  1. Darn Skid I had 2 racks at Asheville rally.I sold one for $5.I still have one and it has a motorcycle trunk mounted on it.i have the lights but haven't wired them in yet.You could have gotten it REAL cheap had I known you wanted one.And the trunk was black, just saying.Hey Yammer Dan,when you buy my 86 you can deliver the rack to Skid.LOL LOL LOL
  2. Someone posted on my car club site it is good luck if a snake passes in front of you so I went to the store and bought a $10 scratch off and won $100. I pocketed $90 and bought lottery tickets for tonights drawing.
  3. Nope, parked the car in the garage and went in the house and changed my pants.LOL
  4. The car is a mid engine Porsche and we had been driving 3 hours already when the snake crossed the (frunk) front trunk hood.
  5. Nice sunny day so the wife and I took a nice 3 hour ride in the convertible. We was about half a mile from home when it happened....Going about 20 mph when a GIANT snake crawled across the hood right in front of us..Holy cow..SCARED the crap out of us...hit the brakes and it slid ac ross the hood and windshield and fell off the drivers side fender.I have no idea where it came from as there was nothing for it too fall off.Actually it was about one and a half feet long but when we saw it UP close it was at least 30 feet long. That was an hour ago and I am still shaking.
  6. I resemble that remark. My Porsche has a cassette player
  7. The parts was 4 tires and wheels for my Porsche and the price was free just come and pick them up, With that being said the price of the gas and the time there and back was worth it if I had received the parts.I don't know if I would make another trip for them but if I was anywhere near fhe area again I would probably drop by and pick them up.maybe they will still be available next year during Vogle then I could justify the few extra miles to Alpharetta and get them.LOL
  8. I found some parts for my car from a member of the porsche owners club.I called Friday and made arrangements to pick them up today.i called last night to confirm our meeting today.Well this morning I headed out to Georgia.Got there 30 minutes early so I had a quick lunck.I called the member and got voice mail.I called again in 15 minutes and got voice mail.I drove to the house but no one home.I called 3 more times and 3 more visits to the house and no one home. After one and half hours I headed home.250 miles each way and the temperature was 98 and I never use AC,$100 for gas and lunch and a long hot day.just curious how some of you would have handled this.I do know things happen beyond our control and I am not mad or anything. If they ever contact me would it be asking too much for them to deliver the parts to me.
  9. I would first check if there is an on/off switch on the left passing light and make sure it is turned on.Maybe someone turned it off.
  10. I get it also and only on this site.I was also getting pop up ads top and bottom of page.i installed adsblocker and all ads stopped and I haven't heard the ghost since then.
  11. My wife makes me go every year. She likes for me to stay abreast of whats going on.
  12. Even though I had no bike I still would like to thank Randy and everyone who had a hand in putting this event together.I am proud I live in the local area of the event as I get to ride these roads daily. It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones. The guy on the Honda we met at the campground and rode with us kept bragging on the group and said he was gonna join venturerider and that says a lot about this group.Even though I can no longer ride the bike I had a blast driving the convertible and following you guys and gals.Saturdays ride was just a small percentage of the great roads we have here.If you are ever in this area give me a call and I can hook you up for some great rides. Thanks again for another great event.I LOVE calling North Carolina home.
  13. Left Asheville last night at 8:30 and got home at 8:45.That 15 minutes was a record for me.
  14. Hey Wayne, haven't seen you in awhile.I'll be at KOA around 8.Will be good to see you again.
