When I got my 86 5 years ago the switch was missing.The wires were jumped together but the bike would only start in gear with the clutch lever pulled.But with that said I had a switch for about 3 years and finally decided to install it.I got the bottom screw in but there is no way to get the top screw in.Can someone please tell me how to get the top screw in.The switch works fine but I'm a little leary about having only one screw in it.

I'm having problems posting pictures but it is the same as this one.It is an Escapade with swivel hitch and air shocks.The chrome is starting to peel on the rails but other than it is in excellent condition.

One of our members,sgn,bought my 99 today.Sad to see it go but I believe it went to a good home.Now if I can get rid of these two 1st gens and the trailer we will almost be ready to hit the road.

Paint it white,put a name on it and call it a golf ball.All joking aside,If my PT Cruiser was hail damaged I would cry cause I have $5000 in airbrush paint on mine.

I did a post awhile back on how I installed the RK's on my 86.You don't need any brackets but I did make 2 trips to the muffler shop to get the 2 exhaust pipes bent.Total time about 2 hours.I don't know how to link the post here.

So what you are telling me is,even with the bikes parked in my garage with the 99 in front it is actually faster sitting still.Makes sense to me. And I believe what you are saying is documented so that is good enough for me. if I had a moped sitting in my garage in Ecuador I could outrun a Venture running 100 mph in WV.

I've heard it over and over that the 1st gen is faster than the 2nd gen.I have a 86 and a 99 with sidecar.There is a straight stretch of road here we call the dragstrip.From the big rock to the mailbox I ran 85 on the 86.On the same stretch on my 99 I ran80 and that was with the sidecar.Does anyone have documented proof that the 1st gen is faster other that I said it is.does anyone have drag slips where the same rider rode both bikes?I HONESTLY do not believe my 86 is faster than my 99. PS. Bet this will probably be deleted within the first 10 repliees but I do need an answer and not just an opinion.

Why miss out on a good days ride.100 is great riding weather.Supposed to be 103 here in the mountains saturday but I will be in full leathers out enjoying the scenery.I do my best riding in the heat.Doesn't your bike have AC?

We was in Lake Lure today only 20 miles from me.i do the 80, 226a and lake Lure loop almost everyweekend..I live in Marion so all these roads are in my Backyard.You also need to ride 181 from the parkway to Morganton.next time give a yell and i can take you on some other awesome roads in the area.mt mitchell and grandfather Mountain are some breathtaking rides also.couple pix of the ride to top of Grandfather Mountain

Should have called.I live just 2 miles from there.About 5 miles from there is The Diamondback 226a which goes down the same mountain,almost as good a ride.

Friend has a chevy equinox 2005.The battery died and was replaced but it now has a CD error code.It has 6 cd's installed and will not eject them.Radio works good.The dealer said the stereo was bad and will have to be replaced.Any ides how to eject the cd's.Thanks in advance

Been unemployed for a year and a half and the wife 2 and half years vacations have been long gone but the holidays are still here.Will be n ice to hear a little jingle in the pockets again.Sure got rough for a little while.
