This is one of the roads we usually ride at The Asheville rally.It now has a name and has photographic coverage my Blind Kenny.If you are ever in western NC this is a must ride.The ride starts in Marion NC and ends in Micaville NC crossing the Blue Ridge parkway.16 miles long with 2000 ft elevation change.If in the area The Diamondback US226a is about 10 miles away.Another must ride. http://www.thedevilnc80.com/

I had my 99 with sidecar and my 86 painted in Marion,but they are no longer in business.$1000 for both bikes.

I need a radio antenna.How much $$$$?

I ever done.For 5 years the radio on my 1st gen had very low volume.Yesterday,while working on the bike I ACCIDENTALLY pushed the mute button on the remote and the radio about blasted out my eardrums.I never knew that button was even there.Don needs to add a donate button for the dumb things we have done on these bikes.I feel better now.

Peanut Butter works great.I removed all the dealer stickers from my vehicles by heating slightly with a heat gun then peel off the sticker.After that I use creamy peanut butter to remove the sticky stuff.

1.My owners manual says this motorcycle is not intended to pull a trailer,but we do and thats OK 2.My manual says it is not safe to exceed 80 mpr with a trunk and side bags,but we do and thats OK 3.My manual list Dunlop or bridgestone tires but we use other brands and thats OK 4.My manual says it is illegal by federal law to modify or alter the exhaust system but we do and thats OK. 5.No where in the manual does it say never to use a car tire on a motorcycle. PS: Nowhere in my manual does it say a 1st Gen is faster than a 2nd Gen but I am still looking IT IS ALL A PERSONAL CHOICE

Congratulations on your retirement.27th of June is my retirement day.After 2 years of unemployment and 2 1/2 years of unemployment for my wife it will be nice to have a few dollars in the pockets again.Now it's time to sell all my bikes and hit the road.

Get a 2nd gen and you dont have to work on it 4 hours a day waiting for it to come together.I rather spend the 4 hours a day riding even "IF" it is slower but then again you would be spending more money for gas

The Rooster Tail (hiway 80) and The Diamondback (hiway 226A)both roads have an elevation rise of over 1000 feet and both are within eyesight of my house. Both of these roads make the Dragon look like a NASCAR oval track.

I went to Cherokee rally 2 weeks ago.What a bust also.Saw no more than 50 bikes all day.Normally there are thousands there.no vendor set up.Saw more WELCOME BIKER signs than bikes.

I bought a new laptop and when I go to a thread here it is soooo wide I have to scroll left and right to read it.Never had that problem with my other laptop.I have a COMPAQ Presario CQ 57.I hate having to do that everytime I read a thread.

Can't prove it by my 86 being faster than my 99,even with the sidecar.

Must be for 1st gens only.The XXL which they said fit a Goldwing,sure didn't fit my 2nd gen.I guess a 2nd gen is bigger than a 1st one.

I bought one of those a couple years ago.Fits my riding mower real good.Better luck with yours
