. Has Wagner Fiberglass grill cover. Bike is in excellent shape. Thanks for the input. Steve

24. I'm considering making a purchase in the next day or so. Found a 2005 RSTD in great cosmetic condition, but has 107,000 miles on it. It's at a used bike dealer with no history or documentation but he claims it was a trade in from original owner who did coast to coast touring on it and hasn't had any problems with it. The rear tire is bald, fluids appear old and dark, but the price is about $1500 under book value compared to 30,000 mile bikes with similar equipment. It does have a new windshield and new seat. Hard bags are nice also. I've had ST1100 with 94k miles in the past with no fear of the bike letting me down, but I had receipts that went back 5 years and A LOT of work was done to it. Would you take the chance? What would you inspect before laying out the cash? The price is $3500. If a rebuild or major failure is eminent at 107k, it would be smarter to go with a $5000 bike with lower miles. Considering the highway touring it's had, I wonder how religious the owner was about oil changes and valve adjustments? Anyone else with 6 digits on their odometer?
25. So far we have a total of 11 interested. If I can get a total of 20 orders the cost would be $19.50 each and that would include me buying the mailer and also the postage. I myself would be willing to buy 3 extra making it a total of 14, for those who might be interested after the order is placed. Of the 11 interested maybe there might be 6 people that would buy 2, being that this is a pretty darn good price and might want to give one to a friend for say a Birthday or maybe a Christmas present or maybe your friend did you a favor and you just want to say thank you. For anyone buying two the 2nd would be $17.00 for 2.50 less on the mailer and shipping. So please indicate if you, the below, want 1 for 19.50 and if you would be interested in ordering 2. In your reply I need your Name Mailing Address. If the total confirmed order count is less than 20, I will then ask for a new price for that order and get back to each that order. friesman1 MasterGuns Flyinfool dingy yamtom Wizard765 camos KIC gscbertrand Indiana Hayseed PB&J .
